Always used dark themes and walls on my phone until now. The Note 10 screen is so good the lighter colours just make it look so good.

Galaxy A50. This battery life is insane! 8+ SOT, over 17 hours on battery, used for music for 3+ hours, watched YouTube, used for workout timer, browsing reddit, and more.. loving this phone!

"Samsung releases August security patch for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge" = 4 years of security patches. What are the chances of the S10 at the minimum gets ~3 years of android updates and +4 years of monthly security updates and 5-6 years of quarterly updates?

Anyone else having wifi problems on the new A70?

    Posted: 28 Aug 2019 08:07 AM PDT

Got a new A70 to replace my Note 4 and the wifi stability on it is awful, it keeps randomly either disconnecting or throwing up that exclamation mark, making me use my precious limited 250mb of data in Canada.

My router hasn't changed, my distances haven't changed, no other devices have this problem, only the A70, several times a day I'll be streaming or playing a game and the connection just drops, wifi icon either disappears or goes into exclamation mark. It won't come back by itself, I have to turn off and on wifi and then it connects just fine.

Googling the issue seems this is a pretty common problem for the new A-series phones, both the A50 and the A70 have lots of people complaining about same unusually weak and unstable wifi radios. They even released a firmware update in May that was supposed to fix this issue and it didn't fix anything.

Figured people should know this if they're thinking about buying a new A70 and they can't afford a lot of data. I probably wouldn't even notice the wifi going in and out 90% of the time if it wasn't for me getting all sorts of "you've used all your data" warnings from my carrier.

Samsung buds pricing error on kits

    Posted: 28 Aug 2019 07:59 AM PDT

If you are using the 150 or 100 dollars from the preorder on the samsung kits. The kits are giving a pricing error due to buds being out of stock so it will give full price instead of the promotional rate. Ex. life style and entertainment kit is 220 dollars, but if you order it now it will charge you 300 dollars. Customer care will submit a ticket once it's back in stock. 1-866-888-5503

A70 for 340$ is it a good deal?

    Posted: 28 Aug 2019 07:24 AM PDT

If the Mi 9T didn't exist this would be a no brainier but I also founded the Mi 9T for 380$

Keep in mind even tho I'm speaking with USD I don't live in the US but in Albania (Ballkans in Europe) so that's why the prices may seem strange

After 8 years with Samsung smartphones, thinking about switching. Change my mind (please).

    Posted: 28 Aug 2019 07:16 AM PDT

I've enjoyed using the Galaxy Nexus, S4, S6 Edge+ and currently the Note 8. I actually really like my Note 8, but there's a small scratch in the screen, and my 2-year upgrade cycle ends this October. My company gives my $999 USD to spend on a personal phone every 2 years (I can contribute to this to buy a more expensive phone), so I see no reason to get the best. But, what's best is different for different people.

As an enthusiastic amateur photographer, my top priorities are still-photo quality and display quality - two things Samsung traditionally excels at. Since I've started processing more of my photos with my phone (using Adobe Lightroom), processing power has become more important to me. As someone who needs to be on conference calls moderately often (and I hate the idea of having BT headphones to always keep charged), the headphone jack is a desirable feature for me. I also like having a MicroSD card that I upgrade and swap out as I see fit.

I don't understand the drive for a bezel-less display and can't see the benefit. I'll be putting some sort of case on the device anyway, so there's a border right there. Even with a case, I already touch the sides of the my Note 8 screen when I don't mean to, and I often can't click links or buttons that are right on the curved edge. But my main concern is with the notches and hole-punches. I think they're ugly and distracting. I don't strive to take awesome pictures and then edit them to perfection, only to have a black hole in them. As soon as I shrink the screen inside the hole-punch I'll be thinking about the screen real estate that I'm no longer using that could be taken up with sensors or other hardware.

I've been leaning toward the S10+, but for the first time ever I'm seriously considering looking into the Pixel options like the 4XL that will probably become available right when I'm ready to upgrade.

Can anyone with a gen-10 Samsung device offer some encouragement/reasons for me to stick with Samsung? Or, perhaps someone has some perspective about my priorities and gripes?

    Thanks for any feedback.

Galaxy s8+ for $280 worth it?

    Posted: 27 Aug 2019 09:23 PM PDT

The phone is manufactured refurbished and it's in really good condition. My phone broke and I don't want to spend more than $300.

Screen off time 0.1% per hour Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition)

    Posted: 28 Aug 2019 06:55 AM PDT

I have a galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition, it uses 0.1% battery per hour with the screen off (20% in 177h40m). Note: Telegram, Whatsapp, Instagram, Snapchat or any other messaging app are not installed. I am not using the SIM card. WIFI is on all the time. So I think we can't blame google play services for the high battery consumption on our smartphones. What do you think? https://imgur.com/a/UgDnyDI
