Posted: 01 Aug 2019 09:40 AM PDT I want something with a beautiful UI. A basic feature set is just fine. I'm just in for the timer, basically the essential use of Pomodoro technique [link] [comments] |

I want a good app, free/no root required, to recover some photos and videos.. that only shows the recovefable Deleted photos not every photo. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2019 09:08 AM PDT Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me input on a reliable call blocker that actually works. So far I've tried Truecaller, Should I Answer, there must be one available that does what I want. I was hoping someone could help me. Thanks [link] [comments] |
Review of harmful apps on Google Play in July 2019 Posted: 01 Aug 2019 04:43 AM PDT All these discovered apps and their install numbers are based on researches, blogs, reports, tweets published in July, 2019 by #infosec community. I just did the math. Summary: https://twitter.com/LukasStefanko/status/1156835181296308224 [link] [comments] |
Are there any apps that *actually* boost volume or all they are crap? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 05:06 AM PDT I've just tried a few, like this one for example (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.enlightment.easyvolumecontrol) and all they do is be a middle-man between you and the natural volume control levels of media/system/call sounds. I'm looking for something that could possibly make voice calls (not necessarily speakerphone/media sounds) - but the actual ear-speaker, louder. Is that a thing or nah? This would be with a Pixel phone, if it matters. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2019 09:26 AM PDT I got a £10 pre-paid e-wallet but can only use it for apps and websites. Is there any app in the UK where I can withdraw from my e-wallet and send to my normal account? I saw Mobikwik but it's not available in the UK. [link] [comments] |
Any good keyboards that have no emojis what so ever? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 03:53 AM PDT I really like the swift keyboard. But, the comma and the numbers have that damned emoji shit wedged right between. Any help would be much appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Why should I pay for Adguard instead of just using Blokada ? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 12:36 AM PDT I am in trial version of Adguard and loving it. I have never used Blokada. Can someone, who have used both of these adblockers, explain to me what are the advantages and disadvantages of adguard over Blokada. Only thing I know of is that Adguard removes spaces for ads also when removing ads. [link] [comments] |
App to remove audio from a video file Posted: 01 Aug 2019 08:23 AM PDT Looking for a video editing app that will remove audio and keep the same video quality. bonus if it lets you trim the video down. I've found "Video Mute" but the thing has so many ad pages popping up its impossible to use, than i tried "Video Sound editor" but it changed my video file down to the tiniest video on earth with out having any settings to change video quality. went through about 20 other apps that "edit videos" but most are just for adding sound effects, trimming video, adding text/etc doing special effects, any ideas on what i can use? These days installs in lifetime doesn't update correctly on Play Console. Posted: 01 Aug 2019 04:30 AM PDT Hi I am Android developer. I found out these days installs in lifetime doesn't update correctly on Play Console. Like only a few installs are counted in lifetime even when I got tens or hundreds installs in a day. Did the way to count the install change? Anyone having the same issue? [link] [comments] |

Solid Explorer can no longer "Save to" my internal storage via the Share button [Pixel 3] Posted: 01 Aug 2019 11:55 AM PDT Trying to save some photos from Google Photos to a folder on my phone (Pixel 3). I use Share > "Save to..." (Solid Explorer), and select the folder, but the notification shade tells me "file copy failed". And yes, the app has permission to use Storage. I also tried clearing cache/app data, but no success. I believe this used to work. Anyone else having this problem? https://i.imgur.com/7QsnhBA.png (Note: tapping the notification just launches the app) [link] [comments] |
[Dev] A manual calorie tracker WITHOUT a database Posted: 31 Jul 2019 07:22 PM PDT Today I released Self Serve The gist of the app is that it lets you eyeball your calories. After a while of tracking my calories I got pretty good at estimating and memorizing the calories and macros within foods. So I switched from My Fitness Pal to a pen and paper. Now I'm going back from a pen and paper to an app. Just enter the name of the food, and the calories or just enter the macros and the app will automatically calculate them. There's some neat charts and the IAP allows you to export to Excel/Google Sheets. It has no ads and it will never have ads. Posted: 01 Aug 2019 05:23 AM PDT I'm using Pocket Casts right now, and it's great for my free podcasts, but it's driving me crazy that only the web player version is letting me save username/password combinations for my subscriptions podcasts. I've requested that they implement that functionality into the app, but it's been years and unfortunately, it seems clear that it's just not a priority for them :( So does anyone know an alternative that is as good at keeping things synced between Android and Windows PC's but plays more nicely with subscription podcasts? An Alexa skill would be a plus but not a must. Oh and to be clear, baking the login info into the RSS is unfortunately not an option in this particular case. [link] [comments] |
An app to stream camera of other phone to another? Posted: 31 Jul 2019 06:30 PM PDT I have a tablet with no camera. I would like to stream my phone's camera to my rooted tablet and essentially emulate a camera so I can use it in certain apps. [link] [comments] |
App or tweak that makes anything on the screen behind a PiP object silent? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 03:37 AM PDT Is there such an app or tweak such that, when I open a PiP object (e.g. Youtube in PiP mode), the screen behind it goes silent/volume is zero? Such that I can only hear what's in my PiP object regardless of whatever I'm doing in the background? Thanks for suggestions. [link] [comments] |
Suggestions for call recording apps? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 08:51 AM PDT Play store has several but lots of mixed reviews. Looking for suggestions that people have actually used. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
Looking for a decent homescreen digital (resizeable) widget app. Any suggestions? Posted: 31 Jul 2019 07:48 PM PDT So far, when I set up fresh new devices, I tend to install Xperia Clock, as I used to be a fan of the Sony's front-end UI talking about overall design. Sony fails now, but still, when I finish installing Nova Launcher, I really miss a big-sized digital clock in the homescreen. Any suggestions of a reliable, not glitched and free app for a ready to use widget? Link of Xperia Clock Widget: It's highly customizable, but it glitches really frequently. I'm looking for an alternative that doesn't show as many bugs as this one does. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Caller app with lookup other than contacts Posted: 01 Aug 2019 07:49 AM PDT I'm looking for an app that can look up the phone number of an incoming call on a source other than contacts and then display the returned result instead-alongside the number. I don't really care what the technology of the source must be (http get, sql query, api, whatever) To be more descriptive, i have a mysql database in which i have a view that returns name + phone number. When someone calls my phone, i'd like the app to lookup the phone in contacts AND in whatever external source it allows me to specify. The ideal would be for the lookup source to be a simple odbc connection and the app to work asynchronously, but beggars can't be choosers. [link] [comments] |
App that gives a summary of news? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 04:01 AM PDT So I'm looking for an app that can give me the summary of any news story. Not the entire story. I'm mostly interested in Android and Google (Tech Mostly). I use Android Police, Android Central and Android Authority for News. Sometimes even XDA. However I want an app that can give me only a summary of News and not the entire article. Any suggestions. [link] [comments] |
How to login in YouTube Vanced Posted: 01 Aug 2019 07:43 AM PDT Hello guys, I just switched phones (I now have a OnePlus 7) and I can't seem to login in YouTube Vanced anymore. I looked it up and other people suggest to disable Chrome to login. I tried this method but it doesn't work. Any idea ? [link] [comments] |
