Windows 10 in Hyper-V VM Posted: 29 Aug 2019 10:19 AM PDT I've got a Windows 10 VM running in Hyper-V and Windows did a feature update last night. Now I am unable to use Remote Desktop to get into the VM. Hyper-V Connect still works. I know Remote Desktop is able to connect to the instance because it's authenticating and will even fail authentication but when it starts "securing connection" the connection fails. I just created a new VM from a new Win10 image and I'm getting the same error. The error is: Your Remove Desktop Services session as ended, possibly for one of the following reasons: The administrator has ended the session An error occurred while the connection was being established A network problem occurred. Can you recommend a free screen recording software? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 01:58 AM PDT It should record screen with audio. (Not games) Output file should be mp4 and good quality. Colors look a bit different since the update Posted: 29 Aug 2019 04:21 PM PDT I updated today to 18362.295 today and the colors are kind of messed up. The background is a different, lighter picture, and the taskbar is lighter as well. But it seems like the right click menu is a bit darker than before. Kind of grey-ish(it reminds me of my first computer with windows 98). And on some websites, what used to white is now kind of gray-ish as well. All other colors seem ok. Custom resolution Posted: 29 Aug 2019 03:46 PM PDT Hi! I am trying to record a horizontal scroll website and I'm wondering if there is any way to set a custom screen resolution for recording. I want a really wide resolution so I can get the whole website into one frame (6000x1080). Is there any way I can achive this? Not sure if this is the right sub to post this on. Failed to activate windows 10 enterprise/pro Posted: 29 Aug 2019 04:14 PM PDT I have received a legal copy of windows 10 enterprise from my school. When I downloaded it, I was not able to enter a product key, as my school's IT center explained that activation would automatically occur shortly after connecting to the school's network. I have been connected for a few days now, and activation still says "We can't activate on this device right now". When installing enterprise without an activation key, my OS seems to have defaulted to the free version of Windows 10 Pro. New Update Deleted Everything Posted: 29 Aug 2019 05:37 PM PDT Windows forced me to update because they were no longer supporting my version. After when I turned on my computer everything except my programs were deleted; files, passwords, bookmarks, backgrounds. I managed to get it back by reverting to an old version. Slow internet after update Posted: 29 Aug 2019 03:08 PM PDT Hi After a recent windows 10 update on my PC, my browser has been severely impacted in loading speed. Sites load slower, videos load slower. Everything is just worse. It does this on every browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla firefox, edge) It doesn't affect normal programs however (Like Discord fx). It's not my internet either, as that's the same as before the update. Is there a a way to fix this? I think this is due to Antimalware Service Executable as this is what's taking up the majority of the memory %. I've tried following the instructions here to fix it, but when I get to Step 4 (click Conditions) these are all greyed out and I can't tick/untick anything. Why isn't my mic working? I've tried using headphones with a built-in mic and still nothing. If it was a hardware issue, wouldn't the headphones mic still work? Maybe I'm wrong. Lenovo Yoga 720 15 brightness function key issue after Windows 1903 update? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 06:43 AM PDT So basically my laptop (a Lenovo Yoga 720 15) has a brightness function key and before the update to Windows 1903 it used to gradually increase whenever I pressed it making increasing or decreasing the brightness look really smooth but after updating to 1903 whenever I press it now it increases in increments making it feel so jagged and laggy any idea if a fix for this issue exists? submitted by /u/MrCelroy [link] [comments]

Formatting D: didn't help.
