Preview Video: 3D Android Photo Gallery (using AI)

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 09:37 AM PDT

I'm developing an app that takes your photos in your Photo Gallery and shows them in 3D. It does this with the help of AI.
There's an option to export the generated depth map as well as an option to Save and Share as Wigglegram GIFs.
In the future I'll add anaglyph support just because I think that would be awesome.
Right now the aspect ratio is incorrect and only portrait mode is supported, but it's a small issue to solve.
I'll launch soon and throw you all obligatory free keys!

    Musicolet player and playlists

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 11:31 AM PDT

I've just installed Musicolet music player and I'm liking the UI and feel a lot. However I'm having problems when loading playlists prepared on my PC. Basically when a playlist is loaded any "duplicate" tracks are removed, and in some playlists I use the same track several times over. Does anyone know a setting to allow all to be loaded? Also when loading playlists Musicolet itself doesn't load all the tracks, for example loading 50 or 60 tracks from a playlist of 80~90. The files themselves exist in the directory structure on the phone so I have no idea what to do to get them to load. Any ideas?

Is there an app that lets you take a picture without opening the camera at all?

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 09:19 AM PDT

For video recording, there's an app called "Quick Video Recorder", which adds a button to the quick settings. You can use it to take a video in the background, so the camera does not have to open at all.

Is there an app like this but for taking pictures?

I'm looking for feedback on my project

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 11:19 AM PDT

    Hi everyone

I'm developing a website that might be quite useful for members of this subreddit.

Since a big part of discovering great android apps is, well, the discovery, I wanted to improve this experience. While I agree that getting recommendations from real people on reddit is a better option than reading through the "Top 35 Best Android Apps 2019", searchability remains a bit limited. With this in mind, I set out to make something which I consider to be a step above reading comments for recommendations.

In order to validate this idea, I need feedback from actual users. I don't need money, and am not here to advertise what I am making (and will not link to the website directly).

However, if you think this is something that would be interesting to try for a few minutes, and you would not mind potentially giving me your valuable opinion, so I can know what needs to be improved, comment below and I will DM you a link

App for storing important documents/pictures securely?

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 11:03 AM PDT

I've had situations where I've needed to send pictures of my Social Security Card and or/driver's license for a new job or when opening a bank account. As such, I'll sometimes just snap a picture on my phone then upload it. With personal info like my SSN, I delete the picture immediately.

Are there secure apps that would allow me to keep these documents on my phone for times I need to use them? It'd be easier and make me a bit more comfortable than having to take a new picture or scan it through the scanner at work every time it's needed.

App that stops specific apps running in the background - trying to re-find it, the DEV was on Reddit recently promoting it...

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 04:05 AM PDT

The idea of the app was that you placed specific app icons into a folder on your home screen and the app would ensure a complete shutdown of the specified apps when you exited them. I think the word "locker" was in the name. Any ideas anyone? The DEV was on here probably within the last month.

non-mirrored front camera app that isn't awful

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 04:20 AM PDT

Hello, could anyone here aid me in my seemingly-impossible quest to find some way to NOT mirror the front camera preview on a Galaxy S7?

I get that it's mirrored for ease of use when composing selfies and the like, but I don't care about that, I can adapt to that when framing.

I already have it so that front camera photos come out the right way (i.e. non-mirrored), but I want to be able to preview it exactly as it will come out, and I'm pretty amazed that this isn't a standard feature on modern phone cameras, or at least a "problem" that's instantly solved with an easily-found high quality app.

I've read the reviews on some apps that are supposed to provide a 'non-reversed mirror', and have been put off by a number of them saying the image is stretched and generally low-quality, as well as full of ad crap. One that simply did this with the same quality as the standard S7 camera, not distorted, and integrated nicely with the camera to be able to simply snap away like normal, that would be ideal for me.

I essentially just need the preview to be exactly the same as the outcome - setting it so that the photo that comes out is mirrored (matching the preview exactly) and then flipping it later seems an arse-backwards approach, and one that doesn't solve the issue when initially trying to compose the exact picture! =/

    Can anyone help?

Music players that allow me to set gap time?

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 05:30 AM PDT

I like long gap (about 10s) between two tracks when listen to music, but my Poweramp seems doesn't has this option?

edit: jetAudio does this.Btw I find myself can't live without Poweramp (sounds superior and polish) despite it lacks gap time setting.

Wallpaper changeing based on what day it is. Does this app already exist?

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 10:22 AM PDT

I have a Samsung galaxy s8 and I was wondering if there is an app that can change my wallpaper based on what day it is. I was going to use it to have it daily change my wallpaper to my schedule for the day. I was thinking that I can use pictures from my camera roll or Gallery that I can pick one and what day(s) it is going to be used.

So I was wondering if there is such an app already or if anyone has the interest to create a launch that concept I would love it and use it.

    Thanks in advanced

[DEV] Hey guys, please give me feedback of my new app please!

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 10:20 AM PDT

Hey guys, I have just created my 6th app called Memorable Places. You just open the app and click "Add a new place", then you can either search or scroll the map activity and find your memorable place and long press on the location and it will save the location and add a marker, and then you can hit the back button and youll see it on the home screen. It will either give an address, or it will give the time you stored it if the google maps api cant find a location address. So if yall would, just please let me know of any features to add, or bugs to fix. Thanks! You can find the app here!

[DEV] [GIVEAWAY] Reloop for Instagram, the next generation of boomerang videos.

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 10:16 AM PDT

    Hi r/androidapps,

We all are familiar with Instagram's boomerang video. It's fun, captivating and helps transforms everyday moments into delightful mini video. But, boomerang has remained the same since it's inception. No improvements to it till date.

Reloop changes that, and builds upon boomerang, to create new kind of looping videos, that are short, easy to create, fun and engaging.

Basically, RELOOP IS BOOMERANG ON STEROIDS with new modes to make the videos even more delightful.

Check out our App : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.reloop.android

    HOW IT WORKS

    - Choose your desired effect: SEESAW or ECHO - more to come

    - Find something (or someone!) that's moving, or create a video selfie by switching to the front-facing camera( Don't forget to make funny faces).

    - Tap record button once and Reloop does the rest: shoots a burst of photos and turns them into a delightful fun mini video.

    - Share it on Facebook and Instagram right from the app, or save your video to your camera roll to share later.

    FEATURES

    * Take mini videos of your life and yourself using the front and back facing camera.

    * Download and start capturing immediately. No sign up or account required.

    * Easy to use - Just select your effect and Record. It captures bursts of images and makes unexpected short videos that are fun to watch.

    * Share your videos on Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp, Tiktok, Twitter or any other social media platform right from the app* Save them, and share later from your camera roll.

The app is in Open Beta and would love to get some initial users and feedback. If you'd like a promo code for a free lifetime upgrade (100 AVAILABLE) to premium, please upvote and leave a comment and I'll DM you the code within 24 - 48 hrs.

Please Make sure to Leave Genuine Rating and Feedback 😀 We really appreciate it

    Cheers!

Transfer data from Moto G4 to G7

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 09:31 AM PDT

My G4 is on it's last legs. About to purchase a G7.

How do I go about transferring the data? I am concerned mostly with photos, videos and SMS history. I'd also love to transfer my app data files (like photo editor stuff).

    Is this easy yet?

EDIT: I just ordered the G7

Fitness app / Step counter that doesn't rely on GPS

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 09:21 AM PDT

I got a sansumg phone and it came with Samsung Health, I never had an interest in using a fitness tracker , but activated it to try, well I liked the idea, but the app seems to really a lot on GPS and 4G data, and I go long times without them. so SHealth behaves weirdly and count's a lot more steps than I usually take

Is there a fitness app that does a good job without gps ?
