Just built my computer but it isn't starting Posted: 23 Jul 2019 06:30 PM PDT To be more clear, it turns on but my screen doesn't read the HDMI and it restarts every 30 seconds. I unplugged everything and re plugged the motherboard to the power supply and the screen still won't read and it still restarts. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
Can malware hide itself in an already downloaded app? Posted: 24 Jul 2019 12:13 AM PDT When checking for malware on phones people say to check apps or files and see if there's any you didn't download, it is possible that safe apps(apps that didn't contain malware when you downloaded them) you've downloaded can hide malware inside them so no suspicious apps or files would show up? I hope I worded this properly. [link] [comments]
Can I install a network card and use it if my motherboard already has one? Posted: 24 Jul 2019 03:12 AM PDT I recently found out that the connection on my motherboard does not support anything above 100/100. So I was planning on getting an external gigabit card for cheap without having to replace my whole motherboard. would this work, or is there something else I should know about? Edit: it's a gigabyte GA- F2A55M- S1 (according to what's written on it) but I can't seem to find anything about it. Edit#2: this is way too complicated.. there are a bunch of numbers and whatnot to look into and I haven't the slightest on what half of those even mean. [link] [comments]
Accidentally deleted audio driver. Unable to find replacement. Win10 32-bit Posted: 24 Jul 2019 02:38 AM PDT I'm in India, I have a cheap bullshit Windows tablet which is the only thing I could afford and it works for the most part. I was having some audio jitter issues on my computer after a complete Windows reset, so I intended to uninstall and then reinstall the audio driver. However, I absent-mindedly ticked the box saying "Delete driver files" when the uninstall dialog popped up. I am at fault, I was preoccupied and didn't realize what I was doing. So now, for the past 5 days I have been searching for driver files as Windows Update cannot find anything, and all the driver files I see are 64-bit when what I need is 32-bit drivers. I don't want to have to reinstall Windows again but it may be my only option, unless someone here can help me find a 32-bit audio driver for the hardware ID below: ACPI\VEN_8086&DEV_22A8 When it was working, it was listed as Intel SST Audio Device (WDM). To be clear: I have found drivers matching the hardware ID, but they are all 64-bit and do not work. I require 32-bit drivers. [link] [comments]
Microsoft told me to pay for support, so I came here. Posted: 23 Jul 2019 06:21 PM PDT So for the past two days I have been getting blue screened (critical_process_died). I have no idea how to fix it because for all of the fixes you must be able to be at your desktop, but my computer crashes as soon as I log in (not exaggeration it happens the second I log in) and all I can do is launch it in safe mode. I have no recovery points even though I did a few days ago I checked. I have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. [link] [comments]

Nothing Google working on my phone :( Posted: 24 Jul 2019 04:03 AM PDT As per title, my phone (LG V30+) all of a sudden just stopped syncing my multiple google accounts and everything I've done has not fixed it. I have cleared cache and data on play services and store. I cannot log in to any google app. Play Store says: "Authentication is required. You Need to sign in to you Google account" Account sync: "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly" I'm very dependent on Google so would like this fixed! - An easy way out could be a reset of the phone however I have google authenticator so would rather not go through the trouble of a reset :) [link] [comments]
I accidentally washed my AirPods... Posted: 24 Jul 2019 01:21 AM PDT They've been sitting in a ziplock full of rice for about 12 hours now. Any recommendations to get them working again? [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Jul 2019 01:47 AM PDT My friend and I are having similar issue recently, we play fortnite a game where ping is very crucial in its current meta. However lately we seem to be having bandwidth issues(?) where the second our family starts using the WiFi, streaming Netflix, YouTube etc. Our ping skyrockets sometimes into up to 1200 ping. EDIT: our computers are wired to our router too! Is there any fix to this? Is it simply a case of better internet wired into our houses or do we need to upgrade our routers (if so any recommendations) to withstand multiple devices? Any help is greatly appreciated! Note: we are currently using the latest routers our ISP provides when installing [link] [comments]
White Screen Issue while playing DOS2 DE Posted: 24 Jul 2019 01:32 AM PDT I'm at a loss. My Acer XF240H has been working fine and dandy for nearly three years until last weekend, while I was playing DOS2 DE with some mods. My screen turned pure white without warning, while my computer continued to register the monitor as active since the game sounds continued and my second monitor did not change to the primary screen. Now, every time the Acer monitor turns on after some time of being off (like when the computer has been shut down for a while, or when just the monitor itself is off for a bit), it runs completely normal for the whole of around 2-10 minutes until the white screen comes back. Of course since this is quite troublesome I've attempted some probable fixes:
Can anyone provide any insight on this? My absolute last resort is to send it back to Acer to get it repaired, and the three year warranty is still active so it seems like that would be the only way out at this point. I can't be the only person to have experienced this, right? [link] [comments]
What are some good applications I can carry on a flash drive for PC maintenance? Posted: 23 Jul 2019 10:58 PM PDT I'm a new student (age in the 40s cough) and back in school, aiming for plenty of CompTIA certs: A+, MCSE, Linux, etc. I'm just starting school (2 months in on a 24 month course) but have been fixing family/friends computers most of my adult life. Have always relied on AVG, Avast, Malwarebytes, CCleaner and RevoUninstaller. I've just downloaded ADWcleaner, RKill, and HitManPro after reading through the Wiki here. VERY GOOD STUFF! What else can I carry on my flash drive to better prepare me for working on computers? [link] [comments]
New Build - Restarts on Few Minutes of Game... GPU issue? Posted: 24 Jul 2019 12:51 AM PDT Hey everyone :) I just made this build for a friend of mine and for some reason this system would restart of ~5-10 minutes of gaming. Specs:
My guess: Temperature / Power / Drivers / Hardware What I have done so far:
I hope I have a lead and it's just a bad GPU. I am freaking out as I have previously build 5-6 low spec systems and never encountered any issue. This my first gaming build and it's not going as planned. I really need your help :( Edit1: more details of sitch The system sends no data to monitor and the system freezes (numlock not responding) for a while before I have to forcefully restart the system. I couldn't find a way to look at BIOS logs to look for thermal trips. Is there such a feature in B450M-A ? Edit2: updating drivers Downloaded and installed GPU Driver from the official source. The system still restarts after 1-2 min of FurMark GPU stress test. Seems motherboard BIOS was already flash to latest 1607 version so won't be flashing motherboard BIOS. Manually downloading and installing Asus motherboard driver from official website now. [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Jul 2019 04:32 AM PDT I wanted to start watching a series but it wouldn't load. I discoverd that you have to do prove that you're not a robot. I did it multiple times but at the end it kicks me out of the reCaptcha window and nothing happens. I'm using the Huawei P9 lite 2017 if it helps. I don't know if I'm just too stupid or what else should be wrong. [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Jul 2019 04:29 AM PDT I recently had to replace my AIO cooler, so had the motherboard out whilst doing so. Once I'd placed all the components back, I turned on my PC and everything seemed fine, other than when it first booted up, I had a black screen with a loading symbol at the bottom, before presenting me with the standard log-in screen. Then today, when I booted up, everything was fine but I decided to check that all the components were working incase i'd missed something, and it said that only 4GB of my 8GB RAM was working. So I reopened the case and noticed that 1 stick of RAM wasn't securely in place, so after refitting that, I assumed that everything would be solved. That's when I turned on the PC, and then after 10 seconds it shut itself down, then a few seconds later attempted to reboot again, then shut down after 10 seconds, in an endless loop. Does anyone have any suggestions on what this might be? Currently i've tried removing the RAM, blowing the slots and replacing them. [link] [comments]

Pc crashed, now it won‘t finish booting nor resetting Posted: 24 Jul 2019 04:24 AM PDT Yesterday night my pc crashed at exactly 0:00, it just froze, but my music was still playing. I tried to restart it, but when windows wants to jump from the turning dots to the password screen, it just freezes. Windows diagnostics found nothing, and I can't use a backup of the registry, since windows doesn't create them anymore(from what I read). I tried booting into windows safe-mode, that worked. When i tried to reset windows(while keeping my personal data) it just crashed at some point, same procedure the second time I tried it. When I tried to boot it from a different SSD with windows on it, it worked tho. My system specs: Windows 10 Intel core I7-4930K Nvidia Geforce GTX 780 ti (from Gigabyte) 2 x 1TB HDD 128 GB SSD Asrock x79 extreme4 16GB DDR3 RAM Every bit of help is appreciated :) [link] [comments]

Does the Asus Prime B450M-K mobo have an RGB header? Posted: 24 Jul 2019 04:21 AM PDT Just finished building a PC using the above mobo, and last thing to plug in is my fans which have RGB controll, however I'm not seeing an RBG header. If there isn't a header on this mobo is there an adaptor or something I can buy to use the RBG on the fans via a different power supply? [link] [comments]
Phone crashes while having multiple PH tabs open in Chrome. Posted: 24 Jul 2019 04:15 AM PDT First of all: this is not a troll post! When I am on this website (Pornhub, which nobody uses, right?) and opening some videos in a new tab after around 15 or 16 my phone's starts to freeze (In non incognito mode I have around 60 tabs open an somethimes 100 without any problem). After about 10 to 20 seconds it says that many apps has crashed / stoped including Home UI, Google Play Services,Device Management, Google App, Health Service and Weather (but I wonder why not Chrome?). At this point I can only turn the screen on and of and use the buttons to restart or shutdown the phone. I can swipe down the status bar but can't click on something. So I restart my phone and everything is fine as usual, but the PH tabs from the incognito mode are now in the "normal list" (probably because of the crash). Is there anyone out there with the same problem? My usecase: Galaxy S7 SmG930F (DBT) and Chrome 75.0 on Android 8.0 with latest patch (June2019). [link] [comments]
Computer, when doing heavy lifting, shuts down and then turns back on after about 3-4 minutes. Posted: 24 Jul 2019 04:12 AM PDT Work as an animator and video editor, but when I render the computer at times just instantly shutsdown. The same happens when playing some of the more intense videogames in my freetime. What happens is that the machine just switches off, and pressing the power-button does nothing. Eventually it will turn on by itself again. I've noted some temperature things, if that helps. And noticed that sometimes one of my cores reaches 83 degrees celcius, no clue if that's a lot yes or no. At times Core Temp also notes 90-95W being used for Power of the processor. Again, no idea what this means, but felt it was usefull information to post. Here are the parts: Corsair RM650x be quiet! Posted: 24 Jul 2019 04:08 AM PDT I have noticed an increase in ping lately when I look over the multiplayer menu.
