Posted: 24 Jul 2019 03:29 AM PDT Hey all, I hope someone here can help me out. I am looking for a note taking type app (that also has a desk top version) I use to use years back. It focused one a single page design where I could write something and then create a sub-folder type underneath. I wish I could explain this better. I really enjoyed this app and would like to find it again. any ideas? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Jul 2019 10:49 AM PDT I love trying out apps that are put out by passionate devs that care about their users. What are your favorites? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Jul 2019 08:00 AM PDT Im building a wallpaper app for KaiOS (not android I know, but the answer applies to both). I came across unsplash, pixabay, pexels etc. The problem is that according to them you cant use their images for wallpaper apps. Are there other sources out there? Or do I have to host my own collection somewhere? Dont think preloading is the right option. Any help is appreciated. [link] [comments] |

A nice simple list app (NOT a to-do list app) Posted: 24 Jul 2019 10:55 AM PDT I'm just looking for an app where I can make nice lists that aren't to-do lists. Google Keep I'm not a fan of because it's hard to keep organised and it looks all over the place. Anything with folders rather than tags, and a linear view rather than post-it view would be good. How much privacy does Bromite actually provide? Posted: 23 Jul 2019 04:03 PM PDT I know its the go to browser if you want pretty good privacy but to what extent does it actually provide? Are you a complete ghost online? Does it block ALL tracking? Can google still track you (personally?) [link] [comments] |
Just got my first Android device. What apps would you recommend? Posted: 23 Jul 2019 07:23 PM PDT Title. If it matters I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10. [link] [comments] |

Looking for reliable, modern SMB client Posted: 24 Jul 2019 05:23 AM PDT I know there are lot of file explorers with SMB functionality, but I need something bare bones, designed specifically for accessing shares and copying/moving files to and from them. Best with modern interface, not some gingerbread era crap. Not necessarily free, as long as it works/looks well [link] [comments] |
Music App That Let's You Hide... Posted: 24 Jul 2019 12:46 PM PDT First, love this sub. Second, sorry it took me this long to find y'all. Third, how are ya's? Also one more question… I'm using paid Black Player for music, and love it. I'll either directly navigate to Genres or my playlists when I open it. Now as customizable as it is, I've found with BP as well as other players, I don't have the option to hid either artists \ genres \ albums, etc. I only want this because in Genres I can't get rid of the podcast categories, only by editing the title and deleting everything, but it only stays that way until I download another PC. No doubt this is nitpicky and the like, but I'm still curious, is there an app player out there that allows you to hide or display categories \ directories that you choose? Thanks for the help! [Request] Fashion game for 5yo Posted: 24 Jul 2019 12:42 PM PDT Hi all, I hope you are well. I'm looking for a fashion game where you can select a model then swipe clothes or pick different clothes or styles, maybe different hair cuts or make up etc. It's for my 5yo daughter. We tried a couple but they either require you to constantly buy coins to continue playing or they have messaging things built in. I explained to my little girl why she can't play games where strangers can send her a message and although she understood she's gone to bed heart broken. If anyone has any recommendations I'd really appreciate it, I don't mind if it's a paid app, preferably without in app purchases but I can block those anyway. She's running an amazon fire tablet kids edition tablet if that matters. Thanks, apologies if this is the wrong sub/request format. [link] [comments] |
[DEV] In this year I created my first two apps (4Breathe, Alarm&More) - free promoCodes Posted: 24 Jul 2019 12:36 PM PDT Hi In this year, I created and published my first two apps in Google Play, and today I present first time here. I will continue to develop and improve them so if you have suggestions, write comment ;) Alarm&More - nice alarm clock, dreams diary and stats - task list, reminders (own, repeatable or eg daily about bedtime) - motivations with quotes, articles about sleep every 2 weeks "Do you know.."? and more.. 4Breathe - focus on breathing with two modes (customizable) - relaxing sounds - helps eg in de-stressing or falling asleep (auto off app if you fall asleep) I'd like for you to check it out and tell me what you think. If you like any of my apps, please send me a PM (write which app you like) so I send you PROMO CODE (remove ads and unlock pro) Have a good day [link] [comments] |

Posted: 24 Jul 2019 12:00 PM PDT My son recently installed a "Game Booster" type app from the Play store on my Daughter's phone. I think it was this one. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.pamobile.gamelauncher&hl=en_US&showAllReviews=true I noticed it when I saw bogus warning notifications pop up like "Your device's memory is almost full". And I don't know if this is a coincidence, but her Roblox account was also compromised during the time that this app was on the phone, which was only a few days. Very suspicious. Amazingly this app has 1M+ installs, 31k reviews, and over 4 stars. My son said: "It was one of the top apps in the store, and had good reviews, so I thought it was safe". I can't really blame him for thinking that, it seems logical, even though I know it's not true. Or the infamous Clean Master app shows 1B+ installs, 44M reviews and almost 5 stars! How does this kind of crap get so many installs and such high ratings? Are there really that many clueless users out there? This really makes me distrust Google's app screening and the Play Store rating system. Frankly I think I have to admit that Apple devices and ecosystem are probably safer for kids and non-technical users than Android. I'm just kinda venting here, but I would be curious to hear any other thoughts on the subject. [link] [comments] |
Mixplorer. Is it free (or was it)? Posted: 24 Jul 2019 11:59 AM PDT Just setting up a new phone and trying to install Mixplorer (which I had on my old one) but it seems that there's only Mixplorer Silver on the Play Store. I'm pretty sure if I'd had to have paid for it before I would have but there doesn't seem to be an option to restore purchase. Or, has it just become paid only? [link] [comments] |
Looking for notification reminders by location Posted: 24 Jul 2019 11:23 AM PDT I would like to setup a grocery list that would pop up when I go to a store of my choosing. Any apps that would fit that description? [link] [comments] |
Call filtering (not call blocking) apps? Posted: 24 Jul 2019 11:01 AM PDT I'm trying to find any free apps (I'll consider paying if the price and quality is good) that allow call filtering. Most apps that I'm finding are call blocking which now days is almost useless because those mainly rely on a database to compare numbers against. Todays spammers are literally spoofing random numbers so the chances of the block list blocking the call isn't that good since the number likely hasn't been added to the block list yet. What I'd like to be able to do is filter the calls to where I can only allow certain area codes and numbers in my contact list to get through and send all other calls to voicemail. Does anyone know of and can reccomend an app that can do this? [link] [comments] |
Are there apps (root or not) that allow you to listen to local FM radio? Posted: 24 Jul 2019 03:28 AM PDT I'm getting a 🅱ixel soon, and it doesnt seem to have FM radio. I've heard of Spirit FM and NextRadio but they only work on LG, Samsung, HTC and Blu phones. Is there no conceivable way to tune into local FM radio from a Pixel? [link] [comments] |
