| Posted: 01 May 2019 07:17 PM PDT I got the 6t two weeks ago to replace my 3t as a daily driver. Back on the 3t tonight, after the new phone completely died. This morning, it slipped out of my hand and dropped to the ground, but it was in a case, and after I picked it up, everything looked okay. No apparent physical damage, and the phone worked just fine for the next several hours. Tonight, I was using the phone when it froze and wouldn't respond. Pressed the power button, and since then no combination of button presses, holds, charging, computer connection, etc has lit up the screen. Is it possible something inside shook loose from the drop? I can be somewhat clumsy, and I've dropped the 3t a number of times, but it still works fairly well, just a bit funky from the years of use. I'm going to put in a warranty request, but I'm wondering what to expect. [link] [comments]  | ||

| oneplus 3 notification noise without the notifications Posted: 01 May 2019 08:16 PM PDT I have the OnePlus 3, I get the notification noises when I don't actually have any. It usually occurs just after I lock the screen. When I do try to unlock my phone It does a little flash of just my background showing then back to the regular screen with the time, date etc. If anyone has experienced this and has a solution or tips it would be wonderful. | OnePlus 3T - how can a program know if Gaming Mode is active Posted: 01 May 2019 01:01 PM PDT There is one program, that brings Android down when starts updating data in background - it downloads updates from a number of services, maybe it uses hidden Chrome or something, but the phone becomes VERY laggish. Sadly there is no, at least not on 3T, a setting in gamign mode to prevent some non-game applications from acctivating on schedule... I have to switch to that app, then to open task switcher again and kill the loading application by swiping it off, then to switch back to game. It takes about 2 seconds and costs *dearly* in online games. Then, i have also realize what happenned and why sudden lags (it can be due to slow internet or graphics, it is not immediately obvious). So, I want that application to cease activating and pdating when OnePlus 3T Gaming Mode is on - but would i ask it - the app developer would just ask me "what do you mean by Gaming Mode? i do not have it on MY phone" Hence, the question. Is there some documentation on gamign mode program-wise? How can a 3rd party app know if gaming mode is right now active or not, on OnePlus 3T and later phones? P.S. i know i can get a bunch of 3rd-party gaming mode utilities from Android PlayMarket, and then disable OnePlus one. But maybe i can still use a built-in one. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Track metadata not showing in car Posted: 01 May 2019 12:24 PM PDT Hi, I got the oneplus 6t when it was first released and ever since I have not been able to get the metadata of any song/podcast to display. I use Spotify for songs and pocket casts for podcasts. I had the 3t before this and it used to show whatever the video name was if I was on a website and a video was playing or on YouTube, now, nada. I have searched for answers and I tried to change the Bluetooth AVRCP version to everyone one available (in between changes I forgot the connection from the phone in the car and car in the phone, also a reboot). I am not sure where to go next. Also a side question while I'm here, on Spotify, the volume likes to fluctuate without me doing anything and it is very annoying. | Switching output during call on 6T Posted: 01 May 2019 12:14 PM PDT I have owned a 6T since release day 1 (yay Verizon compatibility!), and it is me favorite piece of electronics ever! (knock on wood)... It does have a weird issue when I am on a call. I will turn speakerphone on, and it will switch speakerphone off, or I will have it on speakerphone and it will switch to either my Bluetooth speaker or my smartwatch. Posted: 01 May 2019 10:51 AM PDT My OP6 (8gb/128gb) seems to randomly get briefly laggy and have jerky scrolling sometimes. Seems related to my getting the most recent update of Oxygen OS 9.0.5. It's random but happens semi frequently. Like I go to scroll through the Google Feed and as I swipe, for maybe a second it's laggy and jerky. Further scrolling is totally fine and smooth as normal. I have never noticed this behavior before and it seems to happen all across the phone. Anyone else see this? It's really bugging me... [link] [comments]  | ||

When I'm home I'm connected to my wifi and when i leave the house i obviously turn the wifi off. When i turn my wifi off my data doesn't work for like 5 minutes. No matter what i try, turn the data on and off, turn the wifi on and off, only thing that fixes this is restarting the phone, which i obviously don't wanna do every single morning I'm going to work. The weird part about this is the bars say full coverage and 4g is available, the phone just doesn't use it for some reason. Has anyone experienced this? I've only seen issues of people not connecting to WiFi which i haven't experienced. [link] [comments]  | ||

However I sort of forgot how to go about flashing updates, especially when updating to a newer OS version. I'm pretty sure I have the dumpling codeworkx version of TWRP, but from what I recall, that recovery might not work for Pie. Is that wrong? I looked into this update on XDA but I find their forums to be a mess and there are some mixed feedback on their instructions. Any advice? Is the Pie update even worth it? [link] [comments]  | ||

I'll be using China Mobile or Telecom in China and probably Verizon in the U.S. Does anyone know which 6 or 6T will be compatible with CM/CT and Verizon in ability to call AND to have 4G? My OP3 is currently in LineageOS 15.1 and I want to update to the Open Pie beta that OnePlus recently released. What steps would I have to go through to do this? I have read that Bootloader needs to be locked back again but I do not know how to accomplish that. I have twrp as the recovery and rooted with magisk. Any help will be very appreciated. | Audio Tuner is useless, but shouldn't be! Posted: 01 May 2019 04:56 AM PDT So to enable audio Tuner, you need to select from a number of 'audio enhancements' before you can use the EQ. If an enhancement isnt selected the EQ cannot be used. I've got a pair of IEMs that I've used for years, and won't replace them. So if all the audio enhancements make them sound like ASS I can't make minor EQ tweaks? This felt like an oversight for a feature that would actually be pretty useful, if 'audio enhancements' could be disabled. [link] [comments]  |
