    Samsung Mobile has been Acquired by Apple Inc. - Megathread

    Hey r/Samsung,

    It's with great sadness and sorrow that we announce Samsung Mobile has been acquired by Apple.

    After the failure of Samsung's latest flagship, the S10, and due to the high production costs and low demand for the Galaxy Fold, the company has lost its high share value, causing Apple Inc to buy those shares and effectively take over the Samsung Mobile devision by force.

    We have reflected the new announcement by updating our banner to represent the future of Samsung. We believe in the future, and we truly believe Apple will bring a lot to the table.

    Apple is at the forefront of innovation. They always strive to do better, and this will really improve the quality of Samsung smartphones going forward.

    Please keep all discussion about this dramatic happening here. All current Samsung Smartphones will be receiving iOS 12.2 later today.

    Samsung Galaxy Buds... exceeded my expectations!

    Since I got my S10 Plus I've been thinking of getting the Galaxy Buds but looking at reviews, some positive, some negative and coming from wearing an over ear pair of AKG -K550's (also amazing) at work all day I didn't expect much sound wise and merely wanted the wireless capability. I was ready to take the hit to sound quality for the freedom but my god... these things sound amazing.

    After some playing around with the wingtips and ear bud tips to find the best fitting and seal I pressed play on 'Deutschland' and was blown away with how clear it was on the default setting. Good bass without needing the bass boost. The other settings... not so good but that 'Dynamic' setting works beautifully. Find the right combo of wing and tip and boom.

    Setting the long press to Google Assistant also lets me perform actions on the phone or call without needing to take my phone out.

    Overall, super impressed and glad I didnt put the purchase off even longer. For anyone on the fence... get off it.

    Anyone else got any tips or enjoying them?

    How well does it work? Is it easy to setup? Also is there any repercussions for using it? I'm switching from iPhone today and just wanted to know because someone told me to try AirMessage I just never heard anything about it before.

    Hello not sure if this is the right place to ask but just this morning i woke up and found my charger easily sliding out of my port. So i tried to put it back in and it doesnt latch on like before. I have to push hard just to have it actually make it charge then lay it on its side so it doesnt slip out.

    What happend? What should i do?

    does upgrading with odin remove knox enrollment

    Galaxy Buds vs Bundled Earbuds

    So I just got my S10e, and of course tried the earbuds out, which sound the same if not a tiny bit better than the ones that came with my S8. I wanted to buy the Galaxy Buds for the wireless capabilities, adaptive sound and so on, but if they sound the same, I see no point in purchasing. So to anyone that has the Galaxy Buds, are they any better? Or just wireless AKG buds?

    Galaxy Buds Questions

    Hey owners of the Galaxy buds! I owned the gear Icon X 2018 edition and I had some questions about the latest model.

    Laptop Pairing:

    Do the galaxy buds connect to a laptop now? I frequently use a laptop and having my buds accessible on the laptop is a must. I was extremely disappointed to find out I couldn't do this with the Icon

    Connectivity:

    Do the galaxy buds disconnect from the phone frequently? I often had this issue with the Icon with my phone being in my pocket.

    Charging Case:

    Do the buds charges correctly when put into the case? My icon after being sent for replacement 3 times didn't charge correctly and I often had to take them out and back in to even get them to work.

    Sound:

    Do the buds get softer with the more use, I had an issue where my icon where collecting everything in my ears and making it rather soft. I heard there was metal mesh in the buds to stop this.

    Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) Android Pie update

    So my phone just pushed the update for Pie and I'm still not loving it.. apart from the distracting huge header when opening messages, alarm, settings, etc.. I noticed my phone got a bit laggy. I have 4gb of ram and on Oreo it ran so smooth and quickly it was a godsend coming from the first version of the A7. Now it feels like it just stutters when opening menus and navigating. Is my phone really capable of handling this new version? Will they still release further updates or is there just a way for me to rollback?
