Posted: 04 Apr 2019 02:22 AM PDT For starters, I use an Acer Predator 15 with an Intel Core i7, 16GB Ram and a 970M graphics card (let me know if you require any further info). The laptop is not that old (2 and a half years) and has no performance issues when it comes to running the applications that actually open. I bought it as a used laptop from a friend who was not facing this issue before selling it to me. Some apps show up in the taskbar, I can hear the music, and the program is supposedly running according to Task Manager. I have tried looking for various solutions, including reinstalling the applications, restarting the laptop, I even factory reset it. Nothing has helped so far. The graphics card driver is up to date and based on troubleshooting there are no present issues. The only thing that has temporarily helped was plugging my laptop to an external monitor via HDMI which caused the application to show up on the second screen and then switching back to the primary screen. Please help if you have any clue of a possible solution . | Posted: 04 Apr 2019 01:52 AM PDT Hello, I have a HDD (2TB) that is starting to have bad sectors so I bought a new one as an upgrade (4TB). My OS (Win10) is installed on my SSD, but I have a folder called Program Files 2 on my first HDD since my SSD is rather small (120GB). I have tried following the top google result which advises me to use a program called EaseUS Todo Backup Free. But when I follow this tutorial the program errors out. Screenshot So my question is the following, can't I just copy all my directories from one drive to another and change the drive letter to the one of the original HDD, or would that not work? When I connect it to my PC (Win10) it shows up on the device manager under Disk drives as Seagate Slim SCSI Disk Device. But under events it says device not migrated. The light doesn't show up and it doesn't work on a Mac either. Please Help.... Should I open it and change the sata to usb board? I have extra one that I took out from another drive which I'm using now as an internal one... but that will void my warranty. Sometimes I can get the graphics adapter to work by disabling/enabling it, but when I try the same with display both adapters stop working. | Posted: 04 Apr 2019 03:50 AM PDT Hi guys. So I finished building my new PC last night, everything is working fine apart from 2 small issues that I'm a bit lost with. First of all, this: https://imgur.com/a/qaBudFL (it's only got so many lines as I got frustrated and spammed my keyboard) The confusing thing about this is that I figured it was an issue with boot priority, as I have 3 HDDS connected (2 ssd and 1 normal). So I went into my BIOS settings and made sure that the SSD with my OS on was the first boot priority and that seemed to fix it..... until I reset the PC. This basically comes up every time, although if I load up into the bios my primary SSD is still the top boot priority so it's not like the settings are resetting. Doing this makes the PC start up and work absolutely fine? The only thing I can think is that its linked to issue no 2 which is... New SSD isn't being recognised by BIOS or pc in general. I've tried going into device manager and seeing if the drive hasn't been allocated a letter, but it's not in there at all. My 2 old hdds are recognised and work fine. I figured it could just be the SATA port, so I changed them around and still nothing. I'm going to try a new SATA cable this evening as it could be that but does anyone have any suggestions? I can't find anything on the web regarding this and I am a bit clueless at the moment. Experienced Bug: I get WIFI issues when playing music / videos on my mac that is connected to my Bose QC 35. There is no problem when they are just connected. The problem starts as soon as I start a song/video. Then suddenly ( it's like I lost my WIFI connection. (I tried playing music without the headphones connected as well and it works) More technical details: Bose QC 35 Firmware latest as today (2019-04-04) => Should be 2.5.5 Mac book pro Mojave 10.14.1 The error happened from one day to another. There was no update or anything in between the WIFI is working while I am listening to music and the WIFI is not working when playing music on the headphones. | same .exe missing every time on PC startup Posted: 04 Apr 2019 03:14 AM PDT Happened twice in 2 days, so every time I shut down at night and turn on in the morning my .exe file for a game is missing. All the files are there except the .exe one. After the 1st time it happened I copied the .exe file, this morning happened again but I could not paste it in the folder, it says " I dont have the permission" ,but it has the little shield administrator icon when it askes me if I want to paste it when I click "continue". | Posted: 04 Apr 2019 03:12 AM PDT Guys, i have a problem, i had an HDD as a secondary drive in my old computer, however, i built a new machine and it's not just not showing up, i went to disk management and it's there, the only options i have is creating a new volume but that will lead to the data being lost in the drive, and i don't want that, i have all my childhood memories there, Anything i can do? also, this drive is bitlocker protected, just felt like throwing that in there, and yes i know the password. | Posted: 04 Apr 2019 03:07 AM PDT I have a pretty severe issue. A while back (~1 month ago) My laptop started to function poorly. If you as much as bumped into the table it's sitting on, it'd crash showing a BSOD. Eventually (after I backed up all the data), it started to get worse (shaking the PC slightly would cause the screen to freak and glitch out). Now, it boots past the initial windows logo, then it BSOD's showing the error: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED What failed: Ntfs.sys I have peeked inside, but nothing is loose or dislodged. It's also worth mentioning that I've tried to boot from a USB using Microsoft's Media creation tool, but that didn't work. It'd just go back to BSOD. I need some help with how to set up excel to organize data that was input into a table from a userform, the file is attached. Sheets 1 & 3 are the ones I am using. I need to take the data entered on the first sheet and organize it into its revenue type. However, I have no idea how to have a macro add the row, then organize the data into it. My second question involve the calculation that needs to be done. The calculation is done from the install date to the cutoff date. Some months will be full, some won't. I finally downloaded an antivirus (malware bytes) and got rid of it. But during that time I wanted to just reset my PC but it seems that I can't. The button to reset the PC seems to be unresponsive, it doesn't do anything after I click on it. Most days I average around 20-40gb and there have been a few days every month that the number shoots up to 90 or 100gb for a single day, most are days I spend no time at home.
