Posted: 27 Feb 2019 08:15 AM PST So, I was just astonished at how laughably big the difference was between regular camera that comes out of the box & Gcam, because I rarely used the regular camera app & felt like sharing this difference. If your device has a port of Gcam, I think it's well worth the effort to unlock the bootloader & enable camera2api. [link] [comments]

Mi 9 shutter speed and lack of OIS Posted: 27 Feb 2019 02:23 PM PST I'm having some doubts regarding the mi 9 vs mix 3. For me , the camera is the most important aspect of smartphone , so I would like to know if Mi 9 can shoot great low light pics like the mix and mi 8 , both of them having OIS. And what is the longest shutter speed ? Cannot find anywhere. Thanks for the answers! [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 06:19 PM PST Has anyone got a fix for bad battery drain after the Pie update? Leaving the phone unused for about 8hrs shows a 30-50% drop in battery. The phone has become quite unusable because of this. What should I do to rollback to Oreo? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 09:15 AM PST So, I am a little bit confused about the Note 7. It says that it is coming out on the 28th February, but on the other hand I see some global versions of the phone on aliexpress. So I want to buy a global version of the note 7 but I don't know if the phone is out. I see that there is like a pro version of the phone, what is the difference? and will it have a global version. thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 03:01 PM PST I know it has the fingerprint scanner but does it have tap to wake? I love the feature where I can simply check notifications without unlocking the phone. Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 07:27 PM PST I'm currently experiencing an issue where devices keep disconnecting and reconnecting to my hotspot and recieve no data while im able to use the mobile data on the phone. I'm about to factory reset and i'd rather come a solution before doing that. [link] [comments]
Are the xiaomi batteries on AE genuine or replicas? Posted: 27 Feb 2019 01:04 PM PST Most have the MI logo but the prices are suspiciously low. Is there a vendor that sells actual OEM parts? [link] [comments]
Does the Mi Band 3 have Bluetooth connection issues with Huawei Phones? Posted: 27 Feb 2019 06:54 PM PST I gave to a friend a MI Band 3 and when we met a few after a few days he told me that his Huawei P20pro had Bluetooth connection issues. When he closes the app the phone stops all the background actions. We tried to give all the permission that were available but the problem is still there. Does anyone know if it is a problem of the Mi Band 3 or if it is a Huawei problem? [link] [comments]
Xiaomi Mi A1 Pie wifi issue still hasn't Been fixed Posted: 27 Feb 2019 02:19 PM PST We had this bug as soon as Android Pie came out at the 23 of December and the issues that people have with wifi and mobile network still hasn't been fixed, for how long do we need to wait for them to fix such an important issue?.. Posted: 27 Feb 2019 11:38 AM PST So as I often browse this subreddit, I notice that many people are really satisfied with their experience with Gcam and that it's possible to enable camera2 without losing OTA updates. I am a total newb to this, and I checked the most active thread on xda about it, and as far as I can see in the latest comments on that thread, people are still having problems with the installation/enabling camera2, such as getting their devices in a bootlop or just losing OTA. I want to hear some experience from people that have actually done it and haven't lost OTA or bootlooped their device. Which guide did you use, and do you think I should go for it? Mi 9 Chinese version or Global version Posted: 27 Feb 2019 10:29 AM PST I'm going to buy this phone, but I don't know which is better.. I want the Chinese version for the 27W charger and it won't have some apps of Google that I won't use BUT I'm not sure if I'll be able to change the ROM I've read if I install global version in Chinese version (or vice versa) it will be bricked. Perhaps global version is better than Chinese version but in Mexico we don't have that connection so we need to put an adapter and I think it reduces battery charge. I don't know if xiaomi.eu will be released and if I'll be able to install in any phone version [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 12:31 PM PST Hi all, is there a Xiaomi version of the Philips wakeup light (HF3531/01)? All that crops up during my searches is the Yeelight - is this it? [link] [comments]
Thinking about getting Xiaomi MI 8 from S7 edge Posted: 27 Feb 2019 04:01 PM PST Thinking about going with the Xiaomi Mi 8 from an s7 edge, supposedly there are two processors for the s7 edge and I lost the chip lottery (laggy typing, camera, snapchat, messenger, maps applications, etc.) I'm trying to find a phone that works smoothly with those apps, works with ATT 4G LTE in Michigan, notch or as bezel less as possible, good battery, for less than 400 dollars. I am willing to mod it to get the phone as nice as possible, replacing the rom, What can you guys recommend as far as ROMS and setups for this phone or perhaps a phone better suited for me? Posted: 27 Feb 2019 10:08 AM PST So I am very interested in purchasing this phone, but I have read several different things about the release date. My first question,is it coming to us? Second,if it's not will I be able to use the UK version? Last, when is the actual release date for it? [link] [comments]
Should i cancel my Mi a2 order? (Issues, bugs) Posted: 27 Feb 2019 10:07 AM PST I looked at a lot of reviews and all of them say its a great phone. And it is. Great camera, great soc, great speaker, good display, good battery life. Well thats what i atleast heard from reviews and well i ordered the phone. And then i found this subreddit. From bugs, major issues to bricking this is kinda scary. Should i get the phone? If yes on which update patch does it ship in and to what update can i update it to without having bugs. Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Experience (PIE) Posted: 27 Feb 2019 09:54 AM PST Hey guys! About 3 weeks ago i bought a Mi A2 Lite, the mobile itself feels really good, nice screen, respsonsive, fast etc.., but to be honest im really not happy with the software (PIE). Here are couple of things i dont like about it: - Volume control is a joke, you literally cannot lower ring volume silently. (Got me into a bad situation during a lecture) - My Xiaomi Bluetooth headset is pretty much unusable with it, there is terrible audio stutter for some reason. - Auto brightness function actually feels laggy. - No one handed mode? Really? - No split screen mode either. There are many positive stuff besides these negatives but im just sharing this so maybe some of you guys can relate and help me fix these issues. My previous phone is a Xiaomi Redmi 4x and i kinda feel like Pie was a downgrade from MIUI 10. [link] [comments]

Pocophone F1 (have hesitation because of screen issues) or wait for Redmi Note 7 Pro? Posted: 27 Feb 2019 07:58 AM PST Hello. I will buy either of these phones. I know that F1 is better, it has better processor, better build quality etc (Redmi Note 7 seems to have a better design but I learned that it is plastic and can be broken much more easily compared to poco). But the only thing that fears me is the lcd screen bleeding problem of Pocophone that I have been reading on Internet and its subreddit. It seems like it is not a rare thing. Is it fixed in later productions? Edit: There is also a touch sensivity problem that I have heard of poco [link] [comments]

Questions about flashing a MIUI update (having read the wiki) Posted: 27 Feb 2019 10:04 AM PST Hi, I have a Xiaomi Mi 8 on the Three UK network. Currently it uses MIUI 9.6.6.0, and there is no sign of Three releasing the update to MIUI 10 any time soon. Am I right in thinking that once I unlock the bootloader as per the instructions in the wiki, I should be able to download MIUI 10 from Xiaomi and upgrade it myself? Will doing that wipe my phone or will it just update the OS? Any other potential problems or issues I should know about? TIA [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 10:02 AM PST I recently purchased a Redmi note 6 pro from Xiaomi global store on AliExpress and it's yet to arrive. Would I be able to not accept the package when it arrives because I wanna wait for the note 7 pro? Would that send it back to merchant and get my money back ? [link] [comments] |
