Radio streaming app that shows artist playing on chromecast? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 06:23 AM PST Hello, I'm looking for a radio app where i can tune in to a radio station, cast it to my screen and that shows the artist and track title that is currently playing. For example, I'm currently using the "Radio Belgium" app that has all the radio stations i need, but when i cast it to my tv it only shows the logo of the radio station, but in the app i can see the artist and track name. I'm looking for a way to cast this information to my tv as well... thanks in advance... [link] [comments] |
[DEV] This app would have helped /u/Chessfriend90 get the date Posted: 30 Nov 2018 03:47 AM PST Yesterday i saw /u/Chessfriend90 post in AndroidQuestions describing the following predicament
He hasn't posted again so I don't know if he managed to get the number again, but it made me curious whether reception is necessary to log the number... it's not. I made a little proof of concept app that just logs called numbers and thought I'd share it. So just in case you meet someone cute on the subway and try to save their number via phone dialer, and it doesn't work, then you better hope you have this app ;). TL;DR This app saves the phone numbers that calls have been made to, independent of whether an actual call connection was established. [link] [comments] |
Email app which allows preview of smtp headers? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 10:17 AM PST Any recommendations for an imap client/app which permits previewing headers before opening the mail item (i.e. before connecting to links in mail content)? Good folder management would be nice too. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Are there any alternative YouTube apps that are fully featured? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 05:57 AM PST Newpipe has playback speed control, but no way to view subscriptions chronologically. Skytube has no playback speed control, but allows you to view subscriptions. Same for Webtube. Videodeck for some reason doesn't respect the playback control speed setting on mobile but does on desktop. Is there any alternative app that allows background play, chronological subs and playback speed control? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Nov 2018 03:36 AM PST Is there any app that I could import my bookmarks (in html) that would let me open my bookmark in another browser. Currently I'm using Brave which doesn't have a sync function or let me import my bookmarks like Kiwi does. While Kiwi is great but there some little annoyances like the touch being off by a few mm & no push notifications. [link] [comments] |
Official android Reddit app comment sort.. Posted: 30 Nov 2018 06:43 AM PST Hey, looking for a way to ensure when I go into a thread/post the new comments aren't bundled at the top.. i like to start with old and work down to new. It's like reading a story from the ending to beginning. Is there a setting I'm missing? The default sort under settings sorts by new posts in subreddits rather than hot etc.... [link] [comments] |
I need a smartwatch app that I might need to develop myself Posted: 30 Nov 2018 11:43 AM PST I have done Android development before so this might not be too hard. I need an app for boyfriend who has the habit of picking on the skin of his fingers with his nails. He simply scratches his fingers really hard until the skin comes off then bites the skin off or it falls off on it's own. This habit has caused him to not have the top layer of skin on this thumb. It gets painful sometimes and he does it more when stressed. I need his new smartwatch to detect the scratching gesture and vibrate, indicating him to stop. I am unsure how to make the watch detect that particular behavior. Any pointers? He is using a Garmin Fenix smartwatch [link] [comments] |
How do I block YouTube ads using Blokada? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 03:36 AM PST Basically the title, I was wondering if there was a way to block YouTube ads and stop them from showing up. [link] [comments] |

[TitaniumBackup] Switching UI language is broken since Android Oreo. Posted: 30 Nov 2018 07:45 AM PST Has anyone ever tried to switch the language in Titanium Backup on an Android 8+ phone? Seems that this doesn't work anymore. I tried to switch from German (default system language) to English, but it stays German even after the restart. [link] [comments] |

[DEV] Flight manager: Boarding pass wallet Posted: 29 Nov 2018 09:10 PM PST I've been working on this app that would be a boarding pass wallet. It's meant to scan PDF or image files and import your boarding pass automatically (you can also "share" your PDF that you get in your emails to the app to import it) It will allow you to clearly display any boarding pass (increased brightness). Also, it will give you a sticky notification when your flight is approaching with Terminal and gates informations if available. This is usefull if you're bothered to:- Search in your emails/downloads for the right PDF (pdf names are usually confusing and lost between all your downloaded files..)- Finding the QR code in it- Zooming on the QR code manually- Increasing brightness if the scan doesn't work. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, as I'm in the early stages of the app, any bugs or improvement idea would be really useful! [link] [comments] |
What is the best "gesture" app for Android ? (Pie like gesture) Posted: 29 Nov 2018 02:54 PM PST Hey! Can you recommend me the "best" gesture app, that give me the same new feature that Android Pie has? Thx in advance. [link] [comments] |
Continual Google Messages for Web notification that it's connected to web. Posted: 29 Nov 2018 06:53 PM PST I've been using Google Messages for a while and love it. Started using Messages for web a few months ago, and everything was 100% perfect. Now, unfortunately for the last month or so, I am getting continal notifications on my phone (Galaxy S9 with latest updates) that say "Connected to Messages for web on a computer". I believe this would happen once, when I signed in from windows for the first time that day. Now they happen as often as every 30 seconds, sometimes its every few minutes. Either way, it is completely maddening. The only way to end it is to log out of MFW on the computer. I haven't changed anything on my computer or the phone. Is anyone else having this problem? Anyone know of a replacement for Dumpster? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 12:46 PM PST I've been using Dumpster for a long time now & I really do like it, except for the ads which seem to get worse all the time. I went to upgrade to pro awhile back and saw that it is a subscription price, not a one time price, unless I wanted to pay $125 bucks, which is ridiculous. I don't mind paying for pro versions to support the Dev's, but seriously? anyway, does anyone know of a good alternative? It's an app that I really like using and has saved me a few times... Posted: 29 Nov 2018 03:40 PM PST Need to find a new app for podcasts. Really hate the new update for Pocket Casts. They made the usability and functionality a lot worse for queuing up podcasts. Instead of just hitting the plus sign for each episode now you've gotta swipe it one way and then click add to play last. No way to revert back. I can't stand it so I'm looking for a new app. [link] [comments] |
