Despite witnessing a lot of backlash in this sub I think OnePlus 6T will still be a great phone for it's price

White bar on YouTube videos with Android 9.0

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 02:21 PM PDT

When I go to full screen mode after the new update, sometimes the notch area is filled in by a white bar. I need to close YouTube then open it back up to remove it. Any fix for this?

Has there been a rollback build for 3/T?

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 04:54 PM PDT

So when OB39 rolled out, we were told it was the last Open Beta and that OP would be providing a stable build for us to flash back onto. I've had a quick look on the forum but I don't seem to be able to find it - am I just being bad at searching?

    Cheers!

My paranoid journey with trying to maintain battery life.

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 11:07 AM PDT

Don't be me, it's not healthy...

OK so I got the OP6 some time ago. I wanted to keep the battery in as healthy if a state as I could so I try to maintain a charge between 40% and 80%. I am a pretty heavy user but I am never far from power so this was not difficult for me. I love dash charging, I think it's the best thing since penicillin (which btw, was invented the same year as sliced bread).

What I started noticing though was that my charge port was starting to get some noticeable wear and tear. Since this has never happened with any of my other oneplus phones I got a little concerned. Was my constant plugging and unplugging putting too much mileage on my phone physically speaking? Was my battery life really worth the hassle of this or am I just being paranoid?

Well I might have found a solution that wouldn't let my neurotism continue but instead I found a "solution." Some companies make a magnetic little dongle that is designed to continuously stay in your charge port and is connected by a magnetic cable. It was something like the old power cable macs used to have. The cable would hold on to the dongle magnetically, give my phone a charge and if jerked too hard the cable would just detach and my phone wouldn't go flying into the ground or my charge port wouldn't get unnecessarily banged up.

In the end though dash charging doesn't work with this system and so I gave that up. But I think I am happier.

TL;DR: Don't become too obsessed with material things or the things you own will start to own you. Also, trying to your phone in its best possible condition involves a lot of work and might not be worth it.

Enable VoLTE on AT&T with OP6

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 09:05 AM PDT

    1. Open the dialer and dial "*#800#
    2. Hit "Enter"
    3. oneplus Logkit
    4. Function Switch
    5. "VoLTE switch" -> "reboot"

You should have VoLTE on AT&T (you'll see the VoLTE icon in the status bar, if you didn't hide it); the menu option will show up under SIM & Network -> "AT&T" just like it does with a T-Mobile SIM. Don't bother with VoWifi, as that won't work on AT&T. I use T-Mobile, but have been thinking of going back to AT&T. I tested this with a friend's AT&T SIM card yesterday and I can confirm that it works.

    Oneplus 3 screen coming off

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 03:59 AM PDT

The top left corner of the screen has been lifting away from the phone for a while however now the entire top edge of the screen comes away from the main section of the phone. Is there a way to fix this without going to a repair place and getting a whole new screen?

    6t/6 charge

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 07:45 PM PDT

I'm looking at geting the 6t when released; however, do you have to use the dash charge? I just put in USB walloutlets in my house to avoid having to use PSU's. Also, the closest outlet to my bed is like 6 feet away so I buy long cables. Is there alternatives? Will my phone still charge quickly or am I going to have to spend like a hundred bucks on additional hardware

    edit: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Legrand-Radiant-15-Amp-Tamper-Resistant-Outlet-3-1-USB-White/50253183 something like this?

    Lowest ring/notification volume SUPER loud - OP6 Oxygen 5.1.11

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 07:14 PM PDT

Hi everyone, so I just noticed my ringer/notifications volume slider doesn't seem to actually affect the volume of my notifications. I have it set to the lowest setting and notifications still sound like they are set to 75% or more. Like it's still ludicrously loud even at the minimum setting.

I did search and saw many other people have this issue as well, but I didn't see any solutions. Does anybody have a fix or a workaround?

Curious if OP has made any statements or posts at all about Pie on OP5/5t. Not demanding anything, Oreo works quite fine, I was just curious is all.

Anyone having ringtone issues with their OP6?

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 02:18 PM PDT

Recently whenever I get a call on my OP6 running stable Android P, the first time the phone rings its a very choppy, distorted sound of the stock ringtone. It then continues to ring as normal.

Was trying to see if anyone else was having a similar issue and/or if there's a fix.

    Thanks!

    Snapchat does not function

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 04:42 AM PDT

I got the one plus 3t still and it runs every app really smoothly... Except for snapchat. My phone goes full potato mode right when I start using it. Does anyone else have this problem?

    A6000 OR A6003

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 04:17 PM PDT

Hi, I'm trying to get the 256gb op6 in Ireland. I found a small shop that sell all kinds of gadgets and phones form China with really good customer feedback. How can I tell the op6 im about to buy is the A6003 international version that has the extra bands?

Is it in the model number on the box or the about section in the settings what should I look for? Thank you.

OP6 Major Memory Leak [OxygenOS 9.0 : STABLE]

    Posted: 30 Sep 2018 11:14 PM PDT

I recently upgraded to Android 9.0 stable. Was running smoothly with no problems whatsoever. This morning the phone got so slow, and when I opened Running Services, the system was using 7.5 GB RAM. I was unable to even take a screenshot on the device because of lack of memory (Hence the low quality pic). Anyone else experienced the issue?

    Student Discount through Amazon?

    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 09:45 AM PDT

Does anyone know if the student discount works on OnePlus phones on Amazon as well through their customer support somehow, or is it only available through their main site? I'm considering getting the 6t, but I don't wanna risk losing my student discount on the 6 if I decide to get the 6 instead after reading the reviews on the 6t... :/

Bluetooth problems with OP5T and car stereos. Many bug reports submitted. I've been having issues since June or earlier on any build - stable or beta.
