To Mi 5 owners who are getting awful battery life (2-3h SOT) Posted: 02 Aug 2018 06:00 PM PDT It probably seems really obvious, but this is the improvement in battery I got when I replaced the battery. If you're having really poor battery life then doing this is the best way to improve it. It's double the battery life for €10:) [link] [comments]
I am facing GPS issues with my Redmi Note 3 Pro Posted: 02 Aug 2018 09:33 PM PDT Hello everyone! I am facing GPS issues with my Redmi note 3 Pro. I live in Ludhiana, India but GPS location switches between Ludhiana and Yokohama-shi, Japan. It happens infrequently but is quite annoying. I am on MIUI Global Stable v9.5.3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments]

I am selling my Mi Mix 2 and replacing it with a Redmi Note 5. Am I being stupid? Posted: 02 Aug 2018 03:14 AM PDT So I am about to take a very risky leap. I had the Mi Max 2 before the Mi Mix 2 and I just don't like this phone. Proximity sensor is crap, front camera is crap, back camera is not really an improvement over my Mi Max 2, the battery is ok-ish, screen is small for media, not great all in all. I waited for the Mi Max 3, but that turned out to be a bigger Redmi Note 5. So here is what I'm thinking. I will sell my Mi Mix 2, buy the Redmi Note 5, get a better camera (will I?), get a better battery, have a normal front camera, have a better proximity sensor, get a headphone jack. I will also buy a Mi Pad 4, since all my media consumption and gaming is happening at home. So I will have a more pocketable device for all my phone and camera needs and a tablet for everything else. Am I crazy? Is this the right move? edit: turns out I am crazy, I just bought the Mi A2 [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Aug 2018 07:55 PM PDT So i have been looking over both these phones available in my country(israel) and i was wondering which is best since they are really close in price for 4g/64gb models. Im looking to replace my tiny 16gb iphone SE and its been a long time since ive had android. From what i see the mi a2 lite an older processor but a simpler interface and the Redmi not 5 is stronger with 636snapdragon, but a complicated interface? Apart from the processor, what are the big differences? Will i need to be a leet haxor to use the redmo bote 5? I use my phone for Fb, instagram, twitter, surfing, youtube. Not into games that much. Price wise i can buy the redmi note 5 here in country for same as on aliexpress almost. The A2 lite is a tiny bit more in country. Thanks, inb4 my first reddit post, im a 4chan guy. Mi Notebook Pro charging produces electricity flow on the top of the laptop. Posted: 02 Aug 2018 01:33 PM PDT Hello, I have just received my Mi Notebook Pro yesterday and am very happy with it. However, while charging it for the first time (haven't charged it since) I noticed that the top of the laptop has a light electricity flow, which feels like a vibration, but only when you slide your hand over it. If you just put the tip of your finger on it and remain static, you won't feel anything. This applies to the sides of the laptop where the screen is attached, so basically the screen chassis and it definitely happens only while charging. It's not a heavy electricity and it does not damage you but I was wondering if it's normal or it is something unusual and defective about my laptop. Sorry, if this is something obv and stupid I have not owned a laptop before. [link] [comments]
Tired of playing cat and mouse with SafetyNet Posted: 02 Aug 2018 07:17 PM PDT I use Google Pay / banking apps a lot, and Magisk Hide has been acting up recently so it got me feeling like I should just flash back to MIUI, but I'm not sure how "stock" I need to go to in order to totally not require Magisk. Will an unlocked bootloader + Xiaomi.eu rom pass all checks without Magisk? Or is official rom + locked bootloader the only way? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Aug 2018 06:59 PM PDT Are you guys ok with the fact that most Xiaomi's mainstream products copy Apple directly? Doesn't it feel kind of dirty to you? [link] [comments]

Best leather flip Case for the Redmi Note 5? Posted: 02 Aug 2018 02:59 PM PDT Wondering what you guys have tried and what you like the best. Wanting it to have a couple card slots in it so I can throw my debit card and ID in there. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Aug 2018 10:34 AM PDT I own redmi note 4 (snapdragon 625), a really good phone for the money with amazing battery life but i want something better. The camera isn't something special especially in low light conditions and the snapdragon 625 is super battery efficient but not very powerful. So i was thinking about upgrading and the 2 phones that got my attention are the mi note 3 and the mi a2. I love the metal and glass constraction of the mi note 3 but i also want that clean android look of the mi a2. So it depends which phone has the best camera and the best battery life. Can you help me ? THANKS [link] [comments]

Mi Electric Scooter unavailable on Amazon Posted: 02 Aug 2018 02:07 PM PDT The link to buy on Amazon from Xiaomi's homepage (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076KKX4BC) is now dead. Any ideas why? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Aug 2018 01:42 PM PDT Hi guys. Today I received my smartband Mi band 3 and was wondering if this have some control with Spotify like play/stop music, forward music and some like this. I tried some 3rd apps but none of them seems to work well. I saw that mi band 2 has more compatibility with Spotify than the new one. Could anyone tell me if there is some way to make it work? Kind regards. [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Aug 2018 09:16 AM PDT What's the best option for buying a Mi Pad 4 in Canada? The "Canadian" portion of the Xiaomi website only seems to point at wholesaler options, and I've heard buying off Ali Express is a little risky. Thanks [link] [comments] |
