| Someone familiar with Secret Video Recorder HD app? Posted: 29 Jun 2018 05:55 PM PDT The Secret Video Recorder HD is an app that can be downloaded straight from the Google Playstore. As its name suggests, it records videos secretly even when the phone is locked. The phone I'm talking specifically about is a Samsung S6 Edge. Now, I'm really not sure so let me ask: When it records, does it encrypt the videos (to remain hidden in the File Manager similar to what Applock apps do to hide images)? I cannot find it out myself yet, as you may guess I'm not very familiar with Android OS. I haven't tried the app itself yet. The reason for this is because my girlfriend and I just found out she is being recorded by her brother-in-law. My girlfriend lives under the same roof with her sister (17 years older than my gf; wife of said brother-in-law) because of uni. She let it slide for like 2 times when she starts to notice the way the phone was left in a conveniently placed fashion to record her. Who knows when it all started? But this time last night, she finally check the phone. What a f*cking pig. She has the phone as of now. She brought it in uni, and won't be going home until we find all the hidden record videos. I also asked the developers already thru email the same question about the encryption thing. If this is not the right sub to post this to, please redirect me to another sub that can help me most. Thank you! EDIT: She said she can't open the phone due to another app called Family Locator - GPS Tracking. The first time I reset it I restored a lot of my info, but it still didn't work. The second time I simply logged in to gmail to get my contacts. The camera worked for about 10 minutes before failing again. Now not only can I not use my camera or any applications that need it, the flashlight won't work because it's being "used by the camera" Any ideas to make this last until the note 9? | Recover photos/messages from LG G5? Posted: 29 Jun 2018 10:06 PM PDT Hi, I'm from Canada and have the H831 model from Fideo. My G5 recently stopped turning on (the screen turned on to say it was fully charged, but the power button would not turn it on). So I was unable to back up my files before I sent it to Fido for repair. They factory reset it and now I've lost all my photos and text messages. I should have backed them up, I know, but I didn't have the foresight to do so. Does anyone know of a way to recover them? I've looked into it a bit and it seems I can use diskdigger to do it but I would need to root my device apparently. I have no idea how to do so (if it's even possible on this model) and if that would void my warranty? [link] [comments]  |

| Files dissapearing from SD Card. Posted: 29 Jun 2018 02:00 PM PDT I have a S7 Edge. I have tried transferring files from my PC to the SD card and from PC to internal memory and then to the SD Card. Each time the files take up the space intended on the SD card, but don't appear and, upon restart, the size is back to normal as well. I've also tried downloading the file straight from my phone to the SD card, where it appears but just deletes itself completely upon restarting the phone. My internal memory is nowhere near enough to have the files on it and I have over 10gb of free space on the SD card. Any help? [link] [comments]  |

I've had this happen before on this tablet or another (I can't remember which). I got passed it by simply letting the battery die, then letting it charge and restarting it. However, I am worried that it will not work this time, as there may be some kind mortality "limit" for these devices. I am wondering if certain devices will simply die after five years or so. | Not getting push notifications. Posted: 29 Jun 2018 01:11 PM PDT Hi all, I've been having this issue for a while now. My Essential PH-1 phone only shows Snapchat, SMS, and Gmail notifications on the top bar. All other apps get a vibration noise leaving me to guess which app is notifying me. I've checked numerous times if any apps were blocked from notifications and only the ones I actually did were blocked, leaving me to question why all the unblocked apps aren't showing up. | Posted: 29 Jun 2018 06:52 PM PDT As the title states, I've got a problem with the att Samsung s5 which is that the bottom microphone is broken. This particular device has two microphones, one on the bottom that it uses as default and one on the top that it uses whole on speakerphone and such. The bottom microphone is broken and things like Google assistant and other apps seem to only use the bottom on as default. I can get around it during phone calls by using the speaker mode which uses the top microphone but that is not only on obnoxious to me but also to those around. Plus that doesn't seem like an option on Google Assistant. Do you know of any way to force it to only use the speaker microphone on the top via software? I'd be willing to root if you think that is necessary. [link] [comments]  |

However when I go into recovery mode all I get is a red exclamation mark rounded sign. I've tried pressing both buttons but nothing seems to bring up any menu in recovery. | Posted: 29 Jun 2018 06:17 AM PDT For a while now Ive been using Mixplorer as my file browser app on the recommendations of people saying stuff to the effect of "it's the best" on forums talking about such apps. I previously used an app called 7zipper which was a greeaat "every feature you could ask for" file browser, but it has problems on newer tablets so I had to say "farewell bro it's been good!" so I tried 1 or 2 others, such as X-Plore before I came to Mixplorer but I prefer the interface and flow of Mix and it's so far the best all rounder, BUT, it's missing some key features (or I just can't find them due to lack of explanation or its hidden in the GUI) that were present in the old 7zipper app: 1= How do we save locations (directories) as favourites? I don't want to have to repeatedly go through the same click click clickety click to get to the 3 directories I use extremely often, I just want to open the "faves" panel and go "click" and I'm there, job done! There IS a faves panel, yet for the life of me, I can't see any way to ADD a directory to it... 2= While trying to figure out the answer to question 1, I messed something up so now I have empty partitions called "title" repeated about 4 times in the faves panel and I can't remove them, neither can I put anything in them... So far the almost unheard of 7zipper is still better than Mixplorer due to the extra features and functionality, but again, newer tablets e.g. the Fire HD10 don't seem to like these older apps.
