[DEV] Jarme (Short for Jar memories)! A diary app to store all your precious memories. Posted: 30 Jun 2018 04:19 AM PDT Hey guys, Me and my husband have released a diary app on play store called Jarme (short for jar memories). Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bdgeeks.jarme What we have in the app now:
What we are planning to add in the future:
The story behind Jarme: So me and husband have been married for nearly 2 years now but before we got married we were in a long distance relationship for 6 years. I lived in UK and studied Biomedical science, he lived in Italy and studied computer engineering. He came visited me 4/5 days each month, sometimes more sometimes less. Within those days we used to do a lot like movies, jog, dinner, sports etc etc. On our 5 year anniversary he went to London to visit me and I didn't feel like doing anything special this time, instead I ordered a mason Jar from Ebay and decided we will have a romantic dinner together and write down each of our memories in notes and put them inside the jar. While we were doing that, we realised we remember a lot of memories but we don't remember when it happened. Either I forgot a few small details or he did and it made me feel really sad. Him coming to visit me was really really special to me and I looked forward to the date he was arriving the whole month. My whole life was planned and wrapped around him but how did I forget something I did with the love of my life. Thats when I installed a few diaries to keep a track of our day to day life. Although apps like diaro or journey do have lot of features and stability, I just felt like I needed something bright & colorful, something that I would look at and be instantly happy. So I started designing a diary app myself and he coded it and thats where the name also came from. [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app that'll allow me to selectively censor photos. Posted: 30 Jun 2018 06:30 AM PDT I used to use iOS and had an app that allows me to zoom in on areas and selectively blur multiple things. Example, I work in the aviation industry. My company does not mind me taking photos, but we need to blur the tail numbers on the plane. I need the app to do things like that. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Good gallery app with folder based view & show all pictures feature? Posted: 30 Jun 2018 06:52 AM PDT Maybe like quickpic (folder based) but has the "All" category that shows every photo sorted chronologically or alphabetically. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jun 2018 08:02 AM PDT Did Flud Torrent stop developing it? The last update says September 2017. Is there any alternative? Not that I have any problem running Flud but just wanted to know what's up. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jun 2018 11:08 AM PDT There doesn't seem to be a way to store a list of favorite apps on the play store. I.e. For apps I rarelty use, may or may not be installed right now, but I want to remember. I recently was trying to remember/find an app I liked a whole back. Trying to dig through 'library' is ridiculous. Does this functionality exist in the play store? Is there a nice app that easily allows me to add/remove/install to a list of apps? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jun 2018 01:44 AM PDT As the title says, I'm looking for an app that I can share my "To Do List" or "Things To Do" to my SO since we're in a LDR. If there is an app where we can both enter/edit items on the list. And also with features like planner, daily logs etc. something like that. :) [link] [comments] |
Favorite apps/apps that you "can't live without"?? Posted: 30 Jun 2018 08:00 AM PDT I would have to say (breaking it down by category): SMS/MMS= Textra Message/chat= Discord/Allo Video= Duo Game= Monument Valley 1+2 Email= Inbox Music= Phonograph "Tools"= Tasker/FX File Explorer/PassKeep Weather= Weather Timeline [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Jun 2018 01:49 PM PDT Recently my phone started popping up some strange caller ID thing when I got a call. It has an annoying advertisement at the bottom. I clicked on the information for the popup and there is no identifiying information for the company other than a mysterious [whosthat.dialer@gmail.com](mailto:whosthat.dialer@gmail.com). Did some research and apparently it's spyware installed by none other than NQ Vault. I uninstalled the application and confirmed it goes away. Need more proof: https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/8ng2wr/updatepsa_unauthorized_data_skimming_du/ Okay the news gets worse folks. Try to go to the NQ.com website and you will be redirected to http://en.lkmotion.com/ This means the company was either purchased or hacked and now all of your "private" information is out. Screen recorder that records internal sound? Posted: 30 Jun 2018 05:32 AM PDT Any and every app I download only allows to record microphone sound due to "google doesn't allow internal sound recording for now". How do I bypass this stupid limitation? [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app to analyze storage for bad sectors Posted: 29 Jun 2018 02:30 PM PDT Concerned the storage on my OnePlus 3 might be failing and want to find an app that will analyze all sectors (or whatever the equivalent is on Android) for bad entries. Searching through Google Play Store generates a lot of disk utilities but most are for usage and not testing of actual storage memory. Any suggestions appreciated. [link] [comments] |

Apps for tracking client appointments with reminders and any other handy features Posted: 29 Jun 2018 02:37 PM PDT Life is gonna get busier soon, I'm a volunteer counsellor and I'm getting more and more clients, in different towns and I want to ensure I keep track of this. I could use Google calendar I suppose but it's already busy with reminders and I'd prefer something with local storage for privacy sake. Any good apps anyone knows of for self employed people keeping track of their days? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jun 2018 06:16 AM PDT As usually when reply its automatically quote the message you reply to inside your message and no option to disable quote to the message you are replying to, and only option for you is to manually delete it, why there's no app that handles emails on Android that don't include the message you reply on your message or at least have option to disable quote original message ? and it's doesn't matter if the app free or paid as I've tried many and can't find the feature that I am looking for.... Offline map with more pronounced/colored side roads? Posted: 29 Jun 2018 09:29 PM PDT I do a lot of long drives in the middle of nowhere for hobbies that my SO and I have (geocaching, hiking, off-roading, etc), and we make travelling about the journey rather than the destination. Highways are boring. We much prefer to navigate through dirt/side/residential roads and interesting detours. I usually plan a general route to follow and memorize landmarks and main roads ahead of time, but mostly navigate on the fly following the general direction with a compass and glances at a map on my phone for reference. Now the problem is that I'm colorblind, so I already have trouble with some default map colors and I haven't found an app that allows you to change them. Plus, most map apps have side roads much smaller and lighter than main roads so it's difficult to see the whole area and see the side roads clearly. Google maps is a good example of this - if you're zoomed out then side roads are off-white and less visible. So what I'm looking for is an app that has more distinguished side roads, or allows you to make them more pronounced - through color, size, whatever. Added points for topography and satellite views. Since we do a lot of driving in desolate areas then an offline map is probably necessary too. Anyone have any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
Block Instagram ads on non rooted devices? Posted: 30 Jun 2018 04:46 AM PDT I've tried AdClear, no luck the option to block Insta ads is greyed out. I've tried Blokada no luck, still seeing sponsored bullshit. [link] [comments] |
The new G-tos NFC, QR and bar code scanner app Posted: 29 Jun 2018 07:48 PM PDT Hello, We recently launched our new app called G-tos. G-tos is an NFC tag reader and QR and bar code scanner. We are developing it to be the ultimate NFC, QR code and bar-code app, that does everything the end-user would need from such a utility app. The app gives the user a button to copy, share, open web links in their browser or other apps, call, or save data from their scan. We loaded this app with features that user needed, but other apps were lacking. The app is great to go as MVP. More awesome new features would be added in upcoming updates. Please, download, share, review, comment, and most important give us feedback. Thanks [link] [comments] |

Calorie Counter with Time of Day Info Posted: 29 Jun 2018 02:37 PM PDT I am amazed that I am having such a hard time finding this. There dozens of calorie counting apps out there. I cannot find one, which not only tracks the calories which you eat but it also tracks the time in which you put in this info or has the ability to allow you to put in the time you ate the food. I am seeing a weight specialist and her first question is to track the times of days that I am eating things. This makes sense. Does anyone know of a calorie counter which does this? Ideally, I would like to be able to export the data out as a report for my doctor. [link] [comments] |
Educational app that gives you notifications? Posted: 29 Jun 2018 07:19 PM PDT I'm looking for any educational app that gives you 1 notification per day. The notification should be a quick sentence that teaches you something such as a new word, life hack or theory. Does anyone know of any app that does this? I just installed a bunch but none really have this option. Curiosity app allows for notifications but they're from huge articles which i don't want to read. Thanks :) [link] [comments] |
