Then the second I tried to take a picture with the stock camera it suddenly won't write to the SD card anymore. Yes all the permissions for the stock camera are enabled and the SD card is still functioning fine I can write other files to it. I'm at a loss here what could have changed [link] [comments]  |

| Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 not accepting the correct pattern password nor my fingerprint, am I boned? Posted: 30 Jun 2018 08:39 PM PDT Long story short I woke up this morning and my phone no longer accepts my pattern password. I know for a fact that it is correct as I use this pattern passcode on multiple devices. I'm completely locked out of my device. I called Google support and Xiaomi and both are just pointing fingers at eachother being completely unhelpful. I would usually just factory reset but I have data on my phone that I cannot bear to part with (namely pictures of my cat who has since passed as well as a number of other memories). I really cannot delete these via a factory reset. I'm running Android 6.0 and using the default pattern lock screen. I'm unsure if lag is causing my continuous strokes to appear as taps and am currently trying to input the passcode via adb or enable a mouse cursor on my device to verify. . The good: -USB debugging/developer options is enabled and I have been able to establish an adb connection/input commands. The bad: -The phone is not bootloader unlocked/rooted. -I do not have access to certain permissions and get "permission denied" messages when running certain commands. -Google voice is not responding despite being enabled. -Fingerprint reader is not responding. . Is there any hope of me being able to recover my data/bypass my lock screen? [link] [comments]  |
| Information and help about magisk and snapchat Posted: 30 Jun 2018 03:28 PM PDT First- sorry if I'm doing the things wrong, but this is my first time using reddit, so, if I did something wrong, just explain me where I f'ed up. And second- my problem. I use LineageOS on Galaxy S5. The rom is 7.1.2. I rooted it with SuperSU, because I need some basic things, but when I wanted to use snapchat- fail, because of the root. I read some online guides and stuff and everybody is explaining how the things work with magisk, which I have never used. So I need some information and help from somebody with experience. First- do I need to remove SuperSU to be able to use magisk, will there be any conflicts between them, because I still don't get the full idea of magisk? Second (in case that I receive the info about the first question)- do I need something beside magisk to skip the safetynet check, because I've read that there are modules? Third- in case that I have to remove supersu and move to magisk- will the other programs that use root be able to operate normally with it? Thanks in advance [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 30 Jun 2018 12:05 PM PDT This issue started a few weeks ago. Anytime I highlight text I've typed (like in a text or email), the app i'm using crashes and needs to restart. I thought it must be an issue with Gboard, because it happens regardless of what app i'm using and the keyboard is the common denominator, but I downloaded swiftkey and confirmed it's doing the same thing. Interestingly it is intermittent in swift key, but nearly every time with gboard. I've confirmed this happens in the following apps: Textra, Android messages, outlook, gmail, gchat, chrome, google. I've done several restarts as well as full power down. I removed updates from gboard and tried it again, issue persists. This is probably the most aggravating issue i've ever encountered in my 10+ years of using android, and it's driving me nuts. Please help! [link] [comments]  |

| Automate/tasker App help with setting up a flow Posted: 30 Jun 2018 02:05 PM PDT So, I've got a Fitbit Versa. Turns out it can't work out when I'm driving so Fitbit have an app that you start and stop as and when you get in and out a vehicle. I'm in and out of my van numerous times a day so I'm thinking would be cool to make my phone start the app when it joins Bluetooth and stops when I come out of Bluetooth. So it needs open the app and start it and then stop it. I'm sure tasker or automate can do it but I've got no idea how to do. Can anyone help me at all? [link] [comments]  |

None of my streaming apps are working (stitcher, Pandora, Spotify), CoC started working again but every time I open it, it's full of notifications from 12 hours ago. Everything is very slow too. I downloaded Bitdefender and did a scan - no viruses. I went into safe mode, didn't see anything unusual. I've rebooted a dozen times. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]  |

When G7 came out I was dissapointed by the notch. When V35 came out I was so hype, its literally what I want. | Micro SD card being ejected out of the phone Posted: 30 Jun 2018 05:19 PM PDT I was trying to put the only Micro SD card in my house into my phone and doesn't matter how hard i try pushing the Micro SD card in the phone it keeps getting out. The Micro SD card works just fine on my laptop and on my secondary phone. The Micro SD card's manufacturer is "ADATA" and has 16GB of memory, i could connect it to the phone about one year ago but it keeps getting pushed out of the phone. (My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 (SM-G357FZ) running Android 4.4.4 (i know, it's old) ). Thanks for reading and have a nice day/night. I saw 2 tablets on gearbest that had great spec's for the price. ~140-200$ USD for 4 gigs of RAM, 64 gigs of storge, and a latest gen atom prosseser (if you booted the Android side since they duel boot into windows to) regardless I'm looking for other suggestions to. | Updated to Android 8.0 now openvpn won't pass traffic Posted: 30 Jun 2018 04:53 PM PDT I run my own openvpn server that my phone uses, worked fine for 2 years until now after I updated to Android 8.0. The client connects fine but most things on the phone that use data simply can't connect. If I set it to always on and block connection not on VPN then nothing works. Disable VPN and everything works fine. Was on Android 7.0 no problems. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  |
