But I'm looking for a app where I can also add tasks for a specific week like some tasks that have to be done anytime within this week and I can see those tasks in weekly view. (or month if thats possible too) Can anyone suggest me this kind of tasks manager app?

Can anyone suggest an alternative Facebook app that is not a battery drain buy doesn't look like a web wrapper?

    Posted: 01 May 2018 05:18 AM PDT

    I hate Facebook.

But I unfortunately need it for work and what not.

The official app works and looks very good but I have googled some alternatives and they all seem to be web wrappers that don't function or look as good as the official app.

Can anyone recommend an app that would do what I am looking for.

    Thanks.

Looking for a counting app for doing things X times a day

    Posted: 01 May 2018 12:19 PM PDT

For example, drinking 8 glasses of water in a day, or taking medication 3 times per day.

Ideally it would have a persistent notification that displays how many times are left in that day.

An app that functions as a music player and has a pitch variation function?

    Posted: 01 May 2018 12:05 PM PDT

Hi, I'm looking for a music player app that can play my mp3 library and allow me to change the pitch of the song that's being played in real-time. My old LG G3's built-in music player had such a function but I've transitioned to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the music player only has a change tempo option. hence I'm hoping that such an app is available. Thank you so much!

Looking for an app that automatically blocks spam calls

    Posted: 01 May 2018 11:48 AM PDT

I got a new phone about a month ago, and I routinely get 3+ spam calls a day. I block the numbers every time, but they just keep calling with different numbers in different states. Is there a free app without a ton of ads that will automatically filter out spam calls and prevent them from leaving voicemails? Thanks

    Has Minuum/Whirscape quit?

    Posted: 01 May 2018 11:38 AM PDT

I wonder if the company behind Minuum silently quit the market?
Both their apps have last been updated over a year ago, and the support link on their website for Android is dead.
It would be most unfortunate, have there been any news regarding this?
    Thanks

    Quick image/photo editor

    Posted: 01 May 2018 04:19 AM PDT

I'm looking for a small photo editor that will let me share to it, make some adjustments and then share back out. I think I want to replicate the Samsung editor, since I don't seem to be able to install it (tried several apk files).

It should be able to draw on the image as well as crop. Pretty much like the whatsapp editor, but you don't get that if you send picture via Facebook or whatever.

It looked like the Samsung one could overlay an image onto an image, which would be pretty great too.

Edit: so after looking some more... It seems Photo Editor by dev.macgyver does everything I want! Share to it, draw, crop, overlay images or text, share back out. App found! Would recommend.

    [GMAIL] Thread-specific notifications?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 08:15 PM PDT

In the iOS mail app, you can subscribe to notifications for a specific email thread. Does anyone know of a way to do this using gmail on desktop/android? I'd settle for a third party app/webservice that can ping me with its own notification or text message.

Music Player that has the same shuffle function as PowerAmp

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 07:34 PM PDT

    Hey guys,

Was wondering if anyone can suggest a music player that has the same shuffle options as PowerAmp? Most music players (excluding poweramp) if you search for a song and select it and have shuffle mode on, it only shuffles between the tracks that were in the search results and not automatically shuffling your whole library. After the searched song finishes, I have to go to my Song library and select shuffle all.

[DEV] Texpert 7.0 Released With Lots Of Improvements (Promo Codes Inside)

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 01:54 PM PDT

Hello everyone, Texpert 7.0 is official and with it come lots of awesome improvements and features! There have been a number of updates to this app and I feel that it is really maturing, so a lot of work has gone into making the app more efficient and smarter about how it handles data. Here are some of the headlining changes:

    • App setup process has been improved with a theme setup that takes place while messages sync in the background
    • The attachment bottom sheet has been rewritten to be a lot more efficient also has many bugs fixed
    • The app now uses ViewModels which essentially means data is loaded a lot faster and retained so it isn't reloaded all the time
    • Long pressing the send button or the attachment button present a new menu which allows adding a subject or sending a quick reply (this makes quick replies 100 times more useful)
    • There are now article previews for links that are sent so you can get a better view of what someone sent you
    • Conversation search now supports regex to make searching a lot more useful and helpful

So these are just some of the headlining changes, there are many more which have come recently and I still have a to-do list with more to come! That being said, I always love new ideas so if y'all have any cool ideas for features or improvements please let me kno.

Also as I said, I am really trying to fix as many bugs as possible so if you spot a bug please let me know by email (nick@nicknackdevelopment.com) or at /r/Texpert Thank You!

Finally, here are the promotion codes. Please make sure that when you use a code you also mark it as used.

    Thanks again!

To-do or time-management apps that "reward" you for doing tasks or accomplishing goals with in-"game" points or items? (Like Habitica/HabitRPG or Forest)

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 06:37 PM PDT

I used to use Habitica (formerly HabitRPG) and it didn't work for me at first because I didn't set reasonable goals, but I went back to it recently and it's been pretty useful. When you complete tasks, you get experience to level up your character and gold to buy new gear for your avatar.

A friend told me about Forest, where you can only grow trees by not touching your phone. If you grow more trees, you expand your forest.

Are there other apps like this? Plain old to-do-lists and habit trackers are easy for me to ignore, but I like being able to earn stuff, even if (or maybe especially if?) the stuff is meaningless pixels on my phone screen.

Edit: I found EpicWin for Android and tried it, but the interface doesn't suit me and I think Habitica is much cleaner-looking and more comprehensive. EpicWin has fewer options.

As suggested in the comments, myPoli is another option. It has more options for creating to-dos and recurring tasks than EpicWin, comparable to Habitica. You have a pet to feed and level up. Some basic functions like sub-checklists or adding a note to your tasks require coins to buy (although you get coins from doing tasks), and they expire after a month so you have to rebuy them. There don't seem to be new items you can earn; you can buy clothes for your pet with gems bought with real-life money, though.

Bounty Tasker is only for iOS now, but an Android version is slated for June 2018. This seems extremely similar to Habitica, with a lot of options and different armor/gear to purchase for your avatar. It looks even better than Habitica because I think the avatars in Habitica are too small to show much detail on the gear/items, but Habitica does have a big range of items and I'm not sure how Bounty Tasker compares.
