[Request] Mobile 4x game like civilization

    Posted: 30 May 2018 10:03 AM PDT

I played Star Traders 4x and the attacking system is honestly way too much. It just didn't do it for me. Are there any other good 4x games out there?

Crusaders of Light vs. Toram vs. Others

    Posted: 30 May 2018 07:47 PM PDT

I know that MMOs are mentioned occasionally on this sub. Anyone have an opinion on Crusaders vs. Toram? I'm looking for long term playability, not too pay to win, etc.

I've been playing Crusaders and like it quite a bit so far and will probably play a few characters to max over time. Haven't really played Toram at all.

If anyone has other MMOs they like please lemme know so I can check them out too. Thanks!

    Best Offline Android Games

    Posted: 30 May 2018 08:28 AM PDT

    Hello,

I am looking for some games that don't require a data connection. I'd prefer them to be paid games or really well developed. I don't want pay to win games.

I have a controller that I can snap my phone into, so on screen controls are not really an issue. I have a decent amount of ram, and it games well so that's not really an issue either.

I wish the play store had a category for this. I've looked for some Reddit threads but could find any recent ones. Any websites I found with these lists weren't very helpful.

    Any suggestions would be great!

    Thanks!

Lookonh for a game to scratch that engine building itch

    Posted: 30 May 2018 09:57 PM PDT

I used to be into board games and I find myself missing the kind of game about making an optimal system. Preferably one with open ended paths and a set of challenges that make the design have to be different every time. I've also had this itch scratched by certain RPGs where you have to respect your party in interesting ways in between levels either by design or due to difficulty. Any suggestions?

    Seeking alternatives to CATS

    Posted: 30 May 2018 11:03 AM PDT

I really like the gameplay style of CATS but I feel like their implementation was pretty weak. Does anyone else know if similar battle simulation games where you build and modify a fighter that goes against other user created creations.

[Request]Any games like Sid Meier's Simgolf?

    Posted: 30 May 2018 08:07 AM PDT

Weird request, but I used to love this game on PC 10 or 15 years ago and I was wondering if there was anything similar on Android these days.

[REQUEST] Looking for a good Diablo/Torchlight like game with controller support.

    Posted: 30 May 2018 06:24 AM PDT

Preferably something open world. With a lot of character building and customization. I've been playing dungeon quest, and enjoying it. Just wondering if there is anything else that can be played with touch control as well as a Bluetooth controller.

Looking for a decent gacha/arpg/rpg game

    Posted: 30 May 2018 02:11 PM PDT

Something along the lines of idle heroes, tap heroes, pocket knights. I'm mostly f2p so i want a fair gacha system like the mentioned games. I'm welling to spend a few bucks of the game is worth my time. I recently tried DHC and it felt bland and unfinished. So preferably a game with a good player base and a active developer. Things om not interested in: summoners wars, anything final fantasy or marvel/disney/...

    Thanks in advance!

Worms 4 - Android vs iOS gameplay possible?

    Posted: 30 May 2018 01:43 PM PDT

Does anyone know if Worms 4 would let my buddies and I play across Android/iOS?

And if it would also allow 'turn based' games, so we don't have to play live each time (as we're in very different time zones)?

    Thanks :)

Any other fairly simple idle gacha games like Guardian Hunter Super Brawl RPG?

    Posted: 30 May 2018 11:58 AM PDT

I've been playing Guardian Hunter Super Brawl RPG for over 2 years now, on and off. It's really one of the only idle gacha games I find myself constantly returning to every couple months. They've been a lot more generous with rewards, heroes, and items since I started replaying again about 2 months ago.

My biggest issue with most gacha games is that they have too many systems and are overwhelming... hero combining, food items necessary for increasing hero xp, runes, equipment, daily loot wheels. Guardian Hunter has some of these systems, but they're just deep enough to keep me engaged, long-term, without being overwhelming and requiring an hour+ of constant interaction everyday to get the most out of.

I also like Guardian Hunter because it's isometric 3D, so it's entertaining to see my heroes fight in full 3D and it's neat to get new guardians and watch their ultimate attacks fill the screen and destroy enemies.

Before they're mentioned, Summoner's War didn't really pique my interest (super low rates) and Monster Super League kind of overwhelmed me with it's systems.

So yeah, idle gacha recommendations are appreciated, and if you're looking for a good gacha game and haven't tried Guardian Hunter, it's worth checking out (no, i'm not a dev nor work for the company, just like the game a lot and would enjoy having another game to cycle back and forth between).

Stay away from Jurassic world alive

    Posted: 30 May 2018 07:19 AM PDT

    Link for those interested: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ludia.jw2&hl=en_US

Here's a quick rundown of the game.

    • You dart monsters to get card pieces and you create/level up dinos using them.
    • VIP system that is $10 a month for longer duration darting the dinos and can from further away, plus other benefits.
    • The hot new craze of PVP to get a timed cache and 4 slots for said caches.
    • Can buy incubators which are loot boxes that give card pieces and resources.
    • It's a blatant movie tie in (You can watch the trailer in the news tab, the NPCs are all movie characters) so I don't see this having any longevity.

So yeah, no reason to leave your couch if you shell out tons of cash. Horribly blatantly pay to win, and obviously a Pokemon go rip off.

All in all, it's a collect-a-card turn-based arena game with an option to pay gas money to get card pieces.
