Posted: 28 Apr 2018 01:40 AM PDT Traded in my iphone for an s9, loving it so far but I cant find any kind of reading mode. The iphone had a small button to the left of the browser that would change an entire website to plain text and it made reading enjoyable and easy. Ive been looking and googling but cant find if the s9 has a function like this at all... the s8 did via drop down menu, but i cant find that on the s9. Halp! [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Apr 2018 06:42 AM PDT I was able to pick up an open box model and Best Buy. I've been really pleased with it, especially coming from a non-4K 50 inch screen. I've only noticed two problems so far: 1) when the scene is dim, I notice a lot of pixelation and blotchy dark colors. For instance, while playing a 4K demo video of downtown Chicago, the lit up buildings and streets look crisp while the cloudy sky is blotchy and pixelated. 2) there is vertical banding that is only apparent when there is one solid color on the screen. Has anyone experienced these issues or know what is causing them? [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Apr 2018 05:50 PM PDT Hey, I've got an unlocked Note 8. Recently it's been showing ads like its got some sort of malware, but I turned on developer mode and didn't see anything weird. I didn't install anything too weird either. Any tips to help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Spotify error on New Samsung smart tv Posted: 27 Apr 2018 08:01 PM PDT Hi all, having an issue with my new tv where I can't use spotify anymore (was working fine for the past 3 weeks). When I go I to it now it just has a dark background with the Spotify title centred and an error beneath it. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
Samsung denied my S7 trade-in because my finger print sensor has wear and tear scratches Posted: 27 Apr 2018 02:03 PM PDT Purchased an S9+ about two months ago. Samsung just informed me that I failed to meet the trade-in requirements, and they're charging my credit card for $275, while refusing to send me my S7 back. [link] [comments]
How Do I Update to the Latest Version My Rooted Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017)? Posted: 27 Apr 2018 11:44 PM PDT I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) running Android 6.0.1. I have deferred updating it to whatever the latest version of Android is right now because of the following reasons:
However, for the past few months, it has been bugging me constantly about having run out of storage space and being unable to update my apps. I have already deleted several apps that I mostly did not need—and even some I did—to make room, but it keeps filling up the space I create and throwing up the same error every few weeks. This is the current status, according to Titanium Backup: I'd done the adoptable storage mod because I'd figured it would compensate for the paltry 16 GB of internal storage this phone came with, but it seems there is no escape from the terrible design of the Android operating system in this regard. (Aside: Seriously, Android is awesome, but this is the worst thing about it! It absolutely, positively drives me up the wall.) Given this nonsense, I figured I should bite the bullet and take a complete backup of the whole system and format the thing, and then restore everything, so that it will let me be at peace for the next six months. I also thought I would take this opportunity to update to whatever is the most recent update available for this phone, assuming that it is stable and free of any major bugs. So, can you guys please help me with the following:
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my thread and respond. [link] [comments]
Unable to add PayPal to Samsung Pay Posted: 27 Apr 2018 02:48 PM PDT I am using an S7 Edge (Unlocked) in the USA. App is up to date. I've seen the tutorials online, but when I press the "+" sign PayPal is not an option. [link] [comments]
[Help] Volume Rocker not working on lock screen of S9+ Posted: 27 Apr 2018 04:17 PM PDT Hey all, just had a quick question about the Samsung Galaxy S9+. So I recently purchased my S9+ from T-mobile. First Samsung device I've used in awhile and have been enjoying so far however there has been one thing that has been driving me up a wall. So as the title states, when I'm on my lock screen I can't use my volume rocker at all. On my previous phones I've used the volume rocker to put my phone on silent or turn the ringer on without actually unlocking my phone. On my S9+ I have to actually unlock my phone to mess around with the ringer. An extra annoying step. Is this supposed to be happen? Is there anyway to override or an alternative solution? Posted: 27 Apr 2018 09:12 PM PDT Just "upgraded" from an LG G3 to an S8. About an hour after I got home and put its case and screen protector on it started to freeze and then restart itself. It did this a few times until it didnt come back on anymore. Thinking it was dead I plugged it in to the charger but there is no light indicating that it actually is charging and it still wont turn on. Ive tried all the different button combos to reset/restart it but all it does is vibrate. Occasionally there will be thin white lines that will flash on the screen. Any one know what to do to fix? Im just gonna leave it plugged in for now. [link] [comments]

Is Samsung On Display (Note 8) intuitive to you? Posted: 27 Apr 2018 05:48 PM PDT I'm happy enough with all the feature of my Note 8. That said, I find that On display lack a key feature : a user friendlyness that keep aggravating my note taking. I'm an avid note scribbler that enjoy his Rite in the Rain notebook/pen/pouch, their ruggedness, durability and bloody simplicity. I find that my Note 8 could replace that trio and make it easier at the end of the day to synch it all back on PC, for archiving purposes. While scribbling on the locked screen is agreable enough, I find that having to double tap the note prior to taking out the S pen, then making sure to pin that modified note on the screen for further use, then having to clean the whole note pad with 45 different versions of that same note that I scribbled all day long just to have one, global note, at the end of the day, is quite inconvenient. Am I missing something? Can you write on the locked screen all day long, with numerous little adding here and there as the day go, without pinning it everytime and having to clear all those different version at the end of the day? Posted: 27 Apr 2018 01:13 PM PDT I just updated my note8 to oreo. I was wondering if there is anyway to customize the always on display image. There are some cool ones in the theme store, but not what I am looking for. Thanks in advanced! [link] [comments]
How can I tell if I need a new battery or a new phone? (Samsung Galaxy S5) Posted: 27 Apr 2018 12:24 PM PDT I've been getting under a day's worth out of my 4 year old S5 and it's been abnormally overheating. In the Battery section under Settings, I am seeing 20% Android System, 19% Android OS, 14% Screen, 5% Google Services, 5% Chrome, 5% Cell standby, etc. These percentages all seem pretty normal to me. Do I just need a new battery? [link] [comments]
Samsung Radiant speakers surround sound Posted: 27 Apr 2018 12:04 PM PDT Has anyone tried setting up three Radiant speakers as a center with a left & right? I currently have two R1's connected to a Samsung TV but would like to add a third as a center speaker. Is this possible? I can't find any answers, only relating to soundbars, but that's not a route I want to go down. [link] [comments]
Which 2018 QLED should I buy? Size vs Quality Posted: 27 Apr 2018 10:55 AM PDT I'm trying to decide if I should buy the 75 inch Q7 or the 65 inch Q9. They're both similar in price, but theoretically the quality of the Q9 should be much better. I have not yet been able to find a store that has both the Q7 and Q9 on display (usually it's the Q9 and the Q8 or the Q8 and the Q7 so I have not been able to see the two side by side). What are your opinions? [link] [comments]
Help extracting text messages from phone into a word document or table Posted: 27 Apr 2018 10:40 AM PDT Trying to make an anniversary present of a word cloud from all of our text messages, but don't know how to extract text messages from a phone. Currently using a Samsung s5 neo if that helps. [link] [comments] |
