    Things I Miss After Switching

    I've had my OnePlus 3T for around a year now, switching from an iPhone 6. Don't get me wrong, I love the phone and everything about it, but sometimes I just miss certain things about living in an Apple ecosystem.

    1. Chargers. I've been in so many situations where I've run out of juice, only to realize that I forgot my USB C cable at home. Virtually everyone uses an iPhone, so sharing cables is so much easier. Hopefully this will change as USB-C becomes more popular.

    2. Phone repair. I just noticed this one, as I dropped and shattered my screen. In the past, I could've walked into an Apple store and have it fixed by the end of the day, but unfortunately not a lot of stores stock OnePlus parts.

    Other than those two, I love using the phone. Super affordable, super fast. It's truly been my workhorse

    Please provide a stable apk link for google camera port for oneplus 5 , i couldn't find it anywhere , all that i found were very unstable and were force closing. (P.S.- apk with no root required)

    Wake screen notification bugs out

    As anyone experienced WhatsApp not waking up screen to display incoming messages? Before 8.1.1 everything was working perfectly. It happens on WiFi as well as data. Any ideas or fix? It displays them for couple times after reboot phone but then it doesn't anymore.

    How can I add Monochrome to the settings bar?

    I want to add the Monochrome developer setting to the swipe down settings bar with the toggles on Oxygen 5.0.1.

    Like the Invert Colors setting toggle, but actually useful... I know there isn't a built in way to add customs toggles.

    Do I have to modify the Oxygen build to do this? If so, where should I start?

    Is there an easier way for me to toggle this setting on and off?

    Embedded video stutter?

    Does anyone else have issues where embedded videos in Twitter (Twitter app, flamingo), Chrome, and Reddit (reddit is fun) stutter? Videos can play for 2 seconds and then miss 1 second. YouTube videos, Instagram, Twitch, and vlive are all fine Are there any easy solutions I am totally missing?

    8.1 using way less ram than 8.0.

    I remember the normal ram usage on 8.0 was around 4GB for system only. Made me wonder if there was a memory leak bug or something idk. I've never seen system using this much ram unless its a Samsung but then there's just too much bloatware on it. After updating, the system usually stays around 2GB. What system usage are you guys getting? Screenshot

    5T not showing notifications when locked

    Since the new update, when I get notifications they don't cause my phone screen to light up. If on loud, I will get the noise but no light. It makes it very difficult for me to know if I have notifications when the phone is on silent. The little dot next to the front camera also no longer flashes.

    Tried looking in settings but couldn't find anything. Anyone else had this issue?

    Over here they've mentioned that they'll update us on what is to come, and said "Hope you're looking forward to it". Well it's been over 2 weeks and they still haven't updated us on their promises, how long do they usually take with stuff like this?

    Also, they've said they're "prioritizing their software plans". I hope fixing the camera is the first thing on their priority list.

    It just seems like they take advice and suggestions and everything but they never end up doing anything about it

    Experiences with battery replacement by OP?

    I have an OP3, and the battery is (according to Accubattery) down to around 80% after two years. Not too shabby, but well. I'm pondering getting it replaced and hopefully getting a few more years extra out of the phone.

    I was wondering - does anyone have experience with the battery replacement by OP? Phone comes back unscathed?

    Anyone else getting upwards of 7 hours SoT with their 5 consistently? I just don't see how people can be unhappy/don't think OP is the greatest bang for the buck.

    Can anybody explain to me how's the new data usage system is supposed to work?

    After updating my 5T to 5.1.1 a system default data limit of 5GB was activated. If on 5.0.4 cellular data usage showed "data used" on the dashboard then now it shows "data remaining" and there's no way to switch back to the old way of showing data usage. I also reported this as a bug but it was closed with the following comment:

    I have confirmed this issue with dev team. As we confirmed,this is by design. Once you enable Data limit, even you turn off the switch, it will still show the limit data.

    Looks like an odd implementation to me. Can anyone explain what's the logic behind this new system of why can't I just see the amount of data used on the dashboard?

    Low Mic Volume using Headphone Jack on Android 8.1 (OP5T)

    I record a daily podcast using the Anchor app. It's been working great until I upgraded to 8.1 over the weekend. Now when I use my 3.5mm microphone through the headphone jack, the output is VERY LOW. It's like the input volume has been cut down by 50%.

    If I unplug it and use the phone's microphone, the input volume sounds normal, but I specifically want to use my 3.5mm microphone because it's better quality. I've also tried using iPhone headphones in the 3.5mm jack. It still record at a low volume. I've tried using other sound recording apps. Same result.

    Summary: If I don't use the 3.5mm jack, mic volume is normal. If I use the 3.5mm jack, mic volume is SUPER LOW. Anyone having this same issue? Or know what the problem could be?

    Swap navigation gesture functions?

    Hello oneplus people, I'm trying this new gesture navigation thing and quite like it. One thing I'd like to do is swap it so I can swipe up to access the recent apps (like the palm pre, rip) instead of going home, and have the swipe and hold do that instead. Is there some way to do this without rooting the phone?

    Tasker to enable geatures

    Does anyone know if there's a way to use tasker to toggle the new gestures? I've used a shortcut to toggle full screen when I'm reading things for ages now, but now the gestures are stable I'd love to swap to them instead at the press of a button instead.

    Recently Deleted Photos

    I downloaded and installed the latest updates from my OnePlus 5. I took a picture with my camera and when I deleted it it state that image has been moved to recently deleted

    But I can find no such folder of my deleted files on my phone. Where is it?

    OP3 front selfi camera dust behind screen glass.

    I can see that there is a layer of dust particles behind the glass covering the front facing camera. I have noticed it getting worse and worse over time and now I can't use face unlock because the image is so grainy it doesn't recognise me. Anyone else having this broblem / any way to fix?
