Attn: Indie Devs. Do you have a game recently (or not recently) released that you'd like reviewed for the subreddit?

Hi folks, Askew here once again.

I wanted to try something different for a change. Last week, I dropped a review for recent release, and it was mostly well received by the players. I'm not by any means a professional writer, and I'm not affiliated to any gaming publications to speak of. Be that as it may, however, writing reviews has become an increasingly fond hobby of mine over the past couple of years.

As the Sub has opened up the floodgates for the Request threads, there has been a noticeable influx of requests vs fulfillment posts on the sub's front page. As the balance of this sub's rapidly tilted from producers to consumers, it was my belief that I could possibly attempt to bring some balance to the content here by providing my proverbial two-cents. As such, I offer my services and my opinions for your title or titles.

What I'll need: The name of your game, its genre, URL address on the play store, and at least 72 hours to play your game (The longer I can try it, the more comprehensive my review will ultimately become). It can be Free, Freemium, Premium, or Pay to Play of any genre.

What I can offer: A 200-1000 word review of your title with a genuine and authentic narrative. I don't work in the games industry; I've never worked in this industry, and I probably will never be a professional in this industry, so there cannot be any conflicts of interests on my behalf. I'm just an avid fan of games that can type a series of cohesive sentences together that would like to provide some information for some of the more common topics in the sub and the individual request threads.

If you're interested, leave a reply. If you have questions, comments, concerns, gripes, grievances, complaints, or otherwise that you wish not be public knowledge, simply send me a PM. Happy gaming, y'all. #ForTheDroid

    Favorite Horizontal or One-Handed Games?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 07:13 PM PDT

I recently started commuting via light-rail and often find myself standing up and holding on to a rail or something and only having one hand free.

What are some of your favorite games that can be played horizontally and/or with one hand?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 09:01 PM PDT

I've been looking for some new games to play for a while, and like most have become frustrated with the Play store. I figured that a decent measure of a game's current popularity is the size of its community here on Reddit, so I've put together this list of the most popular android game subreddits (>20k subscribers, plus a couple just below the cutoff).

    Subreddit Subscribers Game Genre
    /r/pokemongo 789,467 Pokemon Go AR, location-based

New age of sail MMO: Ocean Legend, is worth checking out

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 06:01 PM PDT

If your looking for a new MMO and age of sail game that has a nice mix of exploration, trading and ship combat then Ocean Legend is for you. Been playing it for two days now and enjoying it. it plays a lot like Uncharted Waters Online (an older PC MMO like EVE jut on the sea instead of in space). Biggest downside is the translation is real junky, but you don't need to follow the story line just enjoy the open world content. If you are going to start playing the nationally you pick makes a big difference. It gives you tax fee trading in ports owned by your nation and their alliance, but the nations that hold less ports get additional benefits as well.

Hope to see some of you on the high seas!

A problem with flash games on Android

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 04:50 PM PDT

I use Puffin Pro to run flash games on my phone, but there's one huge problem. It's the fact that my save game is never saved! Puffin sure can run flash games, but it doesn't save any of the data when you exit the app. It really takes the point of playing it if it doesn't continue progress.

So, has anyone found a workaround to this issue? I've tried leaving Puffin open in the background, but after a while it just reloads / resets itself and re-opens the tab it was in.

Maybe there's a way to manually save data to the device? Help and ideas are greatly appreciated.

[Request] What are the best DS Emulators available for Android right now?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 08:53 PM PDT

I've got a hankering for playing some old DS and Gameboy games again. What are the best emulators available right now?

My phone is an LG G4, running Marshmallow, if that's of any use.

I don't mind a paid app as long as it's good quality and has good support.

An all in one would be great, if that's a thing.

Question about using PS4 controller with Bluetooth on pixel 2.

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 01:19 PM PDT

So, for some reason, whenever I try and use my PS4 controller as a gamepad for emulation or old ports the controls are messed up. The 'square' button acts as X and for the life of me I can't figure out what the other controls do. The apps I use are epsxe (can't find a way to configure controls) and KOTOR (still can't figure how to change controls) and KOTOR is the worst offender. PPSSPP works fine because I know how to configure the controls but, again, I can't figure out how to get the controls right on the other two apps I mentioned to save my life. Can anyone offer some advice?

[Request] IdleHeroes, but slighly less pay to win.

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 12:54 PM PDT

I am looking for a game with almost endless progression that always gives me something to work towards to. It doesn't have to be a heroes-collector, although I wouldn't mind it. Ideally it should be free to play.

[Request] Something to play in work hours which has quick game play

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 03:22 AM PDT

I don't know if there is a similar post like this but i'm looking for games to play on my phone that are mostly like Clash Royale having 3 to 6 mins of match time and is card based or something having RPG elements. I did try to play titan brawl but its apparently bugged and would not start so if any of you can help me out that would be great :D

Edit: i am not looking for MMORPG's or other styles based games just the similar clash Royale gameplay with cards and battles and short time matches that's all. another example is Hero Academy 2 but it has no PVP matches i think.

    Transferring OBB files

    Posted: 29 Apr 2018 11:47 PM PDT

    Hi guys

What are the risks, if any, of transferring OBB files to sd to install a new app? I only have 8 GB of storage, and so am short. My plan was to keep only the nesecerry games on device storage, and everything else on sd card. Any risks associated with this?
