Should I wait until summer to Buy a MacBook?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2018 12:49 PM PDT

I have heard that a new MacBook model would be released this summer, and it would be more reasonable to wait a while.

I am currently considering to buy a new 2017 MacBook Pro $1300 version (this is the maximum price I can afford). I wonder if the new model would pertain to higher-priced models or some cheaper models would be released as well. Also, are the prices for other Mac's expected to drop when the new model will be released? Should I wait till summer or go and order a Mac now?

    Thanks!

    HP Spectre x360 Questions

    Posted: 29 Apr 2018 01:49 PM PDT

So I've recently purchased the HP Spectre x360 i7 8550U. I'm not really a fan of how hot this thing gets doing something as simple as browsing the web or doing other simple things. I'm wondering if returning it and going with the i7 8705G would be a much better option. I am a fan of the numpad on the keyboard and I really like the design much better. I would also really like the performance jump. I am still within the 15 day return policy so should I go for it or should I stick with what I've got?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    macbook vs xps 13

    Posted: 29 Apr 2018 01:35 PM PDT

I know this hasbeen compared a lot but I want a most recent opinion on these. Anyway I've been a pc user my whole life and I am going to college this fall. I have had pretty disappointing experiences with pcs particularly my lenovo laptop such as crashes, slowing down a lot after 3 years, really bad battery life (~3 hours), and also laptop freezing after not touching it for 15 minutes requiring me to force shutdown nearly everyday.

Anyways thats why I am leaning towards a macbook. However i know XPS has a better battery life and a newer processor.

I want a laptop that is reliable for many years, is fast, and has a good battery life.

Which would you guys recommend? Also should I wait for a new macbook?

I'm looking for a new laptop and this laptop looks perfect for me (on the surface at least). Pretty cheap for the specs compared to something like the Dell XPS and nice and compact. Does anyone here have it or are there any good reviews out?

    Laptop Fall

    Posted: 28 Apr 2018 04:30 PM PDT

Talk today and I checked for signs of external damage, it seem to be nothing there but when I shook the laptop I heard Some Noise Within the computer. I could barely hear it and I don't know if I'm just being paranoid or not. Everything runs smoothly so far, what would u suggest that I do?

Really struggling to pick a notebook/ultrabook.

    Posted: 28 Apr 2018 05:13 PM PDT

I need a laptop to work on resumes, send out job applications, and do personal things on the web like banking, LinkedIn, etc.

I will likely have a lot of tabs open at once and be bouncing around on the web. I do not want to wait for things to load or hang switching between tabs.

I want the best price/performance tradeoff.

Note: I will likely get an X1 Carbon or other really great computer with whatever company I end up at so the lifespan of this personal laptop is short.

    $800 or less.

Also note: I really want an ultrabook for the convenience of it but am willing to consider a notebook if the performance far exceeds an ultrabook of the same price.

Thanks in advance for your feedback :)

Any HP laptops besides the omen series that will run PUBG?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2018 07:52 PM PDT

Basically my issue is my old HP pavilion is on its last legs. I'm hoping to replace it with a similarly specced laptop that doesn't look like a spaceship. Willing to spend a decent amount for the right laptop.

The main uses for the laptop -photo editing -video editing -college work -light gaming (league of legends, pubg)

Would consider a dell, Asus, or other top name brands but am partial to HP.
