| Posted: 04 Jan 2018 03:36 AM PST Looking for a music player for my CAT S41 because I don't like Google's Play Music. Came across Poweramp which has a nice design and is supposed to have great audio quality. But after some research, I read about many people having problems with the way this program verifies the license. Requiring a valid network connection for random license checks, high rate of failure to name the most frequently mentioned. I tried VLC too but its playlist management is garbage. Doesn't allow you to change the order of songs in a playlist, doesn't allow you to edit/create/delete playlists from the playlist tab (wonder what the devs had on their mind when they did it like that...), displays m3u playlists as empty on the phone, when they work just fine on the old phone's stock music player. There's not much I need on a music player app. Dark design (can be optional too as long as it's there), simple yet decent playlist/library management (like Poweramp has) and no random license checking crap (like Poweramp has) [link] [comments]  |

Gboard's autocorrect is honestly the worst I've seen, it's capitalising words, autocorrecting the past tense to plural. I have an s6 edge I decided to try out the default keyboard and the autocorrect doesn't know the word inept... I'm so sick of it... What would be cool is if there was an app in which you can specify a string for each app, which is input (like by a keyboard) if you trigger the fingerprint sensor. is anything like that already available? The time I got up at depended on how I felt that morning. For example, if I was feeling energetic I would get up after the first alarm, but if I was feeling lazy and wanted to sleep-in I would get up after the second or last. It started to get annoying having to set 3 alarms every night, but I couldn't find an alarm clock app that did what I want, so I decided to make my own. The concept is simple: when you create an alarm you first set the earliest time you want to be woken up, then you can adjust the sliders to set the number of minutes you want until the second and final alarms ring. Example The three alarms are color coded (green, amber, red) and have unique characteristics. For example, the green alarm always fades in gently, whereas the red alarm is loud and annoying. When this alarm goes off you know it's time to get up NOW. You can also optionally set a task to complete such as shaking, tapping or spinning the phone. Then, depending on how you are feeling in the morning, you can choose to get up a little early, on-time or late. It shows a timelime for the whole day and you create apps on a sidebar and move them over into the time line and fill up your day. It's a really good app to help visualise your day but recently it crashes before it opens and the dev seems to have removed it from the play store. I've tried uninstalling and installing the apk again but had no success. Is there an alternative day planner app which has a full day view that you fill with tasks? When I am using hover preview to look at media on flamingo it is not playing audio from the videos. | [Request] android remote control that supports 4.4 Posted: 04 Jan 2018 09:57 AM PST looking to put an old rooted kindle to use thats running a custom rom (on android 4.4) - screen is cracked but looks perfect so i wanted to mount it in my kitchen to watch shows on, and was looking to control it from my phone. the closest thing i found was RemoDroid but it only streams a black picture and errors if i try to change the capture type to anything other than default...so anyone know of anything that could be useful in this situation? | Anyone's having a bug in Blackplayer where the app hang when you press next? Posted: 04 Jan 2018 02:24 AM PST I don't know where to post this, since there's no blackplayer subreddit, and I'm not sure I can post complaints on this sub in hope that one of the devs read it. It happens on both the EX (paid) and free version of Blackplayer. Everytime I press next on the Now Playing screen, the music stop and the app would hang: all of the buttons are unresponsive (though they give feedback to confirm that I DID press the button), though I can still navigate the app (open settings, browsing song list, etc) I can't pick new song to play. The way I do to resolve this is just to force stop the app and restart it. I've emailed the devs but they not yet reply. Shame, I really love the simplistic UI I'm using Meizu M3 Note running Android 5.1 Other music players are fine. [link] [comments]  |
