What happened to StumbleUpon, and is there an alternative? Posted: 03 May 2022 01:56 AM PDT Probably late on this one but I am genuinely curious how such a good app disappeared from the net. And is there an alternative or is there a backup of StumbleUpon somewhere I could download from and use it in 2022. [link] [comments] |
Neat new open source RSS reader! (ReadYou) Posted: 02 May 2022 06:43 PM PDT Stumbled on this gorgeous little RSS reader called ReadYou earlier today- thought I'd share. It still seems to be early in development, but it's working well for me https://github.com/Ashinch/ReadYou I've been holding on to Flym since it got discontinued but this looks like this'll replace it for me (Note: I am not the developer) [link] [comments] |
Is there dedicated browser/extension that fakes you as a desktop user? Posted: 03 May 2022 04:24 AM PDT I'm mainly looking to get to use Spotify's desktop web player, figured someone must've had the same idea. Thanks for your time. [link] [comments] |
Can you please help me to install a temporary phone number on Android? Posted: 03 May 2022 03:16 AM PDT Hi there! I recently bought a Samsung phone. I bought it to replace my old iPhone. Basically, the entire time I had only iPhones and just recently purchased a Samsung phone based on Android OS. I don't say that it's bad or something. I'm just not used to this operating system. It's different compared to what I used to have. So, I struggle a bit with installing some apps and adjusting settings. Sadly, I had no other option left except to buy a pre-owned phone. I bought it for cash as a temporary solution. So, an old Samsung phone was the only smartphone I could afford at that moment. Maybe I will switch back to iPhone, but who knows what will happen in the future. Now, I need some help to install a temporary phone number on this phone. Now, I have Samsung S10. I dunno anything else about this phone, like a year's make or any further info. I bought it without a box and guides. Luckily, it also had a charger. Basically, a lot of drama is related to this phone story. My ex smashed my old iPhone, where I had a lot of pictures and some helpful notes. I was dumb enough not to save everything on iCloud. But, it's not the only issue I faced. That bastard also smashed my laptop and many other belongings. I quickly escaped from that damn apartment we rented together before he could break my face. He is going insane from time to time. But, sometimes, he calms down and is ready for an adult conversation. I reported him to the police this time and ran away from that apartment. Luckily, I had my credit card with me and could withdraw some cash to rent a motel room, buy a cheap phone, and get a sim card. Still, I almost have no clothes to wear or anything else. Of course, we will break up, but I need to return at least some of my stuff. I can't afford to buy everything new. When I returned to the apartment, it seemed like my ex or the landlord (they are good friends) had changed the locks. I couldn't get in. So, I want to call the landlord from the fake number because he doesn't pick up when I call him from my real one. I just dunno how to install a fake number. I know there's a lot of drama here, and the police don't really rush to help me. So, that's the only plan I have for now. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 May 2022 08:33 AM PDT As far as I can tell, it looks just like a pixel launcher and has a couple of widgets. Is this it? The promo video made out that it was going to revolutionise the way we use our phones? [link] [comments] |

[DEV] Stylish Year Progress Widget Posted: 03 May 2022 12:39 AM PDT I'm Android Developer who loves to build stuff. And I want to present to you my small widget application for Android.
In the rush of the modern world, it's easy to lose the track of time. Days become weeks and weeks become months but you only see how fast time flies and how little you've done. And on New Year's eve, you are sad because you forgot about your year goals and haven't made any progress to achieving them. Year Progress - a little helper for you. It will give you an understanding of how many days have gone and how many are left. It will show you that a year is not as big as you thought and you should act right here and right now. Posted: 03 May 2022 01:03 AM PDT I'm trying to choose my top 10 favorite bands out of a large pool of options. Is there an app where you can make a list and then bump items up or down based on priority? [link] [comments] |
how do you back up secure folder? Posted: 03 May 2022 04:41 AM PDT |
Posted: 02 May 2022 10:36 PM PDT Hey! Is there an app that can take a picture with each rear camera simultaneously and let you see each of them separately? I know the are apps like that for the front and rear camera, but I haven't seen anything like that for only the rear camera [link] [comments] |

To-do app with transparent widget with Tasks integration Posted: 03 May 2022 07:57 AM PDT I'm looking for a to-do list app/widget that syncs with Google Tasks. Does anyone know of such an app? I've seen apps that sync with Google calendar but I'm not sure if Calendar pulls tasks from Google Tasks. thanks. [link] [comments] |
Appusage Pro by Sam Lu AppUsage - How can I reset password whilst keeping data? Posted: 03 May 2022 07:30 AM PDT Hey there, I use appusage Pro on my android device and recently decided to set a passcode while drunk that my ADHD ass has promptly gone and forgotten (autofill is a life saver) Would someone here happen to know how I could go about resetting the password whilst leaving the existing app data alone? I would like to say my computing knowledge is far above average... My android knowledge rivals that of a toddler so I'd imagine I'll feel silly after getting some advice but better safe than sorry with these things. I did read something that mentioned something to do with copying the app files and replacing them after a reinstall but I am rather uncertain as information regarding this app seems to be hard to find (unless I'm just butchering my search terms) Thanks! Posted: 03 May 2022 03:21 AM PDT [ I had already asked this question on Android Questions but received no response for more than a week. ] I was wondering if the Privacy Policy change by Google would imply that even the installed Call Recording Apps would stop working. Also how would Google enforce it? How would they stop the Apps from using the feature if the user does not push through any updates or something like that? Or would they simply pull off the violatory apps off the Play Store? [link] [comments] |
Widget for quick voice recording? Posted: 03 May 2022 12:35 AM PDT I basically need quick access to voice recording to voice record some ideas and reminders. [link] [comments] |
Suggest some Apps to hide other apps secretly? Posted: 03 May 2022 02:19 AM PDT I am currently using a Samsung smart phone and need an app which hides other apps (even from recent apps) . I tried a calculator looking app but while testing it I transferred some unimportant images in it and then tried to uninstall app and all those photos were lost. [link] [comments] |
A less bloated sleep estimating app? (Or phone usage app) Posted: 03 May 2022 02:12 AM PDT There's a couple of apps that track sleep cycles, do smart wake ups etc. But all I'm looking for is an app that says 'ok you stopped using your phone at 23.00 and then you unlocked your screen at 7.00 so you slept approximately 7.5-8 hours' [link] [comments] |
how to add "open with" or "edit with" apps that aren't listed? Posted: 02 May 2022 10:22 PM PDT I don't think there's a way to customize this within Android, is there an app for this function? [link] [comments] |
Tachiyomi Fork that supports novels, short stories, etc. Posted: 03 May 2022 05:40 AM PDT Is there any Tachiyomi fork for ebooks? I know there are some for Light novels. [link] [comments] |

How to stop Google from removing permissions from unused apps? Posted: 02 May 2022 11:39 PM PDT Google wants to remove permissions from 3 apps that I didn't use for a long time. I want these apps in case I need them, and if I really didn't need them, I would have uninstalled them by now. How do I prevent this? [link] [comments] |
Does anyone know of a custom graph widget? Posted: 03 May 2022 05:36 AM PDT I'm looking for an app where I can make a piechart, add numbers on the widget and see the output. More specifically, I wanna track down my daily activities by percentage, e.g: 24 hours (or 1440 minutes) = 100%, if I read a book for 1h40, I'll enter this value in the widget/app and see the piechart changing in the widget. I guess there are some budget apps with this feature? Or maybe a widget that can show an excel file? [link] [comments] |
App that alerts an emergency contact unless you tell it not to? Posted: 02 May 2022 11:10 AM PDT Is there an app or program that will send a message to designated contact person unless I stop it from doing so first? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 May 2022 01:03 AM PDT Hello, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I usually don't ask stuff like this however it's annoying me to death. Within the last month or so the alarm feature in the default clock app started changing my screensaver setting and I have no idea why. I have it set to photo frame and after my alarm goes off it changes to colors, any help on how to fix this would be appreciated. Within the last few months however, any watch face I download with the Facer app seems to randomly stop updating time on my watch. It forces me to switch to a default face, then back to the facer app watchface and upon switching back it will act normal for a day or so. I'm usually good with fixing my own problems but theses 2 bugs are killing me trying to figure out. [link] [comments] |
