    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.- Web browsing, MS Office, movies streaming and gaming
    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
    • - Minecraft, csgo, Genshin impact. Though mostly just Genshin impact
    • - I don't expect much, but I do want a decent and reliable framerate at medium setting
    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
    • Need to be durable enough to last me through college for 3-5 years without any major issues or the laptop degrading too much
    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion
    • Open to any suggestions, and thanks!

    Help me decide gaming laptop!!

    Posted: 23 Mar 2022 01:45 AM PDT

    I'm stuck between two:

    Lenovo Legion 5%20PC%20Gaming%20HW%20-%20Top%20SKUs%20Generic~wk45~Exact~71700000071533684~&mctag=gg_goog_7904&kwid=GOOGLE&device=m&ds_kids=92700069990266569&tgtid=0073%20(Shopping%20Ads)%20PC%20Gaming%20HW%20-%20Top%20SKUs%20Generic&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8Ou5-pnT9gIVyO3tCh3NnQxkEAQYAyABEgJuWfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) 15.6 inch with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD, GeForce RTX 3070 8GB. For £1300

    ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 15.6 inch with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS, 16GB Ram, 1TB SSD, GeForce RTX 3060 6GB. For £1350

I'm not a hardcore gamer and don't need everything to run at ultra settings, native is fine in all games for me. However I've heard that the RTX 3070 is far ahead of the RTX 3060 and more future proof.

I travel with work and l appreciate the lower weight and much longer battery life of the ASUS over the Lenovo.

I know that the legion 5 is a good laptop from seeing it everywhere in this sub however I've not seen much about this spec ASUS Zephyrus anywhere.

Any advice would be massively appreciated! Thanks in advance!
