| MIUI 12.0.2.0 sucks major balls Posted: 15 Jul 2021 09:06 PM PDT I recently updated my note 9 s to android 11 (updates are usually come late here in Africa) which came with MIUI global version 12.0.2.0. Ever since, I have been unable to install Nova Launcher...my fave launcher since i can customize icons and whatnot. I even tried contacting the developer and installing the apk from unofficial sites but to no avail. Most recently my youtube vanced app stopped working (the youtube app with no ads and stuff). A clean install and factory reset did not help. I now have to use the normal youtube app with more ads than videos. It was so frustrating I even considered swirching back to Samsung. Any help would be nice. Otherwise I'll just have to wait for MIUI 13 and hope it does not suck too. [link] [comments]  | ||

They got rid of that stupid Bubbles bug, thank god. BUT. COMPLETELY. CHANGED. NOTIFICATIONS DRAWER. Why do I need three clicks to read multiple messages from a person? Why do I need two clicks to extend notifications from an app? Was the easy and fast action of "swiping down" so beneath your design team? Who the hell really needed that to be changed? Has anyone at Xiaomi read something about called "5 Principles of Usability"? Do you guys need a book on it? But hey, we got a new volume slider. That's cool I guess. | Can't activate SIM for MI account (Note 8) Posted: 15 Jul 2021 09:04 PM PDT I think I need to activate my SIM within the MI Account in order to make Xiaomi unlock bootlader tool work on my brand new Redmi Note 8 ginkgo (Snapdragon version) SIM card has credit and is not blocked for international SMS. Phone number is added to XIAOMI account and SIM info. Xiaomi SIM app has all permissions. What I am missing here? I did a reset and installed google play services from the mi store, when I tried to opening google play, it just crashes, I tried resetting the cache, and data and it still crashes. For some reason her phone has the 12.0.5 update available while I'm stuck with the extremely irritating and buggy 12.0.2. Any ideas on this? Also, all gestures are disabled whether or not I turn them on in settings, floating windows don't work anymore and the phone on the whole has slowed down as well as battery drain is very fast as many people have complained. My phone is not slower and worse, I cant connect to my laptop. It only charges and the notification that indicated "Charging via USB) is not showing up.
