I think most people would agree that for last several months the gallery app has been beyond trash. It's kind of extraordinary just how bad it is. It lags, it crashes, it takes literally minutes to load in some cases and, of course, sometimes it doesn't show all your photos and videos. Anyways, although I find it hard to believe just how bad it is, I'm not here to complain about that, besides lately it has improved some. So today I open the gallery app and I'm greeted with this popup. Who thought this is a good idea? Who cares about the damn community app and their Easter eggs. I just want to use my phone. Perhaps many would think it's not a big deal, just tap okay and move on. Sure, that is right, but that's not the point. Why would they even add this popup and the stupid Easter egg. If you want to add a popup go to the crappy community app and add as many as your heart desires, not my Gallery. Perhaps let's first make a damn usable gallery and then worry about Easter eggs, oneplus? Rant over. [link] [comments]  | ||

| OP Nord N100/N200 temporary replacement for OP6T? Posted: 15 Jul 2021 03:33 PM PDT Hi All. So I've had the 6T since launch, and it's been amazing ever since with no real issues. However, in the past few months I've been using the phone without a case and I've dropped it many times and it's cracked on the front and back, but it still works pretty much perfectly. However, for the last couple weeks the WiFi has been giving me issues, and the phone has been freezing and not registering touch when I start charging it and it gets a bit warm. I've been considering getting one of the Nord phones (either the N100 or N200) as a temporary replacement until the new phones come out in mid-Fall (Pixel 6, OP9T, iPhone 13 Pro, etc etc), and I don't want to get a flagship phone a couple months before the new ones come out for obvious reasons. Are either the N100 or N200 worth it? Or are they much slower/etc than the 6T and will give me other issues? Thanks for any recommendations/advice in advance :) Cheers! [link] [comments]  | ||

It doesn't have wireless charging, but it does have dual sim whereas the US version doesn't. It's running OxygenOS already. Is there any downside to it? There are a few minor issues which I'm working out one by one, but this one I just can't fuss out. Whenever I am playing media- either music or a video and movie, the lock screen background/wallpaper changes to the music album picture, or the thumbnail of the video. I hate this. I like my lock screen background and I don't get to see it 90% of the time because even when nothing is playing media- stays queued in the background. Does anybody know how to turn this feature off? | Need help fixing my dumb mistake Posted: 15 Jul 2021 10:47 AM PDT So, basically, i destroyed my new oneplus 8 pro while trying to root it. i got the "QUALCOMM crashdump mode" and everything i tried to do led to it again. after a couplew days of messing with it because it was already dead in my mind i manged to find a guide to "fix" it, so i tried my best to not fuck up again and i managed to get the recovery mode and the Fastboot working again, but now it won't turn off and the normal boot always leds to the fastboot, nothing i have tried worked: installingh TWRP multiple times never led to anything or countless program that probably just put malware in my pc fixed the problem. Now, i wanted to be realistic and was going to buy something else while kicking my own ass but i first want to ask you guys. Does any kind soul have any idea on how to fix it before i spend another 700+$ on another phone? [link] [comments]  | ||

All other devices in my household can still cast, so I know it's not my chromecast or my wifi. I've tried factory resetting a few times, and each time, I have casting ability then lose it as I'm setting up my phone. And each time, it was something different that caused me to lose my casting ability. Most weirdly, when I switch my phone to a Guest profile, casting works! But when I'm on my main profile, it says it can't find any devices. This is for all apps that have casting functionality. I found this thread on the OnePlus forum (https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/no-cast-devices-discovered.1416960/) with other people who have the same issue, but there isn't a fix posted yet. Got the OP 9 Pro and had the charger included. I prefer to mainly use wired charging and have a good place for it, but the wireless will help for another room and also other devices. Still, I would like to get the most out of the 50W charging power. Clearly, one option is to get another 65W brick as the one included, but I was hoping to have better options and maybe cheaper. I've tried checking my customisation settings but haven't found any option to sort this out. It just asks me to choose another display but still doesn't show anything when I lift my phone up. I was asked to change preset themes but I'm not finding any such setting on my phone. Any leads? [link] [comments]  | ||
