- Can't boot with 4 sticks of RAM (it's booting fine with 3)
- gpu fps drops and low fps
- Need help with a shared printer that does not have win10 driver
- My PC works fine normally but when I started it today…this shows up as normal but doesn’t proceed to load into the password form. Any suggestions?
- Step mother almost fell for a remote access scam. Need some reassurance from smarter people than me.
- Windows 7 update throws 80072efe and now acts as not expected
- Computer hard turns off

So all slots are fine, and all sticks are fine but i can get only 24 GB ram, not 32 GB. All speeds are set to 2400hz. I tried Bios reset, Bios upgrade, mixing ram, adding more volts, XMP on/off - nothing is working... any other ideas? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 15 Jul 2021 08:25 AM PDT hello i have an RTX 3070 TI VISION R5 3600X ASUS B550M-K BALLISTIX 3200MHZ 8x2 RAM in fortnite i see benchmarks where people get 180+ fps wand i sometimes i get 180+ fps too but my game stutters and have drops to 100m fps and in RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 my gpu usage is never above 80% VALORANT 200- fps OVERWATCH NOT THE SAME AS BENCHMARKS what i think the reason is for these issues is i havent updated my motherboard drivers in a year PLS HELP SHOULD I BE WORRIED [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 14 Jul 2021 03:10 PM PDT Waking up this noon to my step mother in the middle of a very obvious fake tech support remote access scam. The guy already had access to her macbook through a remote access app he convinced her to download and was trying to get access to the whole network, including my devices and i don't know if he got access or not because my folks couldn't explain it well, and he was very pushy and trying to get them to stay on the line and enter bank information, which 100% assured me it was a scam, when i showed up and warned them of such things. I shut off her device and the wifi entirely just to be safe and told her to bring it in to where she bought it from. It's relatively new Macbook so no precious things are saved on it so should be fine to factory reset. Now I'm only mildly more tech literate than my parents. I don't know what he does and doesn't have access to for the time being so i'm on my phones crappy slow wifi which i'm 99% sure that guy wouldn't have access to. I'm pretty much tech illiterate other than the very basics so i'm not entirely sure if it's safe to get back onto my own wifi network while that device is in the house or not. | Windows 7 update throws 80072efe and now acts as not expected Posted: 14 Jul 2021 10:32 PM PDT Hello, reddit Recently a my friend lended me a laptop. I have windows 7 SP1 installed on it. So first i installed something like KB***312.msc . The update went fine. But then it was just saying checking for updates for like 30 minutes. So then i installed some 2-3 .msc s to solve it. Then I did somethings but i can't correctly recall (might post later) that lead me to a bell sound in startup. I manually turned off the laptop. After 10 minutes i turned on it; then it says Startup error or whatever so then i clicked automatic repair. It was 12.00 pm and this"repair thing got 20 minutes and nothing. Just that green thing <--> lol. So i thought i will clean install an win 7 if this lap get damaged so I removed the battery and then 8t was going on AC. So unplugged the cable.Then it just opened automatically with startup sound. So i got off my bed, turned off it. Next day (today) I installed some other KB msc s and all installed successfully. Then i tried updating it just says "downloading 0 kb, 0%" for 15 mins. The whole update was 1000 mb, my wifi is 6.0 mbps. Then I went to the Action center and tried reporting the problems to MICROSOFT. There was several reports including stuff about: -A malware -update problems So the reporting thing did not worked either. It just said trouble reporting ro mixrosoft. And my date and time is correct and synced withe time.windows.com. So what is the exact maneuver to get the updates installed? If you can help I would be very glad and thankfull. | Posted: 14 Jul 2021 03:35 PM PDT So my computer has been randomly turning off without warning and won't allow me to turn it back on unless I reset the psu switch. I attempted switching the outlet my computer was plugged into, but it has not helped. Any ideas what's going on reddit? [link] [comments]  |
