Battery Replacement Showing incorrect percentages Posted: 04 Jan 2021 03:42 PM PST Replaced my OnePlus 6 battery at the weekend (OEM), and since then it's been dying at about 20% and saying battery too low when I go to turn it back on. The battery is lasting a lot longer so I'm not too fussed, but is there a way of getting the battery percentage to start reading accurately again? Saw on some older non one plus phones that there was a combinations of buttons to hold down whilst the phones off to reset the battery logic and how it interacts with the software, anyone come across this for one plus? Anyone rooted and still play games like Pokémon go or summoners war? Posted: 04 Jan 2021 05:23 PM PST I want to root my phone but I know these kind of games block rooted phones and I was wondering if magisk hide is able to hide the root to these apps. If anyone has any information about this [link] [comments]
What to expect from OP7 with OxygenOS 11 ? Posted: 04 Jan 2021 08:12 PM PST I am OP7 owner. Due to the device is listed for next batch, I just afraid it will runes the clean experiences of the older version. How is it going on now for anybody using it ? [link] [comments]
Oneplus Warp Charge 65 - questions Posted: 04 Jan 2021 07:47 PM PST With the 8T, Oneplus launched the Warp Charge 65 charger. This charger can do the 65W on the 8T, but also 30W Warp (7/7P/7T/8/8Pro), and 20W dash, and also USB-PD for other devices like ultrabooks, ipads, etc. Before the WC65, dash and warp chargers used USB-A to C cables, and the Warp Charge 65 now uses C to C. So, question, perhaps for those who own one, with this charger, can you get 30W (or 65W) warp with a USB-C PD cable that can support USB-C PD for a comparable wattage? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jan 2021 03:07 PM PST Considering getting a P5, as I've been having loads of small but very frustrating issues in OOS over the past 4/5 months, which I only see as getting worse once the 11.0 update comes. I'm looking at switching to pixel as my budget is 700, and smooth, functioning software is my main priority. I'm aware that the P5 is a downgrade in many ways from the 7 pro despite being nearly 2 years newer. I'm just wondering what people noticed when they swapped between the devices themselves? I know of a few things that I'm prepared to lose and I'll list those below. I'm prepared to drop the overall hardware quality down in order to get a smoother overall software experience. It'll go in a case so I don't mind glass over plastic. The processor slightly concerns me, however; I don't do any gaming. I don't really max out the performance on my 7 pro ever, just sometimes it can stutter, but it seems to be a buggy kind at random times rather than the phone not being able to handle what I'm doing. The alert slider is nice but not vital to me. The speakers and haptics are nice, but I don't need anything special. I have nice BT speakers and headphones to use. For anyone wondering what issues I've had: It's been things like the playback buttons disappearing in apps and the media notification, the fingerprint scanner trying to scan but not lighting up the backlight unless I press the power button. Certain apps just not working properly. Messenger and Snapchat (both with Android wide problems, I know) freezing and not working properly, and not being able to access video calls if I go to PiP whilst I'm in them - that last one isn't an Android wide issue as far as I know, and has become very frustrating with the amount of video calling I've been doing in the pandemic. The phone and dialer has had some awful problems. These include the microphone not working in any calls for 6 weeks, and a few weeks of phone calls hanging up after 1 minute consistently once that first bug disappeared. I can deal with these issues happening individually every now and then, but the combination of these simple but massively inconvenient bugs have made life hard at times. Almost lost out on a job because of the phone/dialer issues. [link] [comments]

Intermittent failure of sending and receiving SMS on OP8Pro Posted: 04 Jan 2021 09:05 AM PST Confirmed problem as described, I now have lost faith in SMS in entirety. It almost would be better if it did not work at all, as this is causing quite a disruption. At best this issue has also locked me out of 2nd factor authentication multiple times, at worst, my friends not getting nor me receiving texts causing confusion. Verizon has twice now reset and resynced the messages. At first we thought it was the new 5G switch Network requirements, but after troubleshooting and doing thier thing, network blame is loosing credibility and its starting to look like a hardware or software (phone issue). Anyone else having this issue? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jan 2021 12:45 PM PST I'm looking at the Spigen brand on Amazon and I see cases for the Verizon version and non-Verizon version. Also I'm seeing cases labeled at one plus 8 and cases labeled as one plus 8 5G. I just ordered the TMobile 8 5G. Will cases for the 8 and 8 5G both work? Or is the 8 and 8 5G one in the same as there is only the 5G model? Thank you. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Jan 2021 02:41 PM PST I recently bought an amazon Renewed OnePlus 7 Pro. (Nebula Blue 8Gb ram, 256 ROM) However when I watched reviews of the phone everyone said it was Matte Blue. Mine is blue but the back is not Matte at all. It is a fingerprint magnet. I was wondering is the phone barley Matte and I can't feel it or do you think the back was swapped out. Posted: 04 Jan 2021 02:29 PM PST I recently had my phone serviced for liquid damage at the old repair center (ASUS) and they replaced everything they needed to and I paid $200 and my phone worked perfectly again. This time, I cracked my front and back glass and I sent it in for cosmetic repair. Now OnePlus recently uses a new repair center and now, they're charging me for the glass replacements, BUT ALSO the motherboard, Cameras, fingerprint sensors, literally EVERYTHING. When calling OnePlus, they said it was liquid damage, but I said that everything had already been resolved under my previous repair. I was only looking to pay $120 but now they're asking $500. To make matters worse, unlike ASUS, they won't even repair it partially (just the screens). No. They're saying repair and replace EVERYTHING, or nothing. This is completely ridiculous for 3 reasons. 1. The old center should've already replaced and fixed everything (they did) 2. These new people should only be repairing what I want repaired. Nothing else needs a repair, everything else works. 3. If they are claiming liquid damage now, that means that ASUS repair center didn't fix/replace anything (they did). This new repair center is trying to scam me. Tips on what I can do? Please I need help [link] [comments]
I'd the OnePlus 8t designed to be water resistant. Posted: 04 Jan 2021 07:31 AM PST I found out that that oneplus 8t+ from T-Mobile is rated ip68. And there seems to be no design difference in the two model (8t & 8t+)from what googling I have done . So what do you guys think? Also OnePlus has said many times it's phones are pretty water resistant and they don't want to spend money on certification. [link] [comments]
So I guess in addition to "Warp Charging", there's also "Rapid Charging"? Posted: 04 Jan 2021 12:59 PM PST The other day, I figured out my OnePlus can "rapidly charge" instead of "warp charging" on compatible chargers. I was using the charger for my Razer Blade Stealth. I was under the impression that we only had proprietary "Warp Charge", as every quick charger I've plugged into this phone aside from the Warp Charger charges it slow. Is this Qualcomm's QuickCharge or something else? [link] [comments]
OnePlus 8 Verizon edition not receiving OOS11 Posted: 04 Jan 2021 12:43 PM PST I have a OnePlus 8 Verizon edition (aka OnePlus 8 5G UW) and I haven't received Oxygen OS 11 yet. Does anyone else with the same phone also have this problem? And also, do you think it'll roll out eventually? [link] [comments]
OnePlus 8 Pro - focus problem on main camera module Posted: 04 Jan 2021 08:20 AM PST Hi all, I recently noticed that the main camera module is out of focus even if I try to force it to focus manually by clicking on a part of the picture. Here is how it look: out of focus main camera The 2 other camera (wide angle and zoom) are OK. I tried the simple tricks : cleaning up the lenses, clear cache of camera app, trying a third party app... The more complex ones : hard reset of the phone... Nothing worked. I mailed Oneplus support team which made me do all the step all over again. That obviously didn't work either. As they don't have any solution, they just told me that they are sending the case to the research and development team... I should mention that 3 months ago, I dropped my phone. Nothing too serious but the rear case was damaged. There was no problem with the camera at that point as I used it several times after that. I went to a professional shop to change the back cover. It's OK and I tried everything when I got my phone back, including the camera. Everything was fine then. Do you think the fall or the rear cover change may have caused this problem ? Do you have any new idea to help me ? Should I ask for a repair to OnePlus to change the camera module (and check that everything is OK with the rear cover) ? Thanks for your help ! OnePlus 8T stuttering audio/video after update Posted: 04 Jan 2021 07:48 AM PST I saw the post about the newest OS update making the 8T almost unusable a little too late. I tried the filming a video in native and watching it back and it fixed everything but only for a few days... Are there any other ideas? I can't watch or listening to literally anything. Nav gestures freeze sometimes and require lock and unlock of phone Posted: 04 Jan 2021 07:02 AM PST When just swiping up to go back home, the frame freezes, and I have to close my phone and open it again. Anyone else have this? It's been an issue since oos 11 [link] [comments]
Just ordered my Oneplus Nord! Soon part of the Red Cable Gang Posted: 04 Jan 2021 09:31 AM PST Just ordered my 128GB Gray Onyx Oneplus Nord. I was really interested in the Device ever since it was announced and now I finally decided to buy it! I got the Sandstone bumper case and Oneplus' Tempered glass screen protector with it. 90hz will be new to me, really excited about that aswell as the in-display fingerprint sensor. Im really enthusiastic about Phones and Oxygen OS was a really big reason for the OPN, the cleanness etc. OxygenOS 11 seems to change that. Even though I am more of a fan of the super clean oos10, i so far like what ive seen for oos11 except for the consistency in design of the new designed apps. How are you guys liking your Oneplus Nord and what are your thoughts on OxygenOS 11? Happy new Year! .. even though we are already 4 days in [link] [comments] |
