What's been with all the hate for Oneplus? (out of the loop) Posted: 31 Dec 2020 05:41 PM PST I've been using a Oneplus 5t for quite awhile now and have had 0 issues with the phone. I recently bought a 7t because of the bhphoto sale. It was $300 USD. I am loving both phones and have had 0 issues with them. I come into this Oneplus sub reddit and see a ton of people hating on Oneplus. I don't understand all the hate for Oneplus, I've been using both my phones fine with 0 problems. Can someone explain what's with all the hate, I am out of the loop. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 31 Dec 2020 12:17 PM PST Hey guys, I'm planning to purchase a OP8 Pro and I'm currently a student so I'd want it to be reliable and last me atleast 4 years or so. Additionally, I would like to know how the Android 11 is holding up for the Pro users and is there anything I need to be worried about. I'm looking at the US version and would be running dual sim (one of them is going to be my country's SIM). I'd like to know whether the issue of not being able to utilize dual SIM had been fixed or not. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! [link] [comments] |

[1+ 8 Pro] Screen sometimes gets a yellow tint at certain scrolling positions in Chrome. Posted: 31 Dec 2020 09:23 AM PST I recently got a brand new 1+8 Pro, and I occasionally get a weird issue in Chrome, where my screen gets a slight yellow tint whenever I scroll to certain parts of the page I'm viewing. The tint disappears when I scroll to another area of the page, and I've yet to encounter this issue in other apps, browsers included (no tints in Edge). This seems to have persisted between me using OxygenOS 10.6.something (I will double check the version later), and using the latest OxygenOS version (something above 11). What's even stranger, is that when I tried to record my screen doing this with the built-in screen recorder, the tint didn't show up on the recording. Screen brightness is about 1/2 of the max, adaptive brightness and "comfort tone" both off, QHD+ at 120Hz with "Advanced" colour profile at default settings. Dark tone on. See above for system version. Anyone experiencing the same thing, or know why it happens/how to fix it? It's not really annoying me, it's just very strange. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Dec 2020 07:59 PM PST For those cribbing about feedback aka hate posts. Have you even remotely considered the chance that your phone might be working fine because of the feedback(cribbing as you call it) people have been giving to oneplus in various forums(including this subreddit)? Mind it, oneplus rolledback their approach to preinstall facebook on phones due to this feedback/cribbing people did on this subreddit. Have you even seen how feedback/dissent is handled by oneplus on their community app? They just close the complaint and dont do anything abiut bugs. This subreddit provides a transparent medium for those who are not getting answers from oneplus without the fear of oneplus closing threads. All I want to say is, if you dont like this effective feedback mechanism which reddit provides. Just shut up and consider yourself blessed that someone is doing the work for you to hold oneplus accountable. [link] [comments] |
oneplus 8 pro crdriod fails to install Posted: 31 Dec 2020 07:34 PM PST I am running windows 10 with adb and fastboot set in my path variables I installed the oneplus drivers that came with the phone I ran the installer and this is the output: Can anyone help me on what needs to be done in order to have a successful install? 7T Pro - Gallery draining battery Posted: 31 Dec 2020 07:22 PM PST Recently I've noticed that the gallery app on my 7T Pro is draining the battery. Completely without me using it. Last 24 hours, 44% battery use and only 1 minute in actual use. I find it weird that it have used so much battery, but that's what it says. Any ideas how to fix it? And anyone else with the same problem? [link] [comments] |
Your favorite browser that supports 120 hz? Posted: 31 Dec 2020 02:56 PM PST Hi, I like using Brave browser on Android not only because it's chromium based and feel more responsive than non-chromium based browsers (Firefox), but also for it's native ad blocking. The thing is, Brave runs at 60hz on my OP8Pro which is very unfortunate. Weirdly enough, it runs at 90hz on 90hz max screens. Can you guys recommend any ad blocking browser that can run at 120hz? Posted: 31 Dec 2020 02:24 PM PST I mean except of the software? Because the ROM I could easily flash with the European Version. Im worried mostly if it has the same 4G/5G Connectivity Bandwith. These are the European Supported Bands, but is the Chinese variant different?
Thanks if someone here has the answer. [link] [comments] |
PSA OnePlus 8T 11.0.6.8 lag fix Posted: 31 Dec 2020 06:02 PM PST Try to record a video with the stock camera app, play it back and then delete it. Once you have done this try YouTube, Netflix etc and the lag will have been fixed until your phone restarts. You're welcome. [link] [comments] |
OnePlus 8 - multiple freezes daily Posted: 31 Dec 2020 11:43 AM PST I recently updated to OOS11 and I'm now experiencing freezes and app/system UI crashes multiple times a day. Anyone else come across this and found a fix, or is it just a case of waiting for a new update from OnePlus? [link] [comments] |
Can't send videos was able to the other day Posted: 31 Dec 2020 12:45 PM PST Hello I am new to the one plus and really enjoying it. I have the one plus 8T, having issue sending videos through text. The other day I had no issues sending videos the same size. Tried to send more and saying file it too large. So I double checked tried sending the same videos I did before and they said the same thing. Any thoughts? Little lost here. [link] [comments] |
Anyone using one plus phone with at&t Posted: 31 Dec 2020 04:21 PM PST Was wondering your experiences. I know it doesn't have 5g which is fine, but was wondering how is calling. Do calls drop and is connection good [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Dec 2020 04:20 PM PST A few minutes after midmight my OnePlus 5 shut off. The screen turned black and my bluetooth headset disconnected. I started it again and everything worked fine. After some time (10-20min) it crashed again. But this time it didnt turn on - starting the phone put it into an endless boot loop. It now suddenly started to work again, but Im concerned about its reliability... Maybe someone has a tip or had the same behaviour on his phone? [link] [comments] |
8T - not getting notifications Posted: 31 Dec 2020 08:35 AM PST Hi, There have been a few posts but none of them helped me solve this issue. I don't get gmail and other apps notifications even though notifications are enabled. I do get a sound and vibration in "ring" mode, but the notifications don't get saved in the navbar. This isn't the only bug I'm encountering. E.g. "insight" doesn't give me the timespan during which I turned on the screen, it only shows the number of unlocks. Also when scrolling twitter or reddit I get stutters, or sometimes the "send" button disappears when using the keyboard. Not trying to sound resentful here, but if oneplus doesn't fix these bugs I will switch to lineage OS until oxygen OS 11 is stable. The warranty will not vanish, right? Regardless, it would be cool if you could help me. Cheers! [link] [comments] |
Basic OnePlus 7 impossible to shop for Posted: 31 Dec 2020 04:03 PM PST I've been trying to find a decent phone case for my OnePlus 7, but everything I find in a search on Amazon or anywhere else always comes up with either the 7T or 7 Pro. Will a case for the 7 Pro fit the base 7? [link] [comments] |
Apple usb c to 3.5mm jack adapter Posted: 31 Dec 2020 03:43 PM PST So I use my apple dongle and earphones for music when I'm going out, and for some reason the max volume on my 7 Pro Is just much lower than on my 7 year old iPhone 5s. Is that something that apple dies to regulate the volume of just something of all android phones? [link] [comments] |
Why do my photos look so bad on 8 pro Posted: 31 Dec 2020 03:42 PM PST Apparently I can't directly share the image but I have alot of really bad photos come out at home. Huge black lines through it with so much noice Something is going on with stock camera and G cam that make the pictures have these lines through that destroy lovely photos of my wife and son. It's unusable and certainly would make me rethink getting a OnePlus again in the future. I knew the camera wasn't exactly its strong point but how can you create memories like this? We are not in 1908 with grainy photos anymore lol [link] [comments] |

oneplus disabled 3rd party cables with an update Posted: 31 Dec 2020 02:23 PM PST I got a notification/prompt from oneplus 6t (a year old) and after the update no 3rd party cables can charge it but only their USB type c cable can charge it. This is the exact same problem with other 2 of my friends (we all brought it on the same day together). Anyone seeing this? or is it just some selected region ( I am in india) or customers whom they are trying to push for a new phone. 1. much expensive dell's usb type c cable for their usb type c docking station won't work
