To-do list app (like todoist or tasks for instance) for shift workers Posted: 01 Oct 2020 12:21 AM PDT Hey there, I'm struggling to find an app like the ones mentioned, that enable you to set habits, activities, and stuff on times of days depending on the work shift of the week. An example: I have two shifts, 6-13.15 and 14-21.15. I want to schedule activities to be listed on afternoons of the morning shift weeks, and the same to be set during the morning of the afternoon shift weeks. Is there anything like that out there? Maybe even one of the most popular that has this option on premium? Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
Would anyone be interested in trying out my app and give some feedback? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 11:15 AM PDT I recently launched a messaging app called smango that makes the user experience more fun with text triggered 3D emojis and the smartphone camera. Here's the download link: https://www.parats.io/smango-download [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Oct 2020 12:03 PM PDT What's your favourite VPN app? I really like ProtonVPN, but it usually disconnect from the server. I would like to have an opinion on both free and paid apps. [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Popup Invasion - A game where you are the popup blocker! Posted: 01 Oct 2020 07:54 AM PDT Last week on reddit, I held a crowdsourcing campaign to name this game! It is now available to download free on the play store! This is just version 1, so please please please give me as much feedback as you can 🙏 Hope y'all get nostalgic feels from this windows 98 style simulator. The objective is simple; close the popups before it crashes the computer! It may sound simple, but even level 1 can be extremely challenging! [link] [comments] |
Equalizer app to balance the volume in earbuds? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 10:05 AM PDT My favorite earbuds are starting to not work so well. One side isn't as loud as the other and I have looked so much but can't seem to find an app that will allow me to balance the left and right the way I want. Unfortunately there isn't already a setting like that in my phone (Xiaomi Mi 9T) Does anyone know an apl that I may have just not yet come across? [link] [comments] |
Hello, i was wondering if is droidcam secure? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 10:22 AM PDT I need to use my phone as a webcam for my PC for MS teams meetings as i currently dont have one. If it is not secure, then what alternatives do i have. Need responses in the next 16 hours. Edit: Can you tell me if the PC app is secure as well. Does it contain malware is my main question. I have a dynamic IP so it doesnt worry me to much about my wifi [link] [comments] |

Email App recommendations with privacy as its focus Posted: 01 Oct 2020 11:49 AM PDT Email apps that don't have any privacy problems and that work reliably with push notifications. I tried to use k9, but it has some problems which cause me problems, like push notifications not working etc. [link] [comments] |
Is there an app like Forest but for breaks instead of work intervals? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 05:50 AM PDT I was wondering if there's an app where you set interval (for example 8-13 am) and it alerts you, for example, if you pick up your phone for more than 10 minutes during that time. So basically a pomodoro timer that instead of tracking the time without using your phone like Forest, it does the opposite so that your breaks don't last too much. [link] [comments] |
What's a good, simple, and ideally free way of controlling an Android tablet remotely? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 11:26 AM PDT I feel like I'm going around in circles reading articles, watching videos, and scouring the Play Store, so to save my sanity I've decided to ask the significant smarter cloud of wisdom! Tl;dr is I have an elderly relative who is, like a lot of people right now, finding things pretty tough and I want to try to engage her more. I've tried technology before and she just doesn't get it, so I'd like to get a tablet that I can set up for her, add a messaging app that she never has to close, and be able to send her photos and notes throughout the day. I've looked at other options but for a multitude of reasons, just getting a basic tablet and doing this is the best thing right now. She lives some distance from me and I need to be able to remote onto it to change settings, do any updates, that kind of thing, but I can't seem to quite see what I'm after. Does anyone have any experience of something similar and has a good recommendation? Thanks in advance 🙂 [link] [comments] |

Best tools, customization and power user apps that increase productivity? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 12:13 PM PDT What are the best power user apps that help you get more things done on your phone/tablet? Apps so powerful and useful that they keep you on Android? KDEConnect - share files, notifications, links across Windows/Mac/Android. A link is shared via the share menu. Any app to use phone's gyro as swiping in any game? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 11:55 AM PDT Some FPS games allow using the phone's gyroscope for aiming, I was wondering if there was an app, like Octopus, that would allow the phone's gyroscope to be used in any game? Or can you do this with Octopus? Not concerned with getting banned from using Octopus, my usage for it won't be an issue. [link] [comments] |
Looking for app developers to work with on a couple of projects Posted: 01 Oct 2020 07:31 AM PDT If you're an app developer with experience developing apps for Android, and are interested in joining a project to develop two commercial apps which a potentially huge user base market, then I'd like to hear from you. Please note, you will not be paid for helping developing the app, but you will own a share of the company which owns the apps 100% and will also receive a generous profit share from revenue generated. This will be done properly with a legal contract. I don't want to go into too much detail here, except to say the first app is a payment app for cryptocurrencies (with a difference!). The second app, is for viewing and sharing streamed premium video content online. If this sounds like something that might interest you, please get in touch and I'll provide more details. Note: My company is based in the UK, but we don't mind working with anyone, anywhere in the world who is proficient in app development (ideally with experience and a track record of successful app development) and you must be fluent in English. Posted: 01 Oct 2020 10:26 AM PDT Hello, I am using Batalan's Deezer from mobilism. Lyrics work perfect on my android, but when casting on chromecast, they do not appear. And this seems to be a feature for free app too. Does anyone know if this is how it works? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Sep 2020 06:12 PM PDT IFTTT will limit to 3 applets unless you pay. I am looking to replace IFTTT with a free app. I used IFTTT to add custom commands to my Google Home smart speaker. What free app can do this? [link] [comments] |
Similar app to "Google Find My Device" Posted: 01 Oct 2020 09:12 AM PDT Hi. Is there a lightweight app that does the same as "Google Find My Device", just without notifying the phone. Like in google situation with annoying "You phone has been located" in notification bay. Requirements: 1) Lightweight. It must not be running in background, and doing things like tracking the phone, and where it has been. So literally no battery usage when idle. 2) It shall only react/use battery, when you actually want to find the device. Similar to google solution. 3) It must not show notification when you find the phone. 4) Ideally I can find the phone from another phone. No no 3rd party websites needed. Reason why I want app similar to this, is because sometimes my child does not pick up his phone, for numerous reasons. And I want to check he is safe, and where is supposed to be, without panicking. Thanks [link] [comments] |
