Y740 Laptop won't boot on sundays Posted: 02 Aug 2020 09:50 AM PDT Yes you read the title correctly. So I've had this laptop for a month, and 2 sundays in a row (June 26th 22:41, and today, August 2nd 15:17) it's randomly shut off and it won't boot after. Last time it happened it wouldn't boot until the morning after. The computer just displays this message: "Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed Insert Recovery Media and Hit any key Then select 'boot manager' to choose a new boot device or to boot recovery media" I really don't wanna reinstall windows, can anyone help me? WIN10- Green screen of death (?) when booting CS:GO. Posted: 02 Aug 2020 01:24 PM PDT Hey guys, whenever booting into CS:GO on my Windows 10 PC (Specs: r5 2600, RX5700 MSI gaming X, 16gb ddr4 3000mhz, msi b450 tomahawk max) my monitors flash green before turning a solid green and going into standby. I have tried to validate game files with the steam utlity, and have tried reinstalling the game too, but with no success. Any ideas on what could be the issue here, and what could solve it? How Do I Change Mouse Polling Rate? Posted: 02 Aug 2020 01:23 PM PDT Hello! For a bit of unnecessary backstory, my mouse seems to flick randomly a lot in a certain game, and players have reported that changing the polling rate seems to fix it. So I downloaded the mouse software, but there doesn't seem to be an option for polling rate? Am I missing something? I use a Redragon Centrophorus M601-3. Any help would be appreciated! Posted: 02 Aug 2020 09:20 AM PDT I've had this problem with Skype for awhile. I know it's not a computer issue because I recently bought this gaming laptop a year ago. Same situation with my boyfriend as well, he bought a DELL laptop recently. My issue is that no matter what my bf screen shares it's always laggy or delayed. Whether we are watching a show or a YouTube video, or playing a game both the sound and the video are not in sync, laggy and messy. But here's something I found that fixes the issue which is weird. It fixes it based on the way I answer a Skype call. So if my boyfriend is the one who's calling me, I have to answer the call through the Windows 10 desktop notification popup. On this computer, when someone is calling me through Skype, it shows me in different ways. If I'm not directly inside Skype, a Skype popup will appear in the center showing if I should answer or decline the call. AND, a Windows 10 notification popup appears at the side giving me the option to answer the call as well. Instead of answering the Skype popup notification, I have to answer the call popup that appears in my Windows 10 desktop. For example, he calls me, a call popup appears at the side in my Windows desktop notification section. When I answer that way, it fixes all those issues. But if I answer directly in the app or through a Skype popup instead of the Windows notification popup, it won't work. It's a bit hard to explain. But overall, there's two different ways for me to answer a Skype call. Through a Skype popup notification or a Windows 10 popup notification (where the system itself is detecting a call I guess). If I don't do the latter, all my video chatting experienced is screwed up. Now you may ask, why am I here if I have this solution? Because for some reason, I cannot answer a Skype call through the Windows desktop notifications anymore. Only a popup directly from Skype appears now. The Windows desktop doesn't even alert me when someone sends a message anymore either. All popup notifications are now directly from Skype. Now I'm back to this laggy bullshit. Everything in the notification section for my laptop is turned on for Skype. I cannot figure out why this is happening. No Skype notifications or popup appear in the corner of my Windows 10 desktop anymore. And I'm so freakin upset because this was what fixed my issues. Does anyone have any ideas? I have the latest version of Skype. [link] [comments]
How can I have around 100 chrome users open on my pc without it crashing? Posted: 02 Aug 2020 08:04 AM PDT I want to have around 100 different chrome users open 24/7 with just the same website open on each. Would a server or something be able to run all the chrome users for me? [link] [comments]

PC has given me 5+ BSOD errors when I try to boot. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 09:11 PM PDT My pc has started giving me a series of error messages such as CRITICAL PROCESS DIED, DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL (what failed: amdppm.sys/hidusb.sys), PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (what failed:Ntfs.sys/win32kbase.sys), MEMORY MANAGEMENT, UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP (what failed: win32k.sys), INTERRUPT EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED, ATTEMPTED EXECUTE OF NO EXECUTE MEMORY, SYSTEM SEVICE EXCEPTION (what failed: Cl.dll), PFN_LIST_CORRUPT, KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION, BAD POOL CALLER (only happened once). I did some googling and for most of these problems I found that the issue could be my RAM or my drivers. I ran the Windows 10 driver verifier and got the error code DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION. I thought surely the driver must be the problem but this BSOD caused by running the verifier wouldn't let me boot my computer because it would detect the faulty driver and give me the BSOD over and over. I reinstalled windows to no avail, the BSOD still remained. I moved on to trying to see if my RAM was the problem. I ran the memory diagnostic tool by windows and within a few minutes, it said that there was a hardware problem with my ram. Unfortunately, I was never able to actually finish running the test because it kept freezing at random times. The weird thing is that I was getting these exact same error messages a few weeks ago, but they seemed to have solved themselves for a while and they only returned today. I have also tried booting into safe mode but that gives me another error code and at this point, I don't know what to do. Does anyone know what I could do? Any help at all would be appreciated.
