    Mi A2 Lite won't boot

    Posted: 20 May 2020 09:53 PM PDT

Hi all, my Mi A2 Lite suddenly turned off and cannot boot.

Whenever I pressed the on button it will boot for a few seconds (black screen with no logo) and then it will turn off again. I already test the other button combination to boot it recovery mode (power and volume up button) but to no avail.

Nevertheless, whenever I pressed the on button once (tapping on it like waking the phone from sleep) the led response with a blink.

Can anyone help me with this?

    Thank you

    Can't get pics/videos (MMS)

    Posted: 20 May 2020 06:33 PM PDT

When I first got my Xiaomi mix 3, it worked flawlessly. However I can no longer receive images or videos through text, and people have to send them through Snapchat or something else. It's been like this for like 5 months and I haven't cared enough to fix it, but I just discovered I cant view or interact with group chats im in either. Anybody know what's going on?

MIUI 12 Themes for Xiaomi Devices running MIUI 12

    Posted: 20 May 2020 09:25 PM PDT

Found some good collection of MIUI 12 themes for Xiaomi phones. If your device is running on MIUI 12, then you may download and try out these MIUI 12 themes here. I have tried few of them and they worked fine on my Redmi phone running on MIUI 12 Rom.

Here is the source link for MIUI 12 Themes : https://www.miuithemez.com/2020/05/best-miui-12-themes-collection-for-miui-12-devices.html

    Battery draining rapidly

    Posted: 20 May 2020 07:54 PM PDT

It's been few days, after the latest update (11.0.6) on Redmi 7, the battery % is draining rapidly. Charged up to 98% last night and when I woke up at the morning, it was 74%. It lost 24% overnight. The phone is 6-7 months old. It's my dad's phone and he only uses Facebook and Messenger.

Before update (11.0.3) the battery backup was phenomenal like charge up to 100% before sleeping & wake up with 100% at morning with Wifi always on. There is not much of the app so backup was great.

Please bring an update to fix this.

Redmi Note 8 Audio Quality Sucks

    Posted: 20 May 2020 06:28 PM PDT

I don't know, whenever I use wired earphones the sound seems kind of muffled. Or like I can't pick out certain sounds unless I put the volume on max. I came from a vivo v7 before I lost it. Does anyone else have issues with the audio quality?

NFC alternatives question and some more

    Posted: 20 May 2020 03:53 PM PDT

    Hi everyone.

I have Xiaomi Mi Note 3. A few weeks ago I have noticed for battery issues. The phone couldn't charge and if it did the battery drained after a min of use.

I put it at the lab who is in charge of fixing it ( I still have warranty).

After 3 weeks I got a call. The lab representative told me they can't fix my phone. They just can't. I guess they can't get the necessary parts for a 2 years phone.

So, as part of the warranty, in case they unable to fix it the must give me a new phone that would be equivalent to the one I have it terms of specifications and price. If they can't offer such device they need to give me my money back.

Due to the Corona they have only one model to offer, Redmi Note 7. This model is half the price I paid for my Mi note 3 and also a downgrade in terms of specs.

Although this device is weaker (Mainly in RAM) I almost agreed for the deal cause I need a phone, but I just figured it doesn't have NFC. Which I absolutely need. So I have 2 questions :

    1. Should I get the Redmi Note 7 anyway?
    2. If the answer on 1 is Yes, what are my options with NFC? Can I get NFC dongle from Amazon?

    Thx!

Help with the mi fit app

    Posted: 20 May 2020 03:26 PM PDT

    Hi guys,

I recently changed phones to the Redmi note 9s. I was quite excited about it, but for some reason my mi band 4 doesn't seem to work properly. The notifications aren't working properly. I've already disabled the option for saving battery, it seemed to work but then it goes back to not working. When i go to the setting on the mi fit app it says that I haven't granted access to the notifications but I have. I don't know what to do and was wondering if anyone has experienced the same or could help me out.

    Thank you

Xiaomi Mi8 battery is slowly dying, looking for a replacement phone

    Posted: 20 May 2020 08:15 AM PDT

So my Mi8 battery is slowly but surly dying as I barely get 4:30hrs of SoT. Other than that I'm pretty satisfied with it after year and a half of use.

My question is, what sort of replacement phone should I buy, my main priorities are:

    • good cameras (IOS preferred, not a must)
    • under 500€
    • decent CPU similar to Mi8
    • good battery with at least 7hrs of SoT for standard usage

So far I'm looking at Poco F2 Pro and Mi Note 10, but I'm not sure if I should wait a little longer for Xiaomi to introduce new phones or not.

Additional note, I don't game much, so I don't really need to have high end performance, just want smooth system with social media / browsing.

    Any tips?

Question regarding AOD in MIUI 11/12

    Posted: 20 May 2020 01:54 PM PDT

    Hi,

I'm looking forward to buy a Xiamoi phone in the near future but I'm worried about losing the LED notification in my current phone & I'm the type of person who ususally unlock his phone only when there are notifications, so I wanna ask:

Does MIUI have the option of having AOD ONLY activated when there is (are) notification(s) that kicked in? and after checking these notifications, the AOD should turn it off by itself (in a similar behavior to LED notification).

The purpose of this question is that I don't want AOD to be running 24/7 coz I barely get notifications, and at the same time, I don't want to turn AOD off completely which will make me unable to know what notifications I got without unlocking the phone first.

Why the prices are not dropping even with new phones being released?

    Posted: 20 May 2020 01:54 PM PDT

I wanted a Mi 9 for a long time and didn't buy it only because I couldn't spend so much at the time, buying a Redmi Note 8 Pro instead. I bought my Note 8 Pro in Brazil for ~R$ 1700, the Mi 9 was at R$ 1999 at the time (around January). Now I was thinking about maybe selling my Note 8 Pro and paying the difference for the Mi 9, because I like the AMOLED screens, but the phone is around R$ 3000 now, like when it was first released. Even the Mi 9T is R$ 2500, a friend bought his for R$ 1800 around January too. So why are the prices SO HIGH again, when we can already buy a Mi Note 10 or Redmi Note 9 for a similar price? Is this related to the Brand itself or is It the companies trying to take advantage of this pandemic?
