Just got the S20+ and the earbuds plus. It is the exynos version. Many people are having some problems with the exynos variant. So, can you guys tell me how I can test my phone. What is the normal SoT for S20plus exynos, what games I can play to check how hot the phone gets.

Why Samsung? Why make it so we can't see the battery life of individual buds anymore? This is horrible.

    A51 - A major upgrade?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2020 06:01 AM PDT

    Hey folks,

My Iphone 6S is on its last legs. The battery is absolutely fried, the screen is cracked, and I know it's not wise to invest money into it because it likely won't be updated much longer.

IPhone SE is compelling in a lot of ways, but the small battery kills it for me.

After watching a ton of reviews, it seems like the A51 would be a good choice for me. I'm not a gamer, but I use my phone a lot for web browsing, watching YouTube and Netflix, and taking pics of my young son. I want a battery that will last a full day without issues.

I'm in Canada so I can't buy a Xiaomi unless I resort to a less reputable seller.... Aliexpress etc. I'm not comfortable with that, and I'm not sure that the bands that most widely used near me are available on Xiaomi phones.

I consider the lifetime of a phone to be two years. My wife and I rarely if ever get more than that out of them, regardless of which manufacturer. Charging issues, battery issues, screens, dead phones; something always happens.

So, with all this in mind, is the A51 a good fit for me? I can get it for $384.00 right now. I can also get the A71 for $480.00, but I would really like to keep the cost under $400.

    Thanks for your answers!

Is "What's on my screen?" working for any Galaxy users?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2020 05:21 AM PDT

After some research online, it appears the "What's on my screen?" feature in Google Assistant is not working for many Galaxy users for months. Can you please check and confirm if it's working for you?

Giving my note 8 to my dad once note 20 comes out?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2020 01:23 AM PDT

I've been debating if i should just exchange it for some cost reduction or give to my dad.

I bought it new 2 years ago so it will be approximately 2 and half years old once i buy new one.

So far battery seems solid and there have been just a slight burn in but other than that it runs as new.

So question is now if he should just buy new phone or will this one serve him few more years?

What is the 2020 equivalent to the Samsung A3?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2020 05:09 AM PDT

I liked this phone, it is small and light and good quality and affordable.

Looks like they don't do new A3 models, so what is today's equivalent from Samsung?

    thanks

Is the s20+ exynos really that bad? What's the battery life and will it overheat and throttle ?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2020 08:06 AM PDT

I have to get rid of my current phone (Galaxy j7) everything about it is extremely bad ( exept the amoled which is quite decent and has no burn ins after more than 4 years of heavy full brightness use by my dad). In fact, this phone js so bad that it makes me hate using a phone even though im a huge fan of smartphones and tech in general.

So i have $900 to spend on a phone and the galaxy s20+ is sold for $900 including shipping and taxes. Problem is it's exynos and this year i haven't hearda single good thing about it.

exynos s20+ owners, hows the device overall? Is it worth $900 and will it survive a day of heavy use on 120hz?. Should i go for the oneplus 7t or mi 10 instead?

What's the best improvement/advantage you had by switching to Galaxy?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2020 07:53 AM PDT

I have switched from iPhone X to Galaxy S20 Ultra and enjoying long battery life(4 hours -> 12~16 hours), large storage(256GB -> 1TB with SD card), some Android perks like transfering files without iTunes, etc. What do you enjoy on your new phone after switching to a Galaxy phone? Just curious!
