OnePlus on Twitter: OnePlus 7T Pro incoming?

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 06:20 AM PDT

After iOS 12 killed my SE's battery, I finally made the jump to OnePlus. I do not regret it for a second.

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 02:45 PM PDT

This phone (5T 64gb) is the bollocks. Whilst it's not necessarily one of the newer models, it runs like a dream thanks to OxygenOS, and the battery life is insane. I'm constantly getting one and a half, if not two days out of it, with a consistent six hours screen time. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Op 7 Pro keeps getting screen glitches on the upper right side.

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 12:50 AM PDT

Noticed this whenever the phone gets hot or playing videos or multitasking. I can't seem to capture it in screen record so I took it from another phone. Any ideas what might be causing it? Should I wait for update to fix this or claim warranty?

    Pic of how it looks.

    Battery deteriorating problem

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 04:42 AM PDT

So my battery has become a bit deteriorated and i sent oneplus a email asking for where i should send my phone for a warranty repair, instead of telling me where i could fix my phone they told me to completely drain the phone and then charge it to 100% and repeat 3 times.

This seems useless and even counter intuitive, how can it fix a deteriorated battery, and draining it empty deteriorates it even more.

    Help plz.

New OnePlus 7 Pro – and it only has Widevine L3?

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 09:35 PM PDT

I would appreciate some help with an issue that I'm having, if anyone else knows the answer or has encountered this themselves. I have a OnePlus 7 Pro running stock OxygenOS, and which to my knowledge, had never had its bootloader unlocked.

I noticed using the DRM Info app that the Widevine status is L3 for some inexplicable reason. I did a factory reset, unlocked and relocked the bootloader (at OnePlus' suggestion), but it's to no avail – it's still showing as L3. Shows in Netflix look horrible, which basically confirms that the applications correctly seeing it as L3. I even used the MSM Download Tool to do a complete flash, and it's still on L3.

Has anyone come across this before? The device is not rooted, running stock firmware, and does not have an unlocked bootloader. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Do not use Red Pocket (Verizon) if you have a Oneplus phone

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 07:05 PM PDT

Been fighting these idiots for 3 hours. In order to get through step 2 of activating my account I have to call any number and dial 1 for English, for some stupid fucking reason. It gives you an error and hangs up on you.

3 hours later and they tell me it's my phone's fault and it's not recognizing the sim card. I don't know how you can even say that with a straight face as support when the phone can CLEARLY call the number and get the voice prompt, when it shows VoLTE on the very top, and I can send and receive text messages, but I have NO DATA or Calling capabilities.

    Slow internet speeds

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 05:40 PM PDT

Hello all, I just received my new one plus 7 pro yesterday. My internet speeds seem to be stuck between 60 and 70 kbs. I am in roaming at work but have always been able to watch 720 and 1080p videos on YouTube with with my galaxy s8 while roaming at work. I was also able to download apps from Google play at 7MB/s from work while roaming on my galaxy s8. I have seen a few unresolved issue on the one plus forums popping up around July. Does anyone have any more information that might help me? If this is a ongoing problem I might have to return this and wait for the pixel 4 but I really love the size and look of this screen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all.

Is the Oneplus 7T vibration motor the same as Oneplus 7 Pro? Conflicting opinions

    Posted: 30 Sep 2019 10:03 PM PDT

Can we get a definitive answer on whether the 7T shares the same vibration motor as the 7 Pro? There have been conflicting sources about this topic in reviews.

The OnePlus 7T also picks up the vibration motor from the OnePlus 7 Pro, which means you get much better haptics

    Source: https://www.androidcentral.com/oneplus-7t-vs-oneplus-7

"If there is a difference in vibration motors (haptic feedback) between the OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7T, said difference is not significant. I would not be shocked to find that they're using the exact same hardware for touch vibration.

OnePlus suggests that this device is "upgraded with an independent haptic driver" and that it's "more powerful, accurate, and satisfying." Compared to the OnePlus 6 and/or 6T (and previous OnePlus phones), the haptic vibration in the OnePlus 7T has improved a significant amount."

    Source: https://www.slashgear.com/oneplus-7t-review-even-better-26592961/

OnePlus also brought the same high-quality vibration motor that debuted in the 7 Pro, along with the excellent optical in-display fingerprint sensor — two small additions that have an outsized influence on the experience.

    Source: https://www.androidcentral.com/oneplus-7t-review

The vibration motor, or the haptic motor has also been upgraded. Its different feeling from the 6T, it's not as powerful or nice feeling as the OP7 Pro, but its not as buzzy etc.

    Source: Dave2D: https://youtu.be/vcYlYRRHsCI?t=232

A big improvement on the 7T is undoubtedly the haptics, as the device has a brand new haptic motor for even more satisfying buzzes and vibrations. It doesn't quite reach the quality offered by the OnePlus 7 Pro but it is a major step up over the buzzy, hollow-feeling OnePlus 6T.

    A new problem with Gboard

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 09:46 AM PDT

Since this morning my Gboard (keyboard) is fcked up. It doesn't show me any autocorrect options or word options in my primary system language (German). That's really annoying since it worked fine yesterday. I'm on the OnePlus 5t with stock oxygen OS on the latest update. Anyone has the same problem or a tip?

I also already tried to get rid of English as a system language but then Gboard does nothing in regards of autocorrect or word recommendation

OnePlus 7 Pro not charging while powered on

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 02:50 AM PDT

    I have Android 10 Beta 2

With the official cable/adapter it charges all the time, but when I use other cables/chargers it's only charging when I turn off the device.

I already bought a new cable, and it's also doing the same when connected to a laptop via USB C.

When I power off the device, it charges

When it's on, it sometimes charges, but sometimes no

    Can anybody help me?

    EDIT:

    I installed Ampere.

Sometimes it says 60ma, sometimes more.

Does the OnePlus 7 pro gm1910 work on Verizon?

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 04:17 PM PDT

Long story short, I bought the Chinese version off of an Amazon third party seller. It was branded simply as the international unlocked version, so I didn't think i would encounter any problems, as I've heard that the phone will work if CDMA functions are turned off on verizons end, though I don't know if that is dependent on the model.

I received the phone today in the mail, and on the front there is a big sticker warning that the phone is not compatible with Verizon or Sprint. Being that a large portion of companies aren't exactly caught up with the technicalities of each smart phone they sell, I figure that the sticker could simply be wrong. Can anybody confirm this for me, or do I have to return the phone and exchange for another model?

Broken OP 3T shows up as CD drive on Windows 10

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 11:57 AM PDT

So I dropped my 3T a couple days ago and shattered the screen. It's black and doesn't turn on. I can tell the phone is still working (kinda I guess) because when try to charge it the notification LED lights up.

There are some photos I would like to copy to my computer but when I plug it in it shows up as a CD drive. I know normally when plugging the phone into my pc it asks what kind of connection I want to establish but now I can't select anything because my screen is broken. Is there any way to get around this so I can get data off of my phone?

    Thanks in advance.

    7pro Notifications

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 03:16 PM PDT

My phone keeps making the vibration for notifications even when there's no notifications on my screen and even when I've set it to silent. I checked online but there's nothing. It happens mostly when watching videos on YouTube.

Best way/model to get in Brazil

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 02:23 PM PDT

    Hey guys,

I left my Samsung S8 in a random Taxi cab. Its gone forever.

Well now Im looking to replace it with another and I found out about OnePlus. Their cellphones are gorgeous, the price is fair IMO, and they got incredible specs.

The one Im looking into is the OnePlus 7 pro or the 7t pro (which has not been released yet)

OnePlus doesnt exist officially in Brasil so i will have to buy it outside the country or buy from a Import company.

Which characteristic I should pay atention to garantee that it will work in my country? Does It must be unlocked to work with my country's providers?

Do you recommend buying a phone that doesnt provide technical support? I never even cracked a screen, Ive been an iphone user all my life, and a samsung user for 2 years, never broke any cellphone.

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 07:36 AM PDT

I don't know if this is a OnePlus 7pro display sensitivity issue or just Instagram being bad.

But must of the time when I encounter one of those multi picture posts on Instagram I can only see the first picture because I can't scroll horizontally to the next picture

Do not buy a OneOlus if you plan on playing any games on it!

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 08:49 PM PDT

Every time you launch a game the phone starts showing off a COMMERICAL BANNER to inform the user that they are working together with fnatic (some counter strike team) this goes on for 5 seconds EVERY TIME YOU SWITCH TO ANY GAME!

The kind of logic to show a big screen pop-up for this long just to inform the user that you can now enjoy your game WITHOUT POPUPS is mind blowing.

My only guess is that it is related to some weakness in their hardware - why else would this exists? But they have not been able to solve this for a year, which leads to this sincerest recommendation not to buy a OnePlus if you plan on using your phone for gaming.

Call recording prevents sim card detection (6T)

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 05:28 AM PDT

My t-mobile 6t, (converted to international) won't let me enable the call recorder built into OOS. When I do it shows both sim slots as empty. When I disable it and restart it goes back to normal.

I've tried to Google this, but nothing brought up any helpful info.

And yes, it's legal in my area. (one party consent)

    Rooted (magisk) , OOS 9.0.16, international rom, t-mobile sim, 8gb 128gb version.
