    [Request] Balanced Card Games?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 07:47 PM PDT

So I'm looking for something that allows me to play around with different strategies and rely on purely skill alone, instead of having the best deck, or paying money to get ahead. Preferably with no random card packs or anything, unless I can still get them easily without spending money.

Need games that can be played with no internet connection, and that can be played in 5-10 min intervals

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 04:39 PM PDT

Preferably these games would be played the right way up on the phone (not in landscape mode) as I find it uncomfortable to play in Landscape.

[Double Request] Games for couples to play and Games for my nostalgia

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 08:30 PM PDT

    Scenario A:
Looking for games for me and my girlfriend to play

    -Can be competitive or co-op

    -Turn-Based without instance

-Genre is irrelevant, can be board game, rpg, action, etc

Meaning she can pick up and play and resume where she was, or if it's her turn and she has to work, she can put down the phone and the game won't disconnect or she won't feel pressured to take her turn

We're currently playing Words with Friends 2, but we used to play the Star Wars Moba when we lived together. So if possible a turn based rpg that saves instances/pick up when it's your turn would be ideal.. But I know that's gonna be hard.

    Scenario B:

Looking for classic rts/rpg games for myself. I'm a huge fan of Divinity II: Original Sin, so turn-based games would be awesome. Doesn't have to be stuck to it.

I also played a lot of KOTOR on Android. Baldur's Gate I & II are already on my list!

    Games you've finished?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 11:05 PM PDT

I've found that most of the mobile games I pick up are structured in a way to have awesome initial impressions, eventually teetering off into an endless grind. As a result, I've started so many games and never saw them through to actual completion.

Which games have you played the entire way through and would recommend? How long did it take you?

Would you like to see a gaming controller like this for your phone? Keep the device weight balance in mind.

    Is Final Fantasy 1 fixed?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 10:00 PM PDT

So, I'm planning on acquiring the entire FF collection available on my phone, obviously, beginning with the first one. However, I have seen A LOT of threads talking about how bad the port is in terms of bugs and crashes. I downloaded an apk to try it and see it for myself, and indeed, the game crashes with the first "boss' fight (tried reinstalling the apk from different pages. All of them with the same problem). However, most of those threads are kinda old, and the apk version downloaded was also kinda outdated so, can someone that has the app confirm if is worth buying the thing as for 2019?

    Heroism - Wizard update

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 06:24 AM PDT

    Hey everybody,

Here's an update to my hobby project, Heroism.

    Background

A couple of years ago, I saw the Pellet Quest game mechanic idea on squidi.net.

Right away I thought about how you could make a cool hybrid RPG/Incremental game where you kind of play two different games at the same time.

On one hand, you play a regular RPG, and on the other, you have this incremental game based on those pellets (Heroism) on the ground.

The character automatically picks up the Heroism orbs that he walks near.

You can spend the Heroism on lots of different heroism upgrades that increase how much heroism you earn as you continue exploring dungeons.

I made the experience points you get from killing monsters also behave like an incremental currency, where you can spend XP on increasing the value of experience orbs or to leveling your character.

For fun, I made character death be a way to earn more currency, and included a death point system.

Anyway, please check it out and let me know what you think.

    Wizard

This update is mostly to test out the new Wizard character. I'm not 100% happy with his spells. I like chain lightning and 'death blast', but the other two spells don't seem to be as fun.
I'm hoping to get some good feedback with ideas on how to improve things.

The wizard's spells are powered by his wand. If he equips a fire wand, then his spells will be fire based (E.G. fire lightning). Ice wand = ice lightning.

    Spells:

    • Lightning - standard wizard spell. Upgrade this spell to have lightning arc between monsters.

    • Death Blast - When the wizard kills a monster, it explodes and damages/kills other nearby monsters. Those killed monsters also cause an explosion. Lots of big chain reaction when the spell is upgraded. Gets kind of crazy when combined with chain lightning.

    • Deadly Gas - Expanding trail of fire/ice/shock/poison follows wizard. You can run around the monsters and the gas consumes them.

    • Hailstorm - Blasts of magic shoot out from the wizard in random directions. When upgrades you get more and more blasts ricochetin off walls and destroying everything.

Here's a short gameplay video of the Wizard.

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 10:24 AM PDT

Looking for games like flow or bridges, also wanted to ask about the best Sudoku app out there (which one do you consider the best, both gameplay wise and learning wise).

The simpler the game, the better. No fancy graphics please.

    Is Fate:Grand Order actually good?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 10:58 PM PDT

I was looking through the FAQ at the top lists of each year and saw that it had like 5x the votes of everything else, but there was a bunch of drama in the comments over some sort of brigading? Overall I just can't tell if the comments saying that it was good were from this subreddit's subscribers, or from subscribers of the FGO subreddit.

    Mmorpg

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 10:42 AM PDT

Hi guys, this has probably been asked few times already but I can't find it. Wondering which is the best mmorpg to play on mobile. I personally don't care if its auto or not. My friend recommended me World of Kings. I played for some time Lineage (as I used to play lots on PC years ago).

Do you have any recommendation? Any of you are playing WoK?

    Cheers fellas

Is Dragon Quest V better on Android or should I just stick to emulating it through drastic?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 09:52 AM PDT

Been joining for some DQ action but DQ1 isn't doing it for me and I'm not digging VIII. Is V worth a go? And which version of it?

    [REQUEST] Roguelite/Roguelike games similar Sproggiwood?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 05:55 AM PDT

I purchased it while on sale a few weeks and I really been enjoying. I been wondering if there's any other similar games available on Android?

    1) Paid games, but willing to look at F2P titles
    2) Turn Based is preferred

    3) Graphics not very important, Tales of Maj'Eyal is one of my favorites on PC.

GTA VC vs GTA SA (technical question)

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 09:58 AM PDT

Some I time ago I bought VC for Android, but I found the game nearly unplayable because of the rendering distance for cars. Everytime I would crash into something because of cars popping up in the streets just a few meters away. Found out this seems to be hardcoded and there is no way to change it. Now I'm considering buying GTA SA and don't know if there is a similar problem. Everyone here who owns SA or both games can compare both games
