How do I fix this? Is it a bug in MIUI itself?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 08:51 PM PDT

I recently got the Redmi K20 Pro. I'm using Lawnchair since I hate the limitations of the default launcher. I set up a double tap to sleep gesture for my launcher but on doing so, the accessibility window pops up even though it has the required permissions. Turning it off and on again, fixes the issue temporarily. After about an hour or so, I have to repeat the entire steps in order to get it to work again. Is there a fix for this?

    A2 lite back button fix!

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 09:15 PM PDT

Alot of us have been super annoyed with accidently hitting the back button, because someone forgot to put padding on it. Here's a workaround that fixes the issue completely.

1: Install Custom Navigation Bar by Paphonb 2: Grant the permission that it asks for with ADB or root(I use ADB without root) 3: Inside the app go to Navbar Settings -> Extra left button -> keyboard switcher

Boom, fixed. If you have multiple keyboards installed, it might switch your keyboard when you hit the corner area, but I just stick with the default keyboard and the button left corner now has null padding. Enjoy.

Does unlocking your bootloader void warranty?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 03:04 PM PDT

I just bought a Mi 9 from Amazon.de (I live in Germany). Im thinking about unlocking it. I read on xda that some people got a response from Xiaomi that unlocking does not void warranty and some got a response that it will. Are there any final word on this? Does anyone have any links regarding to this topic for europe?

Who has the best GCAM out there for the Xiaomi Mi9T?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 08:48 PM PDT

If you have a Xiaomi Mi9T and you haven't installed GCAM yet, you're doing yourself a disservice. Go ahead and download it. Trust me, the night sight shots alone are worth it.

With that out of the way, whose GCAM mod do you think performs the best? Urnyx05, xtrme, or san1ty? And which library do you use?

    Opinions appreciated!

Redmi 6 pro stuck at mi screen.

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 07:52 PM PDT

I am not into flashing etc so this just happened out of nowhere. Just grabbed my phone and it was off. I thought it was the battery but I charged it today. When I tried to open it goes to mi screen and then turns off.

I believe I need to restore the official firmware somehow for my phone to boot again but I have no clue? Is there any guide? Its not the chinese version.

Near bricked my Xiaomi Redmi note 4

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 02:54 PM PDT

Hi, I wanted to root my redmi note 4 and install custom ROM, but despite the fact that I was following instructions, I ran into a bunch of problems, all the ways I looked on google did not solve the problem so far so here it is.

I ran TWRP to install custom ROM , but got errors 7 and 255, error 7 is easily resolvable on most custom ROMs as I found out, but I can not do anything about it in case I want to install stock ROM again and the reason why I tried doing that is I cannot use my phone anymore, I can install lineage OS which works sort of, although with obvious bugs and I can not use any connection neither WIFI nor SIM card nor Bluetooth, nothing, and upon trying to install I tried to instal AOSP ROM at first, but it doesn't work for some reason and I did backup before trying to meddle with my device but I can not restore it fully due to this ERROR: 255 which I get if am trying to restore Data and/or Firmware, despite that Stock ROM kinda boots, but I can not use it since I cannot use SIM card or WIFI, thus cannot connect to the internet and that seems to be essential in order to identify that I am the owner of the device, without it I have no access to the device options and control except the ones that are supposed to allow me to connect to the internet, but something is wrong and I can not do that.

Redmi note 7 tempered glass advise.

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 02:18 PM PDT

Hi guys. Yesterday i have bought a xiaomi redmi note 7. I wanted to know which is the best screen protector. I have seen 2 the normal that doesnt protect all the screen (borders) and the more expensive one that has black corners and protect full screen (there is 5d, 9d, 11d). I have read too that pple say with the one with black corner it cover part of the screen and is a problem the dust in the camera.

I dont know what to do, I'm from Argentina and here you dont have so many options.

    Thank you guys

Xiaomi Mi Beard Trimmer ($17) Mini Review

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 11:02 AM PDT

This trimmer has been covered extensively by Youtubers so check those out too. It's available only in amazon India for now and I bought mine after my shitty trimmer went kaput. So here are my thoughts after using it for a couple of times.

    • The body is build really well and feels great in the hands. The plastic used is smooth to touch as nice to hold. The combs however are really flimsy and it feels like they might break with little to no effort.
    • The blade is made of stainless steel and are quite sharp. I've seen one or two split ends but it's nothing major
    • The rotating dial to set desired length is easy to use.
    • Power button has a nice click to it but it's position is a major flaw and my biggest issue with it. My thumb is naturally placed on the button as I trim my beard and I keep accidentally pressing and turning it off.
    • Battery life is rated for 90 minutes and I haven't used the trimmer enough to test its validity.
    • It charges via a usb cable coupled with a proprietary connector. Charger is not included. It really should have been a usb type c connector much like their electric shavers but alas.
    • Some amazon reviews mention the blade overheating to the point it gets uncomfortably hot to touch. That's not the case with my trimmer but don't take my word for it.

Replacement batteries aren't reporting full capacity, anyone else?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 10:38 AM PDT

So I bought a replacement battery for my Redmi note 5 Pro, and after trying it out for a week, while letting it go from 100 to 0% various times, accubattery kept reporting that the battery only has around 2000 mAh. Screen on times also confirmed it, with me barely hitting 5:30 hours with normal usage, sometimes even less than 5 hours.

So I messaged the seller and they sent me another battery, and that battery also only has around 2000 mAh capacity.

Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone else bought a replacement battery, and did you have a good experience? I'm sure I'm not plugging the connector wrong, because my old battery reports around 3000 mAh (which is why I wanted a fresh, 4000 mAh battery, since the original had degraded 1000 mAh capacity)

People using Lineage, is it safe to install the unofficial Lineage ROM?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 03:20 PM PDT

I have a Redmi Note 7, which doesn't have an official Lineage build yet (no idea why even though the Pro does).

I've installed a custom ROM before (Moto G4+) and this would be my second time doing it. However, that time it was an official version, so I don't know if it is safe to get the unofficial one considering the number of things that could go wrong.

Also I still haven't really figured out the process to unlock the bootloader and if it voids the warranty, I'd be glad if someone could help me with that.

    Pocophone F1 Ghost Touch

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 02:13 PM PDT

I have problems with ghost touch on this phone, after updating to 10.3.6.0 ghost touch kinda disappeared and after a couple days it happens again... I tried turning off " MIUI Optimization " in developer options and i also tried turning off the 3 fingers screenshot thing, but it still occurs like crazy. Mostly happens when i chat with someone and then it touches the "video call" option in the chat. Im tired of calling people on WA or Instagram because of the ghost touch...

Also ghost touch happend before 10.3.6.0 as well.

Redmi K20 Pro (Mi 9t pro) vs Mi 9 Vs Oneplus 7 .

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 02:10 PM PDT

Hello guys, I've been looking to get a new phone, I've been searching for like 5 days now, I had a very big list then I kept on eliminating then I settled for those three.

Here in my country every phone with warranty they add like 120$ more, but if you buy the phone from unofficial stores it would be 120$ less. Oneplus 6t and 7 pro are available but I can't afford them, if I want to buy the Oneplus 7 it will be unofficial with like (600$) maybe a little less. The Mi 9 is available I can get it from the official store with (540$) and unofficial for maybe (490$). It's negotiable if Redmi K20 Pro (Mi 9t pro) will ever be released here so I don't know what to do!

Xiaomi Mi9 got me worried because the battery thing the notification thing and they say unstable software (MiUi10)

people say one plus cause the (OxygenOs) but the camera is better in Mi9

some people say go with Oneplus 7, some people say go with Mi9 and the third party say Redmi K20 Pro (Mi 9t pro) is better than both and you must wait I don't know who to believe and what to do ?

I don't even know which is better is Redmi K20 Pro (Mi 9t pro) worth the wait ? is it better than Oneplus 7 and Mi9 ?

and which is better Mi9 or Oneplus 7 ? and why ?

Xiaomi Mi9 (540$) from official store.

Oneplus 7 (600$) from unofficial store.

Redmi K20 Pro (Mi 9t pro) ( I don't know it's price yet) would be from unofficial store also.

Thank you, I really appreciate your help.
