Posted: 31 Jul 2019 11:42 AM PDT Hi everyone! This is my first post here... I have recently bought an HP Pavilion notebook with an i7, nvidia geforce 250 mx and a 256 GB SSD. The notebook is new and I have it since a month. It started making a strange noise, like a hum, coming from the top part of the keyboard, and it makes louder when the fans spin faster...what could it be? [link] [comments] |
Where are USB drivers stored, why does my external HDD keep dis and reconnecting? Posted: 31 Jul 2019 10:08 AM PDT Whenver I plug a thumb drive in my laptop says it is installing drivers. If i plug it into a different port, then it says that its installing a driver for that port. Is there a list on my laptop of all the different thumb drive drivers ive had installed in my ports, and not just the current ones inside it? Is there something wrong with my laptop? COuld this be related to the fact the last few years or so my external WD HDD keeps disocnnecting and reconnecting randomly? Been happening since I got Windows 10. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jul 2019 12:18 AM PDT Been trying to recover family photo's from a hard drive and somehow it got corrupted. Anytime I try to open it, it crashes windows explorer. Used easeUS partition recovery to try and get it back. It got to 100% scan and it's telling me to select the partition I want to recover but it's not letting me do that. Is there anything I can do to get these files back? [link] [comments] |

No sound from my new mainboard Posted: 31 Jul 2019 03:16 AM PDT I got myself a new Mainboard along with a cpu and RAM. The mainboard is the X570 Aorus Elite. I installed the official Realtek driver from their site and from the disk. I reinstalled windows twice. The onboard sound chip is enabled. Nothing about Realtek is showing up in my device manager. I can only select my monitor for audio output via HDMI. It feels so much like a software error but if nothing works I would just get a replacement for my board. Anything I could do to solve the issue? [link] [comments] |
How do I remove google+ from an android tablet? Posted: 31 Jul 2019 03:14 AM PDT My mom gave me her old tablet and I don't really know anything about smart devices as I'm more into computers. google+ is telling me that I need to update the app to use it but the update isn't compatible with my device. I don't want to use google+ anyways but when I try to remove it, it tells me I can only reinstall the version the device originally had. Can I remove it or is google forcing the app on my device? Nearly Year Long Input Lag Problem Posted: 30 Jul 2019 09:54 PM PDT I've had input lag in my mouse for 8 months. On several different pc's with different mice and different keyboards. I used different monitors all at 144hz and tried a different house and still had the problem. I tried all versions of windows as well. Currently im running i7 9700k, RTX 2070, XPG Spectrix 8x2 16gb 3200mhz ram, asrock z390 phantom gaming 4, i have a liquid cooler and a samsung 970 pro plus. I am on the newest version of Windows 10 at the moment and the newest Drivers. I've tried literally everything ive found online and have yet to fix it. The mouse feels unresponsive and can give a different feeling on different days. I tried several drivers and all the DDU uninstalling. I ran all high end PC's and had the same problem across all of them. I'm at a loss for words right now and don't know what to do. Hoping somebody would be willing to help me out. Thanks. P.S. YES vsync is off and i have my monitor on 144hz. Update: Everytime I reinstalled Windows I would get a different kind of problem with my mouse. I have reinstalled Windows a few times recently and the problem has not changed so maybe it is fixable this time. My mouse feels like it has slight input lag and inconsistent with my actual movement in real life. In game like CSGO the mouse slows down or almost doesn't move when trying to aim at people. It almost freezes and locks up. Also my sensitivities in game are nearly doubled to be able to replicate the same feeling as before. I have enhance pointer precision off and I use raw input. I have had problems on 2 seperate PC's and tried using all my friends peripherals so it can't be mine. [link] [comments] |
Locked out of Galaxy S10, how do I unlock or backup? Posted: 30 Jul 2019 04:12 PM PDT Hi guys, I somehow forgot the pattern to my S10 and it locked me out. It's usually muscle memory since I've been using the same pattern for 5 years so idk wtf happened. But now I can't get into my phone since it says "For your security, draw your pattern." I have a backup of only the apps, calls, texts, and settings. I checked samsung cloud, but I have no gallery backups. Find My Mobile doesn't work to unlock it since apparently it's not registered to my phone? even tho I'm in my samsung account. Is there any way to unlock it with any programs? I really need to keep my pictures or else I would've factory reset it. I can't even turn it off or restart it since it says "Draw pattern to turn off phone." Thanks guys [link] [comments] |
high ping when somebody else using internet Posted: 30 Jul 2019 06:10 PM PDT I have generally good BT internet, 65 download and around 20 upload. me and my brother use most of the internet, i play games and he watches netflix. everything was fine until recently, whenever i play games (specifically csgo) my ping is constantly rising and falling causing lag spikes, this is only when he is streaming netflix, i don't think he is using any other internet except maybe his phone. why is this happening? no QOS so i can't prioritise. it only started recently. only us two in the house currently. i use wired internet [link] [comments] |
