Will I regret choosing Samsung when Android Q hits the Pixels? Posted: 01 May 2019 05:13 PM PDT I prefer the s10e in almost every way, I even think that software is on the same level as the Pixel 3. I'm just worried that come Q3 when Android Q comes the Pixel will have it and the s10e will be months behind and I'll regret my decision. Has anyone else regretted this same situation? Has anyone here tried Verizon's Palm phone? Posted: 01 May 2019 09:53 AM PDT I'm thinking about getting the Palm phone soon. I know it got bad reviews, but even after reading the reviews I still think it sounds pretty good, at least for my use case. I just want it because I want a secondary phone that I use ONLY for texting and calling, that shares my main phone's phone number. It seems like the main downside is battery life. The battery seems extremely small. Does anyone here have firsthand experience with it? If I only respond to a few texts, make a 10 minute phone call, and turn on the screen a few times throughout the day to check the time, will the battery last all day? Or is the battery so bad that it can't even handle that? [link] [comments] |
Blurry/low bitrate on screen mirroring apps Posted: 01 May 2019 07:03 PM PDT Have tried vysor pro and samsung flow and both get extremely blurry under motion. Is there any fix for this or a known issue? Have seen many people stream games on twitch and it doesn't lag and I know it's not from an emulator so I wanna know how they make it so crisp. My phone is the Note 9 updated on the latest android version. [link] [comments] |
Really unique problem, would appreciate any help. Posted: 01 May 2019 08:44 PM PDT I have a OnePlus 3t and while it has served me well, I fear this combination of problems may be it's last. The first problem is that the power button doesn't work. That I have been mostly able to work around. However, earlier today the touchscreen function mostly stopped working. I say mostly because it is only in certain scenarios. If the lock screen is on, the touch screen works. The touch screen works for pulling down the notification bar and it works for interacting with notifications (in fact I can still text because of quick reply). Everything else works, the home button, the back and overview buttons work for all of their intended purposes. The fingerprint sensor even works. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to save my phone without having to send it in or upgrade? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 May 2019 07:21 PM PDT Kinda annoying since I have all the apps I actually use all sorted so I DON'T have to scroll through menus in the first place... [link] [comments] |

How do I turn off/fix AT&T's 5G E? Posted: 01 May 2019 12:21 PM PDT I have an S8 w/Android 9 and ever since ATT rolled out their 5G E a couple months ago I've had nothing but issues. When I'm in my office I get 4G LTE and it works great (85mbps down, 45 up, low latency), but when I go outside ~50ft away it changes to 5G E and I can barely browse it's so bad. I couldnt even get the speed test to load just now. I turned off Enhanced LTE Services but that doesn't affect this at all, I couldn't find anything else to try. I tried searching but all I found is people complaining that 5G E is fake 5G which I understand but does anyone know why this would kill my connection? [link] [comments] |
Where should I report apps that ask to click ads? Posted: 01 May 2019 12:11 PM PDT In this screenshot you can see that it asks users to click the ads below. This message appears after certain number of searches. The message is Turkish; "Lütfen aşağıdaki reklama tıklayıp tekrar geri dönünüz". English translation is "Please click the ad below and then return back". And the app is this. [link] [comments] |
What app does everyone use to manage all their Google reminders? Posted: 01 May 2019 12:05 PM PDT Inbox used to show all reminders across your Google account including Google Keep, Calendar, Assistant etc. But now it's gone [link] [comments] |
OneUI vs EMUI vs Stock Android Posted: 01 May 2019 05:50 PM PDT Hi everyone! I'm looking at a new phone, and have narrowed my choices to the Galaxy S10+, the P30 Pro, and the OnePlus 6t (7 if it's a good device and still had a good price tag). My last phone was a Pixel 2 XL and I LOVED it, but it broke and I've seen nothing but negative reviews about the Pixel 3. So here's my question, is Huawei's EMUI or Samsung's OneUI closer to stock Android? I know neither of them are close to stock, but I want to know which one is more like stock. [link] [comments] |
Huawei Mate 20 pro and gamevice. Posted: 01 May 2019 05:45 PM PDT I know there is no direct gamevice made for the mate 20 pro but I was wondering if anyone out there has used one for the other phones and it fit? The betop only offers one controller side with just the pad and controls on it. Looking for a full controller gamevice or similar. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 May 2019 05:36 PM PDT Hi! I want to do a Nandroid backup of my phone, since I want to test a new rom and NanoDroid (Microg). Would restoring from a Nandroid backup overwrite whatever is installed? Is restoring with Nandroid basically the way to get back to how it was? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 May 2019 12:23 PM PDT My phone will not turn on, I have tried different chargers but that doesn't seem to work. When I do plug it in a little red light comes on in the top left corner just above the screen. When it was working this little light would be orange while charging. Anyone know what the issue could be? I don't really care about the phone, I just want the photos off it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 May 2019 04:06 PM PDT Can someone help me ? I have a Redmi Note 4 stuck in headphone mode, I was using Android 9, but I had to go back to Oreo because of this problem, someone knows a way to disable the headphone Jack, or Just change audio routing ? Thanks btw [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 May 2019 04:04 PM PDT I have 16gb internal storage, I checked stuff I have other than anroid OS takes around 5GB in total. I only have 1GB free space, does the anroid OS take 10GB space??? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 May 2019 03:46 PM PDT My company will soon switch to Microsoft Exchange from Google Suite. I went looking online about it and saw that, apparently, company admins can wipe a device remotely if it has an Exchange account on it, like literally wipe. So my questions are, how is this even possible? Why isn't it such a big deal? My company doesn't offer enterprise phones so it's pretty much accept the possibility or lose access to informations while not on a computer. Is it possible to remove this permission? Posted: 01 May 2019 03:46 PM PDT Just got my S10 today, I came over from an iPhone I can text people who have an Android phone, but I'm unable to text anyone with an Apple phone. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
Can I salvage Huawei Watch GT with Wear OS somehow? Posted: 01 May 2019 03:23 PM PDT Hey, I got Huawei Watch GT (was bought for me) and the person getting it didn't know it doesn't run Wear OS. Not that I really want Wear OS, but this "Lite OS" that Huawei released feels like a bad joke. The few notifications that show are pushed to the watch as "messages" and nothing is actually compatible. For example: - When I play a song on my phone it shows on the watch that I have "a message with content "Alicia Keys"", which is ridiculous. - Messenger texts show without actually showing who's writing just a black screen with the text and no options or anything. - When someone calls you just see hang up without even seeing who calls. This all feels like a bad joke and looks extremely bad. Is there anything I can do to install Wear OS on that watch or is my only option selling it? 📷 [link] [comments] |
Sprint Galaxy S10. Can I set specific texts to always make sound, even when on silent? Posted: 01 May 2019 09:07 AM PDT My job sometimes texts me in the middle of the night for emergency jobs. Unfortunately I also have friends who will text at random hours. So I like to put my phone on silent when I go to bed, but I would still like to have texts from certain people make sound so it wakes me up. Can I do this? [link] [comments] |

My phone keeps deleting my Spotify downloads Posted: 01 May 2019 01:20 PM PDT And putting them onto the internal memory instead of SD card. I just restarted my phone there because it was bugging out and my downloads were all gone off my sd card are were being redownloaded onto the internal storage. Any way to fix this or is my phone dying? [link] [comments] |
moisture has been detected s8 plus Posted: 01 May 2019 12:59 PM PDT Basically the title I randomly had this occur to me, no water in sight, no specially humid enviroments, nothing. I tried all i could find (rinse with 100% alchohol, hair dryer both hot and cool low fan speed, the rice thing, waiting it out) I found a workaround tho. I have to go to Settings>Apps(on the top right select show system apps)>USBSettings force stop, clear cache, clear data, restart my phone and while booting i need to plug it and it will charge but veeeery slowly. So this got me thinking. i was wondering if i could somehow change via software this dammed app (USBSettings) that handles this data. To have a higher threshold for the "humidity" or turn it off completely. Some specs that might be helpful: [link] [comments] |
