Thoughts on OnePlus 6 from an ex Apple fanboy Posted: 28 Feb 2019 11:02 AM PST I'm an apple fan boy for the past 6 years and I always think that iPhones are the best. I upgraded from iPhone 7 to OnePlus 6 last week and I was fucking impressed! The Oxygen OS is so clean and smooth. Most importantly it have a good battery life that can last for a very long time.. I finally realized that apple is charging way more than they provide and I'm now on the side of Android. OnePlus 6 is the perfect smartphone for me and thank you OnePlus for making this amazing product! [link] [comments]

OnePlus 5T Screen protector alternative Posted: 28 Feb 2019 12:01 PM PST The OnePlus store is very limited and kicks out accessoires and phones out of their production as soon as they release two new generations. I removed my original screen protector and would prefer to apply a new one. What would be a similar alternative to the official OnePlus 5T screen protector? Most unoffical manufacturers don't have promising reviews and are too cheap to be as durable as the originals. I'd appreciate all recommendations. [link] [comments]

OP5T - OK Google not working after latest beta update Posted: 28 Feb 2019 05:35 PM PST OK Google (aka Google Assistant) has worked great for me, up until the latest Pie beta update on my 5T. Now it's turned off, and when I try to activate it, the option is grayed out and there is text below saying "This feature is currently unavailable for this language." FYI - my language is set as English (US), and I haven't changed it. Thus far, I have tried uninstalling the app, reinstalling the app to the newest update through the Play Store, force quitting and clearing the cache, all to no avail. Again, it worked perfectly before the beta, now it's broken. Anything I'm missing, or have others encountered (and, hopefully, resolved) this issue? Thanks in advance... [link] [comments]

Google Dialer with everything working? Posted: 28 Feb 2019 08:16 AM PST Is there any way to get the Google Dialer app on the 6T with everything working on it? Like voice mail, block calls spam etc? Or is it limited to just making and receiving calls with the modified app? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2019 07:33 PM PST My phone's slowed down to the point to where it's unusable. I might as well be using a flip phone. Is there a reason or do all OnePlus phone's become obsolete after two months? [link] [comments]

Thank Goodness - Battery Optimization on Latest Beta Posted: 28 Feb 2019 05:54 AM PST It's only been two reboots, but the hyper aggressive re-optimizing of apps appears to be fixed in the latest Beta for my OP6. Prior to this update, every reboot would reset the battery optimization whitelist, and I'd have to go into settings and re-set my widgets and some services to be not-optimized, so I don't have a persistent notification and other such stuff. With the latest beta, this appears to be fixed, and the whitelist doesn't get reset on a reboot any more. Can others confirm on their devices? [link] [comments]
Oneplus (US) Support in 2019 (My experience) Posted: 27 Feb 2019 11:05 PM PST Back Story (Skip if you don't care)To start this off, my device was never rooted/and had no custom recovery img on it. I updated my device through an OTA beta file and my OP6T boot looped on the start up screen for about 30 minutes. I then shut the device down, and rebooted into recovery mode/ the fastboot menu. I thought I could easily reset my device through the erase option. Sadly I was unable to this, it only brought me back to the fastboot menu. I tried everything from trying to flash recovery imgs (USB debugging was disabled) and using a MSM unbrick tool. I didn't get lucky and I pretty much felt screwed since OP is well known for bad customer support. Live Chat SupportStarting a live support chat is quick and easy. All you have to do is go to their website and hit Live Chat. Now is it convenient and fast. Well to that I say, not really. Live support is only from 4am-10pm eastern time, making it hard to get support on the western time zones. Que time wasn't that long, but representatives were slow to respond, and 2/4 I chatted with had no idea how to solve a softbrick/boot loop. The most helpful was the guy who just strait up told me I should just request a service repair since I didn't have USB debugging on, and their was no way I could flash any files. Opening a Support CaseOpening a support case was easy enough, type in your IMEI number(screen shotted that thank god) and enter your problem. It told me I had to wait 48hrs till my case was approved, which was definitely false. At the 45hr mark I had to contact a representative and ask them to manually approve it, which they did after I said I had video proof. From their it took another 2hrs for me to get the shipping label in my inbox (it was overnight shipping Good Job OP!) . With my shipping label ready, I went to my local Fedex store and payed $3 for packaging and shipped it off to the Acer repair center in Temple, Texas. (Side note I shipped it on the 25 of February. ) Quick Repair and a Happy CustomerThe next day my device arrived at the repair center. On the same day only an hour later my device was repaired and ready to be shipped back to me. So far so good! By 5:30 am on Feb 27,2019 I got an email with my tracker code, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was on a truck being delivered to my house by 10:30 am. When I got home it was at my doorstep, and to cut it short, the device works good as new. Final Thoughts/TLDROverall i'm happy with the OP support. It was a little rough around the edges with the live support, but aside that after I got my shipping label it was a fast and smooth processes! It only took three days to ship my device there and back, and repair it. Very fast if you ask me, rivaling Samsung support/ which is way slower. So if you're on Edge about getting a OP phone inside the US because you don't trust their support, hopefully this post can help! Once again good job OP I am glad I can say you rival Samsung in support! [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2019 07:29 AM PST Anyone else have this issue? After a few weeks of use, my sim 1 slot stops working. I have a TMobile sim in slot one which is my primary and a Verizon sim in slot 2. This happened a few months ago and I had to do a factory reset to fix. I'm on OOS beta from 2/20. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2019 02:55 PM PST So, what I tried to do, was to update my phone to Oxygen OS Open Beta 25, running on my OnePlus 5t with Codexworkx TWRP and Blu_Spark kernel with Magisk installed. I flashed stock recovery (Because TWRP can't install OTA updates for some reason, it just gives me "ERROR CODE: 7"), I installed the update and my phone won't boot, it just gets stuck at the bootanimation, what I have tried doing so far is.
I don't know if I should try and flash the newer version of the OTA by enabling MTP and transferring the zip file to /downloads folder, reflashing stock recovery and try to flash it from there, I really don't know what to do. [link] [comments]
Bluetooth setting not working when it's turned on, but can open when BT is turned off Posted: 28 Feb 2019 02:48 PM PST Bluetooth settings not working https://imgur.com/gallery/3rTTAxb Bluetooth setting not working p2 https://imgur.com/a/noCHsVC I really don't know why it's not working. I force stopped the settings app, Bluetooth app, and Bluetooth midi app and then cleared data and cache for them then restarted phone. I just started recently but still have no idea what could have made it stop working. [link] [comments]

Random full screen ads popping up 6t Posted: 28 Feb 2019 09:28 AM PST what is going on this started today. I haven't noticed it on any specific aps, this one I was on Twitter, I got another one while I was on my podcast app, I think. What is going on?? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2019 12:21 PM PST Hi there, I just purchased a oneplus 3t, its been working fine on dual sim till I reboot it, then it fails to detect either sim, disabling sim 2 and re-enabling it fixes one sim, but to get both sims back I hve to eject the sim tray (after reboot) and re insert it. I tried the sims on my brothers oneplus 3t, same issue again, both phones are on the latest firmware too, and the issue does not occur when only one sim is used. I replaced the sim trays but this did nothing. Has anyone got any solutions ? [link] [comments]
