Every 10 minutes this notification comes and distracts me. Is their any solution to this problem? | Posted: 02 Jan 2019 04:35 PM PST I have a 5t that I purchased from a 3rd party (since OnePlus didn't have them). It has been working great and no issues since April 2018. A week ago or so I had it on my desk, on a slow charging cable with ~50% battery life. Maybe the battery life was a bit lower than it would normally be at that point of the day but not way different than expected. I checked out the OnePlus forum survey they sent out, put it down and an hour later the phone is completely unresponsive and zero signs of life. I called OnePlus support and help consisted of long pressing the power button. There is an option for a level 2 support call but they want some details which are a bit annoying for me to get (receipt/imei) and they basically told me I'd have to pay to have it fixed in any case. Anyway, when I attach the phone to my computer, I hear the USB connected sound. If I hold the power button down I hear the USB disconnect and then the USB connect sounds and that repeats about every 3 seconds as long as I hold the power button. Power+vol button does the same thing. Any suggestions on how I can figure out what is wrong and or revive this? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Don't buy the 6T glass screen protector from OnePlus Posted: 02 Jan 2019 07:23 PM PST TL;DR - The glass screen protector doesn't fit well which makes it impossible to not have air bubbles under it. Full story - This isn't my first (or 5th) time applying a glass screen protector. I've done so for big phones and small phones. I've always used higher quality ones and rarely had any issues with them. I've just bought a new 6T and added in a glass screen protector, since I was going to end up getting one either way. $20 is definitely on the higher end, but whatever, I'm ok with paying for quality. With this one, I made sure to watch their video on how to apply and follow the instructions. However, upon application it became painfully obvious that there's no way that it fits well on top of the screen. I've tried repositioning multiple times and changing the application direction (top-to-bottom \ bottom-to-top). In all cases I was unable to push a fairly big chunk of air bubbles out of the top of the screen protector. Never had this much trouble with any other glass screen protector. Upon 30~ minutes of trying, I just gave up because it wasn't even close to decent. Conclusion is either I got a defective product (which I'm waiting to hear back from support on), or this is a bigger issue. Anyone else had this problem? [link] [comments]  | ||

Firstly, they got rid of the green and red colour scheme for a black and white minimalistic thing so when you're half asleep, you can't even see which way to swipe. Now if you somehow reach your home screen without knowing how, then there's no way to switch off the alarm. You can't reduce the noise to 0, it still plays waking everybody up, there's no pop up toast where you can tap snooze or dismiss. I don't even know what to do. I just end up turning it off. This picture is a crop of a standard photo (no portrait mode). The shirt has a rough texture that is visible around the top button, but the noise reduction 'washes' it all away. I had a OP 3 up until November and had the same issues, all with the same iPhone user. All firmware is up-to-date. My friends says it's my phone/plan because I'm the only one receiving screwy texts (except my friend gets double texts too). I thought they were right, hence I upgraded to a 6T. But the saga continues. I got off the phone with my provider who sent me texts and confirmed their service to be operating normally. I've tried Signal, then QSMS. Same crap different toilet. One text I received today had information about my friend's birthday back in November! If I restart my phone, everything works fine for a little bit. | 6T has been working great on verizon Posted: 02 Jan 2019 11:58 AM PST I was very curious about the stability of using the 6T on Verizon but I couldn't find that many resources on it. I chatted with someone from Verizon after I popped the Sim card in and they recognized it was a 6T and they changed it to a CDMA less device on my account and after that everything has been working smooth. It happens when I open an app and it immediately crashes then upon reopening said app the screen turns black for a couple of seconds then I'm promoted to unlock the phone. | Oneplus 6T System UI crashing after pie update Posted: 02 Jan 2019 05:22 AM PST Has anyone else noticed the UI crashing 3 or 4 times a day just randomly? It seems to happen randomly causing the screen to go black, awake after a few seconds and then demand the pin number as if the phone was just restarted. It also shows up on the battery graph as the phone being turned off for a few seconds. Edit: people mentioning this may be caused by using a private DNS. | OTG storage is not showing within apps after the Pie upgrade on 5T Posted: 02 Jan 2019 04:31 PM PST Since updating to Pie, within all apps such as Pixlr, Discord, Reddit etc, the OTG storage is no longer showing up when choosing to add a file. The 2 images attached are what comes up when trying to add an image through an app and just opening the Files app . As you can see the OTG storage isn't there. However in the OnePlus website U can't buy the official screen protector, and all the 3rd party ones I have seen have crappy reviews Is there any way to get the official one?
