    Samsung Way too many assistants.

    Samsung Way too many assistants.

    Way too many assistants.

I like Samsung products. I love the fact that this ecosystem work so good in-between products of the brand. I've only got one gripe, and the more products, the worst it becomes.

    1. My Galaxy S8+ has Bixby, and Google Assistant. Sometimes having both of them able to access different things on each side.
    2. My Gear S3 has S Voice, and no ability to access the assistants on the phone, despite being connected to it.
    3. The IconX have the workout assistant, but also need to connect to the phone for Bixby requests.
    4. My Galaxy Tab 10.5 has a deprecated version of S Voice, with no support for it, so also a different voice.

All of these things, when they are Android, have the latest Google Assistant. Normal, it's web queries. But Samsung version of on-board non-up-to-date line of assistants is a complete mess, with 4 different sounding voices. I really wish they would either dust it off, make all of them online or pass on to the Google one.

Wow mind blown - from the heart rate sensor to the amazing camera. The headphone jack, the smooth performance, iris reader and cool apps from samsung.

Damn no wonder samsung is dominating the mobile game.

Right IconX earbud no longer responding to touch commands?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 07:08 AM PST

    Hi Folks.

I've had these since November, haven't used them very much at all (maybe....5 hours total). They sat around the house, battery died, and recently I brought them into work to use with my work phone.

The earbuds pair fine, they work fine, no volume problems. The only issue is the right earbud doesn't respond to touch whatsoever. Left is perfectly fine, but right does nothing, whether paired to my phone or work phone or computer or nothing at all.

I tried the soft reset thing with the button, but pushing and holding the buttons down for the requested time doesn't give me any visible queue that it's doing anything....

Any ideas or am I SOL with this?

Successfully Downgraded to Oreo (One UI Beta)

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 08:24 AM PST

Although I really liked One UI, the performance issues and instability were too inconvenient for me and I probably shouldn't have upgraded in the first place (it being a beta).

    Its very easy to downgrade

    1. Deregister from the beta
    2. Download Smart Switch for PC
    3. Plug phone into PC via the official samsung USB
    4. Load smart switch and press downgrade

The option didnt appear for me the first time, however after I installed one of the patches it appeared

6 features I would like to see on the Spen

    Posted: 29 Nov 2018 08:02 PM PST

Im getting a test graded so to kill time im on here writing this list, feel free to add some ideas or shoot mine down

    1. the button to have a touch area. i would like this touch area to have a customizable swipe feature where you could do things like swipe up and down on it to zoom in and out in camera mode, scroll on web pages, adjust volume in the music apps

    2. make the touch area a semi secure (low accuracy) finger print scanner to unlock the phone from larger distances

    3. make the clicky part on the back do something preferably erase the last thing i wrote

    4. customize what the button actually does

    5. add a gyroscope sensor so that you can control more things with gestures like shaking the pen or tapping it can be a gesture control to switch to the last opened app

    6. add some weight to it, i know cellphone weight is a hot issue but i would much rather have the feel of a real pen, like seymour skinner i too like the weight and feel of a pen in my hand

Gear S3. Is 3% battery drain per hour good or bad?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 05:07 AM PST

I was just wondering. I just got myself a gear s3 frontier, and ive noticed it used about 3% of its battery per hour, with the most intensive app being s health.

Its last full charge was 13,5 hours ago, and its on 57% now.

Is this good or is this bad? And is it normal that s health uses 36% of my battery?

Samsung Galaxy S9 or Note 9?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2018 08:58 AM PST

I'm about to upgrade my phone. I'm normally an Android girl, and most recently had the Samsung S6, but after a few changes in carriers, and a dropped phone, I'm now using a donated Iphone 6 and I hate it. I've been counting down until I can get back to a Samsung.

Anyway, I'm debating between the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy Note 9. My sister has the Galaxy S8 and loves it, but I use the S8+ for work and I don't really care for it, compared to the S6. Maybe if I played around with it more, I'd like it, but I really only use it for texting.

Which would you recommend and why?

Are all S Pens the same?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2018 09:45 PM PST

I lost the S Pen for my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 ed tablet (It has been discontinued but I still love it) and looking through online stores in my country, they specify which S pen is for which model. Aren't they all the same , and can I just buy another model's s pen?

Samsung USA support is a joke

    Posted: 29 Nov 2018 08:41 PM PST

Started a warranty exchange, for my 65" tv, 2 months ago, and still have no tv. Can't get any straight answers, always told 7-10 days, it just got approved, the trucking company will call you to set up delivery. Rinse and repeat weekly.

Executive customer support is an even bigger joke. The CS that's supposed to be able to get things done. I think not.

I've sold and recommended a ton of Samsung products in the past. Never again will I do that, now that I see first hand how they value there customers.

Anyone have any recommendations on how to light a fire under there ass's?

S9 Lock screen not respecting brightness level

    Posted: 29 Nov 2018 11:44 PM PST

I got a new S9 over the weekend and I am finding at night when I have the brightness turned down that my lock screen is much brighter than my phone is when unlocked. Blue light filter also does not seem to be applied. I tried looking for settings to fix this but am not finding anything.

    Any help is appreciated!
