HTC The future of HTC Sense? |
Posted: 02 Aug 2018 04:19 AM PDT I've recently stopped using my HTC 10 as my primary phone, and after using some other phones for a while, I've been thinking a little bit about Sense and about its good points and bad points. And I've come to the conclusion that while it's a pretty good skin over Android, there are some things that could or should be changed, so I thought that I could start a discussion for that. On my side, I firstly think that HTC should get rid of News Republic. That app is horrible, it uses a lot of battery and memory, and worst of all, it pushes ads. That's unacceptable as far as I'm concerned - paying the money for a premium phone only for a preinstalled app to push ads to your notification area or lock screen. I always disabled it, and that brings me to my second point - Blinkfeed. Blinkfeed is nice and everything, but since I'm not using Facebook or News Republic, it's basically useless, and that's a shame, since the concept is really good. If HTC would remove News Republic or at least if it would allow us to replace it with another app, it could really be a nice feature. And then Sense itself could use a new coat of paint in many of its apps. I appreciate that HTC has at least updated its launcher app - but most of its apps still have the same design they've had long ago, and that is starting to feel indeed a little stale, especially when you compare them with the stock Android apps. Htc m9 stuck in charging screen Posted: 01 Aug 2018 01:56 PM PDT So I was using my phone yesterday and I didn't realized that my phone was almost dying so it turned off. The thing is that none of my physical keys work, neither of the volume keys or the power button (I know lol) so I don't really know what to do, right now my phone is charging but I don't know how to get it out of the charging screen. Is there any way to get it out of there ? [link] [comments] |
