    I just got an S8.

    I bought an S8 a month ago, and I decided to pull for Premium Care b/c I would not be with a carrier. I bought this phone straight money. I am leaving Apple for this phone.

    The phone is in pristine condition. No cracks.

    Well, the assholes at Premium Care said: This device has physical damage.

    A call placed to the Samsung people, and they said they can't do anything about this. One guy offered to get me in touch with a Supervisor, and even gave me a ticket.

    But they charged my card $11.99 ASAP. Fuck outta here.

    I'll see what happens later today, but this is a joke. :|

    I've seen a ton of suggestions for the Zhiyun Smooth Q, but I've also seen that due to the weight and size of the phone, the battery on the Q will drain more quickly than with other phones. This would be the first gimbal I've bought, so I'm open to any and all suggestions/advice. Thanks!

    Galaxy Tab questions

    • What's the difference between the Galaxy Tab A 7.0 and the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0?

    • Is this tablet smaller than Apple's iPad mini? I find the iPad mini big for my hands, is the Galaxy Tab 7.0 smaller?

    • Does it still get firmware updates?

    • Can I expand the memory? If so, what sd card would I need?

    Brand new Samsung galaxy A8 draining battery

    Hi!

    So I recently got a new phone, I took the Galaxy A8 because it sounded like a great phone for the price, and I love it right now.

    The only problem is the battery. I find that it is losing battery extremely fast for a new phone. About 15-20% for an hour of using the phone only to configure stuff and install apps, and then about 15% lost over 6 hours of not using it.

    Is that a normal rate for new phones? Am I already required to desactivate cool features such as the time showing up when idle and activate power saving mode just to get a decent time of usage?

    Need help, Please!

    I purchased a used Samsung Galaxy Note 5 off of offer up today. Usual price for my area. Nothing was of concern. I met up with a man, who seemed normal enough. He was a fifties ish white male who said he had it for a couple of years and got a new one. Jovial, the usual. No flags or anything. Told me he specifically joined offer up so he could sell the phone, which I should've seen with some concern. I paid for the phone, and we went our separate ways. But I went to reset the phone, and it's Gmail locked! I looked into it, and it's FRP locked. I'm not sure what to do, as the man has deleted his OfferUp account. How can I get my phone to work? I need it for work, and I really can't afford to buy another phone right now. Thank you for your help!

    Is my phone rooted?

    Long story short, I bought the S9 on release, a few weeks later the touch screen stops working and so I take it to a Samsung store where they fix it free of charge. Before I gave them my phone I was able to download Netflix but now I am unable to search for it in the store and when I find a link to it in the store it says the app is not compatible with my phone. After a quick Google search I find that phones which are rooted are not allowed to download Netflix (and possibly a range of other apps). Can someone possibly explain what's going on here? This is my first Samsung and so I'm not entirely sure what these terms mean or how to fix them. Many thanks

    Strange red light on galaxy s9

    I noticed recently that when the camera is in selfie mode and I put my finger over the flash light, it turns on a red light. Anyone else notice this or know what it is there for?

    (S9+) Instagram makes my volume keys default to ringer

    I changed the setting where it make your volume keys control your media by default, but when i launch instagram it changes to ringer. This is especially annoying when instagram requires you to press the increase media volume key to activate sound on certain posts. Is there any way to fix this?.

    Iconx 2018 wont produce sound for media only calls and Samsung sounds.

    I can hear my phone calls and the beeps and samsung voice but i cant hear music, youtube or any sort of media at all. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

    Question Re: Rotating Lockscreen Wallpaper with Android Oreo

    With previous Android versions there used to be a pretty cool feature that allowed users to choose up to 30 images as wallpaper and have them change whenever the user locked and unlocked their device. It could be set to just the lockscreen and I became pretty fond of it.

    I can't seem to find anything in the settings to allow for this with Oreo in the Wallpapers and Themes settings. Has this been completely removed for some reason? If so, that really sucks and is kind of baffling.

    It's a shot in the dark but does anyone know if this is indeed the case or if there's any way to reactive that feature?

    Compass in S7 Edge panels not working properly

    Hello all.

    I have just recently started using this feature in my Galaxy S7 Edge, but I'm having two problems:

    • The compass will not turn according to as I turn the phone. If I opened it and the yellow arrow was pointing "SE 140º", the compass will look like a picture (it will stand still), not as an animation. The same goes for the red north mark. Basically, the compass never turns.

    • If when I open the app the compass is showing "SE 140º", as I turn (left in this case) it will go to "S 140º", "SW 140º", "W 140º" and so all, until it return to "SE 140º". The thing is, the value will not change, only the direction (north, south...). If I reopen the app, the value may change, but through that session the same wi happen - only direction change, not values.

    Here is a video that covers both the problems.

    I have already tried calibrating it through the "calibrate" button and that ★#0★# (★ stands for *, I can't put it here without using the italic shortcut) thing, but nothing changed. This is the screen that opens, and this is the screen that appears when I touch "SensorHub Test" (it actually first goes to a black screen, then I have to unlock the phone, which leads me to the mentioned screen). This is the only button relating to "sensor". I have already opened all the others, but nothing seems to relate to sensors and the likes.

    Samsung 65" UHD soundbar cuts out hulu

    Sort of difficult to search for, just started recently where the first 3-4 seconds of initially playing a Hulu show is silent and then the sound turns on. No feedback or noises during the silent period. So it only started happening with Hulu and no other apps, any random idea?
