One Plus 6 Ringke Fusion Review Posted: 30 Jun 2018 06:36 PM PDT While waiting for my Poetic Guardian, I got myself locally a Ringke Fusion (clear) that comes with a free Lanyard and card case (which you stick at the back) Grip - 3.5/5 Protection - 4/5 Thickness -3.5/5 Weight - 4/5 Design - 3/5 Value for Money - 5/5 Sides are a bit loose than i was expecting but still feels snug and can shell the device well. The sides on the OP6 Nylon case is much more secure i would say. I don't think yellowing is going to be much of an issue here since the phone really does not heat up that both in use and during charges. *I also have small hands by the way so i rarely use the OP6 with one hand [link] [comments]

After a month or so of usage, how is the default screen protector holding up on the OP6? Posted: 30 Jun 2018 05:52 PM PDT My friend is going to visit me in Japan this summer and I had him buy the OP6 to bring for me. I got a bumper case but I didn't get the tempered glass protector because I knew the phone originally comes with screen protector preapplied. However, I'm wondering how that protector is holding up for people who are still using it. Should I ask my friend to get the tempered glass protector before he comes? Am I good with just the default protector? [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Jun 2018 06:09 AM PDT So just upgraded form a OnePlus 3 to OnePlus 6 (8gb,256gb) absolutely love it, powerhouse of a phone. All the reviews I watched the reviewer was all complaining that the speaker was tinny, bad quality and not loud enough. I don't see any complaints at all it's a huge improvement, maybe the other flagships are better but I was expecting a decrease coming form the OnePlus 3, which also great. I don't know why they would list it as con. It's great. Just wanted to get that off my chest if anyone was hesitant about the speaker volume before purchasing. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jun 2018 06:31 PM PDT Anyone have any suggestions to stream my 4k videos from my OP6 I've recorded to my Samsung smart TV, it's pretty janky with the apps I've tried, surely there's something that works well? Cheers [link] [comments]
A way for better theming compatibility in OxygenOS Posted: 30 Jun 2018 07:56 AM PDT Back in Nougat, custom ROMs had the option to implement an interfacer to allow theming with substratum for example. In Oreo, theming is supported via OMS but as one can see, it clearly isn't made for the consumers, since one needs an app (Andromeda) and an adb script to allow modifications. As the Andromeda description on the play store describes, this is necessary to gain required rights in android to access OMS. Here is a link to that issue: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/74354703. Please give it a star. Do not comment. My thought was that OP could implement a "fix" for this as described in the issue. My experience on my old phone with Andromeda was far from flawless. Especially while updating already installed themes. Many reboots were necessary which means I had to run the adb script again and again. If OP would implement this "fix" it would make theming in OxygenOS so much more comfortable! Thanks for your attention ;D [link] [comments]
How I fixed my 5.18 battery drain Posted: 30 Jun 2018 10:30 AM PDT There's been a lot of talk about battery drain affecting devices. I believe it was affecting mine. I don't have malware or any heavily draining apps and I didn't change anything before or after upgrading to 5.18. The drain, however, was real. I went from getting around 2 days use to 1. How I fixed mine:
Dunno if it'll work for others, but it worked for me. Credit to some post on Oneplus community that I can't find right now. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jun 2018 01:45 PM PDT At 2:00 of OP6 teardown video, the reviewer noticed that it doesn't have heat pipes or thermal paste. Anyone knows why? Is it just cost-cutting? [link] [comments]
[Question] OP3/3T owners, what ROM are you using and why? Posted: 30 Jun 2018 06:29 AM PDT Hey, just picked up a mint 3T, was wondering what rom's yall using, looking to install one that gives me performance and battery! thanks [link] [comments]
OnePlus 6 double notification noise Posted: 30 Jun 2018 05:39 AM PDT Anyone else experiencing this? 1t started in the last couple of days, haven't had an update since 5.1.8 (which I did a week or so ago). Any notification I get, whether it be text, app notification, anything.......back to back notification. Changing the tone doesn't fix. Anyone have any ideas before I erase the phone? [OP3T] Anyone had damage after a warranty repair? Posted: 30 Jun 2018 06:06 AM PDT Hi, I decided to send my device in for repair under warranty for a new battery, OnePlus also replaced the motherboard because of signal issues and the process was very quick, and the customer service reps were very quick to respond. My device was sent from the UK to the Czech Republic, repaired and back all within 3 days. After recieving my device back however, I noticed some defects/chips, along the frame/display where it looks like they took apart the device. I sent OnePlus picture evidence of the damage and now they are much slower to respond to my emails generally, they initially said 3 days for an outcome, it's been a week. I sent them an email asking for a status update after 3 days and all they said is that they are still conducting an investigation at the service center. Has anything like this happened to anyone? And how long did it take if you had any damage to your device after sending it in? [link] [comments]
No Notification for Calls or Voicemail - OP3 Posted: 30 Jun 2018 11:56 AM PDT I'm having issues where calls are not coming through (phone does not ring) and no notifications are being given (no missed calls being shown and no voicemail being shown). Restarting the phone will typically show me the missing notifications for voicemail. How can I tell if this is being caused by my phone or my carrier? I'm currently using MintMobile. Been with them almost a year without trouble. These issues have cropped up during the past month. If it's the phone, I need a new phone. If it's the carrier, I need a new carrier. I'd switch both up but I'm definitely on a budget. ($40/month max for cell service - no budget at the moment for a new phone but could be time to start counting that loose change...) Posted: 30 Jun 2018 11:56 AM PDT I got my OP6 recently and unlocked the bootloader & rooted it. Now the 5.1.8 update is out and I'd like to update my phone to it to see if it'll help any battery & connection issues. When I click on the update it, it states "Root is detected... Your device will be un-rooted once the upgrade is complete." I'm an amateur with this rooting stuff and I'd prefer not to have to go through the whole process again with each update out of risk of me messing something up. I know when I unlocked the bootloader, I had to wipe everything off my phone. If I update and lose my root, will I have to wipe my phone again to get it back? I don't want to have to reinstall everything and fix all the settings again. Is there some way to update w/o losing root and the bootloader/all my apps & data? Or if I update I just lose root access but it's a fast/easy fix and I don't have to lose any data? Thank you. [link] [comments] |
