Finally found a decent podcast app: AntennaPod. Posted: 15 Apr 2018 10:40 AM PDT I've tried some podcast apps, but skipping podcasts (wtf, in 2018?!?), ads, spammy alerts, trouble finding well known podcasts and other annoyances have put me off. Now I found AntennaPod, which is open source and seems to work great. It has the features I need and can search for podcasts from multiple locations, including iTunes. I had a podcast episode downloaded with CastBox that skipped, and I downloaded the same episode with AntennaPod. No skipping, worked perfectly. Just about every episode skipped when I used castbox. One would think the basics work in all these apps, but it seems some have other priorities than the basic features. [link] [comments] |
is there actually a decent app that can convert webm to mp4? Posted: 15 Apr 2018 08:45 AM PDT I've tried several but they don't do the work, any suggestions? thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
Good mp3 playing app to aide in transcribing? Posted: 15 Apr 2018 12:43 AM PDT I'm hand transcribing some voice recordings and they're stored on my phone as mp3 files. I'm currently using VLC but it's over half an hour long and if I need to rewind 5 seconds I have to use a slider which isn't precise. Does anyone know an app I can use to playback these files and have fine control in rewinding like 2-3 seconds? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Apr 2018 10:44 AM PDT Does anyone know where the mute conversation function has gone from Android messages? I'm trying to see if I've recently had an update of the app. I'm running Android 8.0 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Apr 2018 10:09 AM PDT Corporate email is Office 365 with MDM applied. What is the best and lightweight email and calendar app for Android? I need just to check mail and rarely write. Important is the calendar sync with the various calendar app. Tried BlueMail but seems slow. The good fact of Bluemail is that is seems to bypass MDM admin policy and does not need your device is controlled by owa admin. [link] [comments] |
Convert handwritten math to image Posted: 15 Apr 2018 05:52 AM PDT I tried Photomath but it doesn't let me save as image. Is there an alternative? [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app that transfers all outgoing audio singals per Bluetooth to an other smartphone. Posted: 15 Apr 2018 10:04 AM PDT Hey, I am looking for an app that I can install on an android device, like my smartphone or my Fire TV Stick. It should transfer all outgoing audio to an other smartphone, which than can be used as a speaker or with plugged in earphones you can use it as wireless earphone. So on the receiver device should be the same app. Is there a solution for this, without buying extra bluetooth earphones? The app can use bluetooth or Wifi. [link] [comments] |

ISO a location based reminders app with time & date exceptions Posted: 15 Apr 2018 08:55 AM PDT I'm looking for a reminders app that will allow me to set a location trigger that only sends a notification on weekdays after a certain time. One that will simply allow for specific days will suffice. I need to enter my work hours on the website for my apprenticeship program every day, and have a reminder set for when I arrive home, which causes it to trigger every time I leave and return to my house. Which can get pretty annoying. [link] [comments] |
Productivity iOS exclusive apps I wish were on Android. What’s yours? Posted: 15 Apr 2018 11:27 AM PDT Hi there. Just for the background, I use devices of multiple app ecosystems mainly a Galaxy Note 8 and LG V20, an iPad Pro 12.9 2017, and a custom desktop PC workstation. I work as a designer and entrepreneur so workflow and compliance to project timetables are no-brainers. I've been sampling so many productivity apps finding the best fit for me. So far, great cross-platform apps with dedicated Android & iOS and sometimes PC apps are so hard to find. Some that do exist are: Evernote, OneNote, MS Office; cloud services like Dropbox, Google Drive, and One Drive; and my favorite ones Airtable, Trello, Todoist, and Lastpass. Here are some iOS only apps I've tried on my huge iPad. I do not have an iPhone so I have this frustration that their developers have chosen to lock into Apple's ecosystem only some having web apps. These apps are beautifully designed and I wish they were on Android. If you have an idea if their developers have plans to publish Android apps, please feel free to comment:

Posted: 15 Apr 2018 12:21 AM PDT What Android Launcher app consume the less RAM possible? This, even if it does nothing, like no drawer, search... The reason I want this is am using LaunchBoard with Xposed Edge which satisfy all my need. Btw, it's for a low RAM device Update: Am Now using Null Launcher as suggested by /u/13enito. It's Exactely what I needed. Update 2 Now am using Null Launcher & Ap15 Launcher (can't decide) The reason I need a launcher without app drawer is that I find the process of exiting an app, go home screen and open drawer too long (nowadays). So I installed this app call LaunchBoard which act like an floating drawer, so now, I have no need to exit an app or go to home screen to search or launch another app. Update 3: Ohh and now I just replace LaunchBoard with App Swap wich support T9 search :) [link] [comments] |
Why does this person have the search function on his FB messenger app? Posted: 14 Apr 2018 10:23 PM PDT If you look at the top part of the image, you can see that he searched for a specific word on the mobile app. And it also can't be another app because it's clearly the facebook messenger app with the reactions. Anyone with this version's apk? P.S. I have updated my app and there's still no search function. We're also in the same country too. [link] [comments] |

[DEV] My first simple Android App A store bots and miniapps Catalogue. Posted: 15 Apr 2018 05:46 AM PDT MyStoreBots that's a catalog with a lot of the bots currently available for Telegram and mini apps(html5) ready to use without having to download them . The application allows you to explore and use the collection of bots availables for telegram, and run with one clic. There are bots and mini apps too(mini apps) for many things: Tools, news, games, entertainment, music, health, and more. I'm looking to classify the best telegram bots, as also well as mini applications that are based on html5. The main purpose is to help you to find the bots and mini aplications in one place, and let solve basic problems with simples and quiqly tools run from one clic, without download them. I'm currently experimenting with this app, but would love to hear your opinion, and i would appreciate very much to have a look, and give some feedbacks and suggestions of any sort will be appreciated and discussed! Posted: 15 Apr 2018 04:54 AM PDT I have a low power mini PC so want to reduce the number of things I have running in the background. Spoil It - funny pics, spoil posts, earn awards! Posted: 15 Apr 2018 01:40 AM PDT Recently launched Android app, Spoil It, is a new social network app designated for sharing funny pictures and comments. Users can post their funny images or try to spoil other's post. A cool feature is the follow option, that will allow you to see content only from the people you are interested in. Another amazing feature are the rewards. Earn them when your post or comment gets sufficient likes! In a couple of words about our team, background and idea. We are a team of IT students scattered around Europe, mainly in Denmark and Moldova. The idea of creating this website came to our minds when we noticed how much some people like to spoil posts in the comments sections. At the beginning there was only a simple website, dedicated to spoiling photos of nature/cars and other everyday things. The turning point came when one of our members suggested to extend this website also with categories like memes and funny images, because users could get double entertainment from scrolling through memes and reading the comments. Later we also thought about implementing the follow feature so you can see content only from people you appreciate. The icing on the cake where the rewards. How could we bring even more pleasure to our users besides the likes they get for their posts? How can we create a rating system, so they compete one with each others? The rewards solved this problem, so now the users can earn rewards from the simplest one, the Appreciation Award (for 10 likes) ranging to the Global Award (for 1000 likes). The app was the last thing we did, because who would use a site from their mobile devices these days?! So here we are right now, proudly announcing the launch of our Android app. Spoil It is available on Google Play Store for free, and later will be released on App Store. Besides the app we also have a website so our users can use Spoil It from their computers. Moreover it is optimized for mobile devices so it offers the same app experience. Posted: 15 Apr 2018 12:20 AM PDT Specifically need the server backup feature. I like that with Telegram I can delete all the media from my phone, and still have the ability to get it back in the future from any device. WhatsApp doesn't have that. It only has GDrive/iCloud backup which 1) takes from your cloud storage quota 2) means it's not cross platform, i.e. when I move to, say, an iPhone, it's all gone 3) takes up storage on the phone (because if you remove something, it's gone forever) 4) has to be restored every time you install the damn app and can take hours to restore everything. Just a PITA overall. I also like the fact that I can delete the message for both myself and the receiver (WhatsApp has a time limit for that). It's also nice to be able to (actually) log in from the computer without having the phone connected to the internet as well as be able to log on on multiple devices. I'm not even concerned about privacy/security features. It's just so much more convenient than WhatsApp. I like everything about Telegram, but it's been having too many connection issues lately (plus I've read they're gonna ban it in some countries), which is kinda lame for a messenger, so I was looking for a good alternative without sacrificing the awesome functionality I listed above. Photo Gallery App for jumping from Samsung to Pixel Posted: 14 Apr 2018 04:41 PM PDT What's the best Photo Gallery app you'd all suggest after using the Samsung Gallery app for a couple of years? I love Google Photos but it is a little slow compared to the Samsung app. I really only need the app to view photos and delete the crappy ones, before I upload them via Google Photos.
