.epub reader with TTS that has customizable pronounciation? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 04:48 AM PDT i listen to a lot of fanfiction stories while working. due to the nature of the stories and their context, i have two problems: there are a lot of fantasy or punny words that a TTS engine, no matter how intelligent, will mispronounce in the most annoying way available. some of the authors have invented a new class of paragraph break that works by typing
thanks, i did not need to listen to the word "asterisk" 30 times. other such paragraph breaks are even more creative. my solution of choice is to use the "speech editing feature" that replaces the mispronounced words with a phonetic replacement of my choice. or whitespace in the case of the creative paragraph breaks. example so far, i know only of two apps that support this: and the problem with voice aloud is that it really sucks at managing a library of books, often forgets the reading position, and adding bookmarks requires jumping thropugh hoops. the problem with FBReader is that it can't start reading at any position other than the beginning of a page and it takes a long time to start reading. do you know of any other ebook reading apps that support this feature? (i installed and uninstalled like 10 reader apps in the last hour) or is there a way to have that feature in a TTS engine that i can download and plug into my readers just like the google TTS engine plugs into them? if so, how? Is there a decent Keyboard for Android.? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 07:19 AM PDT Currently I am using SwiftKey and it has gone bloated by adding location sharing, event sharing, top bar etc and the fact that it has slowed down. I can feel it. I have been using it from past 3 years. I have also used Gboard and it didn't suited me. All I am looking for is a simple keyboard that is good for typing and has a dark theme, preferably black and without the creamy and over the top stuff. If it has auto-correct, well and good. If no, it will work for me. Any suggestions.? Thanks.! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Apr 2018 11:25 AM PDT Was wondering if it's a possibility to fix an app with either apk editor pro or app cloner (paid) version or simple Java class editing to get a app back to compatibility when the app runs fine maybe it's server side issue any help thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Apr 2018 11:03 AM PDT I am wondering why is so difficult to develop an universal Android call recorder. I mean one which would work on any kind of audio communication like phone as well as all other messaging app (whatsapp, telegram, hangouts, skype, etc). I am aware that there are a number of so called call recorders on Google Play but they rarely work for phone while for messaging app it's out of the question. [link] [comments] |

Any alternatives to Folder Sync? (I just want to sync two local folders on Android phone) Posted: 28 Apr 2018 05:58 AM PDT It's all there. I just want to sync two folders on my Android phone. I have a Nextcloud folder that I want to have as a duplicate of various files on my Android phone - mainly audio recordings. I used to use Dropsync, but don't use Dropbox any more. I can't get Folder Sync running for some reason. Any alternatives? And i'm not so keen to use Syncthing - tried it and it just burned through my battery. [link] [comments] |

[DEV] Quick Navigation- One click navigation to your destination Posted: 28 Apr 2018 04:37 AM PDT Hello. So I made this app for myself yesterday, I didn't even make it it's own logo or banner which I will eventually. Which apps do you use in older version? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 03:09 AM PDT The reason could be that older app has better UI, some of the features might be lost in the newer version or become hidden behind premium. [link] [comments] |

What is the best, most reliable app for detecting fake cell towers? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 06:36 AM PDT |
Posted: 28 Apr 2018 06:35 AM PDT Note: This is an android app. On Google Play store. My question is about the front end user functionality. Does anyone use this? I need help. I have a library called 'Calories' which tracks my daily calories. As well as daily, it has a 'Week' field which is an integer (1,2,3...), so for Week 1 the number 1 repeats seven times, then 2 repeats seven times, and so on. I'd like to create a separate library that contains unique Week entries, then (in SQL talk) left join the 'Calories' library so I can have a weekly aggregate table. Is this possible? I don't know much Java, but I do know SQL, SAS, VBA, so I know how to follow coding logic once I understand the syntax. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Apr 2018 06:22 AM PDT Need to be able to view only emails sent to myself. I know it seems weird, but it's for an GSuite email alias - I want to view only emails sent to that alias. Outlook on PC can do this, any app on Android can do the same? [link] [comments] |
App to read aloud what's playing? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 06:19 AM PDT Years ago I had an app that read aloud what was playing before or after the song. I can't find it now... Any ideas what it was or anything similar? Great when you have Spotify on in the car! [link] [comments] |
