Why do you need another media player?

Why have many downloaded VLC or PotPlayer?

Does Microsoft Movies & TV offer inferior quality?
I don't understand the whole thing.
Playing a video, what else would you need other than this feature.
Can you convince me that Microsoft Movies & TV is really not an advantage in general use?

I wish you a nice day.

What do I set this to I am overwhelmed with Logitech Z407 speakers wired. iTunes says it should match settings for best audio quality but can’t do it with current default also for gaming.

    Windows (11) Explorer Cool Trick

    Posted: 30 Jan 2022 11:51 AM PST

Accidentally found that you can have the Windows 11 and Windows 10 look for the file explorer at the same time, no registry changes.

    1. Open Control Panel
    2. Keep going up a level (ALT + Up Arrow)

How does computer shut down when it's stuck?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2022 11:43 AM PST

So I'm curious to know how a computer knows to shut down/force reset when it's "stuck". Like, it's stuck on the screen (Mouse and buttons do not work), but when I hold down the on/off button, it turns off?

    Thanks in advance.

How to shrink my Linux partition from Windows 10?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2022 10:58 AM PST

When I built my PC 2 years ago, I did two partitions on my NVMe (700GB Windows and 300GB Linux). I haven't even booted into Linux in over a year, and my Windows partition is down to 80GB. I want to significantly shrink my Linux Partition down to 70GB and allocate the free 230GB back into Windows.
What is the easiest and safest method to do this without killing Windows and/or rendering my PC as unbootable.

Can you upgrade to windows 11 for free after trying it and going back to windows 10?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2022 06:52 AM PST

Hello. I am currently using windows 11 and I like it but I hear that it's slower than windows 10 so I want to switch back to 10 to avoid the performance downgrade. My question is if I can upgrade to windows 11 for free again a few months later after switching back to 10.

Can I still use windows 7 or xp for school work?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2022 07:56 AM PST

I know it had ended support. But I am still using windows 7 as my main pc and windows xp as a backup/second pc. But I really want to avoid upgrading them because they just ruin my childhood memories with it. Please tell me if it's an okay idea

Does going from Windows 10 to Windows 11 increase usable RAM?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2022 11:34 PM PST

My laptop is Acer Aspire A315-42G . It has 8192MB RAM, but only has 6082MB RAM available. Does changing to Windows 11 makes my laptop make use of all RAM? If not, how do I get access to it?

It's interesting to think that at some point in our lives some of us have probably drank the water from the clouds in the Bliss wallpaper.

It feels surreal, but those clouds in the Bliss wallpaper really existed and their water is still here today.

Why did Windows XP create "System Reserved" partition instead of just using C:?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2022 06:35 AM PST

edit: clarification so mods don't delete my thread: I'm not having a problem and I don't need help, this is 100% a curiosity question. I don't know when all the tech subs started this mondays-only help crap but I'm tired of mods falsely deleting my non-help posts everywhere I friggin go and making me waste my damn time. Please learn to use your eyes guys.

After many years of peace, my old arch-nemesis System Reserved partition has returned to haunt my dual-boot adventures once again.

Yes I know you can force it to use C: if you pre-partition the drive with just 1 partition on it, but still, what was the point of doing it this way by default? Anyone know?

Because I hate seeing flag emojis as two letters because windows doesn't want to implement them. Is there a way I can change windows emojis into apple emojis?

Can I install Windows 11 Pro with a Windows 10 Pro license? Not upgrading a current Win 10 system, but fresh install from Win 11 install image

    Posted: 30 Jan 2022 01:44 AM PST

Can I install Windows 11 Pro with a Windows 10 Pro key using a Windows 11 install media? I want to install Windows 11 Pro on my computer using a Windows 11 image. A fresh install, I do not want to 'upgrade' from an existing Windows 10 Pro installation.

It's confusing to me. I would like to just buy a Windows 11 Pro license (from MS, Amazon, legit site, etc), download the image and install using that key, but the only options I'm seeing are 'upgrading' from an existing Windows 10 install. I do not want to do this.

    What are my options?

    Thanks for any help!

100% Disk Usage on Windows 10 - But installation pendrive reduces it from 100 to 50%

    Posted: 29 Jan 2022 11:54 PM PST

I did a reinstallation of windows 10 in my laptop but it created a issue of 100% disk usage and this issue is not becuase of any service or update or driver. But Actually this isuue has some relation with the USB installation pendrive Because when i inserted that pendrive, immediaetly the disk usages reduced to 50% from 100%. And when i eject that pendrive, immediaetly it increses from 50 to 100%.

I have reistalled the window 4 times and each time same issue occurs. I changed the pendrive but same issue occurs. And that Installation usb is made by official microsoft software, which directly download the window from microsoft.
