The punch hole on the OnePlus 8 Pro is a step back Posted: 17 Jan 2020 03:59 PM PST Why they don't realize? We bought the OnePlus 7 Pro because we wanted an all screen phone. The hole is so ugly. If we wanted a hole we would buy a Samsung not a OnePlus I hope the leaks are fake and there's no hole. [link] [comments] |
How long does a screen repair take through OnePlus? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 07:40 AM PST So I dropped my 7T yesterday, and the screen got a crack that wasn't that bad. Wasn't planning on getting it repaired, until the AMOLED panel slowly started turning blue/purple, and this morning it was entirely black. OnePlus appears to be the only company that repairs the 7T and no one seems to sell replacement screens, so that's my only option. Anyone have experience getting a screen replaced by them? How long does it take? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2020 01:18 PM PST Looking further, seems the OP7T has a smaller battery as well. Excepting the shipped version of Android, what's the deal here? It feels like for a device released in the same year this isn't making a lot of sense to me. Oh, And I'm buying it tonight so if I make a poor decision I'll cry and lament my choice for the next 3 years. I placed the order 3 minutes ago, and no buyers remorse yet! I went with the 7 Pro! Posted: 17 Jan 2020 08:30 AM PST Is there any plan to add pro mode in video mode just like in photography? I think that many of us would love to use that. [link] [comments] |
Power button to turn off face unlock? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 05:12 PM PST I recently had to reset my phone, but before i enabled some kind of mode that where you press the power button like 5 times in a row it disables face/fingerprint unlock. What is that feature called and how do i turn it back on? [link] [comments] |
Any good electronic gimbals for a OP7T? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 08:49 AM PST I've been looking around for a phone gimbal to take smooth video with but a lot of them have height and weight restrictions and the 7T is pretty tall and heavy. Has anyone had luck with a gimbal in particular with a 7T? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2020 08:21 PM PST Although no hole punch certainly looks better, 8 and especially 8 Pro will come with things which make a pop-up camera impossible.
a) Two additional cameras (1 front and 1 back) b) Each camera sensor size will be bigger c) 4500 mAh battery d) SOC (SD865) with additional modem (non integrated) e) Wireless charging f) Bigger fingerprint scanner. Every mm inside a device is at premium. So ditching pop-up camera frees up a Lot of space for upgrades detailed above. We can't have it all. You gain some, you lose some. In this case case we are actually gaining a LOT. [link] [comments] |
Has anyone found a solution for this MMS issue yet? It is driving me insane Posted: 17 Jan 2020 04:22 PM PST https://i.imgur.com/RF0T4VJ.jpg Using a OnePlus 6T (T-Mobile variant) using Android Messages. I can't tell if this is an issue with my phone, T-Mobile, or Android Messages. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2020 08:04 PM PST The only thing that's killing me about the Galaxy is it doesn't give you the option for WQHD at 120hz otherwise it would be the perfect phone. Now OnePlus is taunting 120hz at WQHD and a 240hz touch input. I'm so torn and wondering which one I should get? Opinions are appreciated... Trolls aren't :) [link] [comments] |
How to put Oxygen OS onto a oneplus 7 pro that is pre loaded with Hydrogen OS? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 03:14 PM PST Downloading the latest update from the OP website and using local upgrade to implement it into the phone just says 'the version of your selected package is lower than that of the current system. To avoid booting up failure, downgrading is not allowed'. I assume this means it's out of date but is there any way to stop this and gain the ability to download standard western apps because i dont want to send it back as i need a functional phone. OnePlus 5 charging port malfunctioning Posted: 17 Jan 2020 12:58 PM PST Hi, I have had my OP5 since July 2017. The last couple of months I have started having a problem where I plug my charger (original) to the phone but it doesn't charge
The phone doesn't show the charging animation on the screen neither the led turn red to indicate charging. After plugin and unplugging several times, the Led finally lit up red and the phone start charging. To fix this, I have cleaned the charging port and remove linen and dust but the problem persists. Here are a couple of screenshots of CPU-Z showing the battery status for:
It's quite odd that the phone detect the charger but it don't start charging. I'm thinking about buying a charging port and replacing it, but the CPU-Z information makes me think that it may be a software problem Also, if I plug the phone to the computer, the PC doesn't detect it I have to re plug several times until it work.
Thanks very much [link] [comments] |
Am I the only one that doesn't have consistent finger print scanning? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 08:42 AM PST I have two registrations of my thumb and three of my index just so it quits struggling to identify and unlock. I can only have 5 finger for registration so I can't put my left hand on there. Just rather aggravating. Edit. Oops forgot. [OnePlus 7 Pro] [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2020 09:17 AM PST So I dropped my 6T today, and now the display is completely black. Oddly enough, the screen itself isn't even so much as cracked. The website says a parts costs for the screen, but would this include both the screen and the display? I saw on the forums that a water damaged display costed around $120-150 to fix, and the issue in question seemed to be pretty similar to my own. Would this be a pretty accurate figure to expect? Can I use a TracFone Verizon sim card on a OP7 Pro? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 05:40 PM PST My current phone is outdated and I am looking to get the 7 pro but I am unsure if I am able to? Thanks for the help! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2020 10:51 AM PST I've had my OnePlus 7 Pro since August, really enjoying it. It's my first OP device, and I recently discovered that if I swipe from the left, there's a step counter there. However, I can't see anyway to interact with that data (clear, look at history, etc.). Am I missing something or is there no way to deal with that data? [link] [comments] |
Issues with phone calls on OnePlus 7 pro Posted: 17 Jan 2020 12:45 PM PST Whenever I make a call the keypad buttons keep getting pressed during the call and making beeps. It's super annoying and happens even when the screen is black. Any fix? [link] [comments] |
OnePlus could learn a thing about customer service Posted: 17 Jan 2020 04:08 PM PST New to OP, received a 7T about 25 days ago, had some solid green tint and asked them around day 20 to return the 7T and just get the 7Pro instead to avoid this Green Tint hassle. They said I can't do that and instead would need to send in the defective phone I just received to be 'repaired'. So I'll be without my phone for 5-7 days for the chance to possibly receive a non-green tinted phone. Reading around it sounds like people often receive a 2nd or 3rd 7T that still have green tint. Apple has a 14 day return policy and let me return an iPhone 11 after 2 months no hassle because the YouTube Music app is pretty buggy on it. What is OnePlus losing by letting someone switch to a 7Pro? [link] [comments] |
Flashing OnePlus from 3rd party Posted: 17 Jan 2020 04:04 PM PST If a third party reseller put malware onto a OP phone, would downloading and installing the latest OxygenOS from OnePlus website overwrite / remove any potential malware on the phone, or would it just apply updates and keep the malware? [link] [comments] |
OnePlus 6T no longer saving Screen Calibration. Posted: 17 Jan 2020 03:49 PM PST It's been going to what appears to be the 'Natural' preset, even though 'Vivid' is still selected. Any one else experiencing this? Is there a fix? [link] [comments] |
Original OnePlus charger just got burned. . . Posted: 17 Jan 2020 03:29 PM PST So 10 minutes ago I went to put my phone to charge for the night ( yes I know, not the best option) but the moment I tried to plug the brick into the plug sparks came out and the power went out. . . After I fixed the problem I went to see the charger and what I saw was that a piece of its legs got burned (EU charger), the iron got burned and it smelled burned plastic and alloy. . . I am really afraid to use this again into my phone in case it destroys it and OnePlus isn't selling this charger any more ( I have the OnePlus 7 so it's the charger before warp charge just like 6T) what can I do? 6T showing AT&T instead of Cricket on 10.3 Posted: 17 Jan 2020 09:27 AM PST I have a OnePlus 6T that has been on pie for a while in cricket wireless. The network always showed cricket. I noticed once I updated to 10.3, my network always show AT&T now instead of Cricket. Anyone else experience the same thing? [link] [comments] |
Oneplus 7 pro 8gb nebula blue GM1917 Posted: 17 Jan 2020 11:37 AM PST Is it even possible buying the US version of this phone anymore? I would much rather purchase the US version rather than a chinese model. [link] [comments] |
