Posted: 17 Jan 2020 08:35 AM PST I know there are other note threads around but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a solid note app for a software developer. I've been using Evernote for some time now but it's clunky and I'm just not liking it anymore. Also it doesn't need to be for just software dev. I write alot as well and keep a bunch of info in my current notebook. Things I'd like to have: Android and Desktop app. Dark Mode. Markdown. [link] [comments] |
Note app which works like Telegram's "Saved messages", but with multiple channels? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 10:58 PM PST For most of my note taking, I use Telegram's Saved messages -feature, which is basically a "chat with myself". I've tried for example Evernote, but it never feels quite as snappy as instant messaging apps like TG / WhatsApp do - everything just seems to happen a bit more slowly. The only problem with TG's Saved messages is that categorization is difficult. All of my messages are in the same chat. I think I'd be content if I found a similarly fast & snappy solution, but where I can just have many separate chats ("groceries", "work", etc)... Any suggestions? :D [link] [comments] |
Apps for swiping gestures to open shortcuts to apps when screen is off like on Oneplus? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 10:04 AM PST Oneplus has this thing where you can draw an O or a V on the offscreen and it will open up the app (if there's no lock then it will automatically go to the app. If there is one, then you have to unlock after drawing the symbol). Is there anything like this on the appstore? I have the Note 10 btw, if that's any help. [link] [comments] |
Best alternative to the official SoundCloud app? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 08:40 AM PST I have always used "My Cloud Player for SoundCloud" however recently it was removed. I really liked the "Sort by plays" function in your stream, which is not supported by the official SoundCloud app. Any recommendations for alternative SoundCloud apps? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 17 Jan 2020 09:09 AM PST Basically an app that tells me "You've been using your phone continuously for X minutes, maybe take a break?" So I could set X to be 15 mins for instance. I have ADHD so I often get lost on Reddit in a row. Android wellbeing works on a daily basis but I'd like one that resets the timer every time the screen locks. Another example would be at the gym, I can set the time for 2 minutes. So in between sets if I get too distracted I know to go back to my workout cause it will notify me of continuous 2 minute use of phone, reset after I lock screen and go back to my workout and repeat when I finish my set again. Anyone know an app that does this? Thank you [link] [comments] |
[LF] Clipboard App that supports photos and links Posted: 17 Jan 2020 11:16 AM PST I love Gmail, I am a Google Reseller and live in the sandbox, happily. One think I've always struggled with is the way the Android official app handles signatures - you can't have a rich signature like you can on Chrome with photos and links.. I've tried other email apps like Spark, which support these sorts of sigs, but if much rather avoid adding new apps to my phone that duplicate the functionality of another - I don't want two email apps. So, long story short, I've leaved that I can copy my signature from a sent email and paste it into a new draft on mobile, but I'd rather have an app (widget would be even better, that auto loads the clipboard with a single tap) that lets me fill the clipboard with my rich content signature, and then paste it into a new email message I've tried a few and all seem to convert the content to text, even using Google Docs [link] [comments] |
Is there an app that syncs clipboards between android and windows? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 11:03 AM PST I used to use an app called Pigeon but there's only an extension for chrome, and I've moved over to Firefox. Is there an app that syncs clipboards between windows and android? [link] [comments] |
Did Xender add ads? I remember it being ad free. Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:58 PM PST A splash screen ad popped up when I opened the app and there's a tiny ad on the top right. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 12:51 PM PST After getting locked out of numerous accounts using Google Authenticator, (lost phone), I finally gave Authy a try. I wish I had used it sooner. The auto backup feature makes it worth switching alone. The chrome extension is an added feature. [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Free android app to change Spotify playlist image, name and description Posted: 16 Jan 2020 06:04 PM PST Hi guys. My name is Victor. I wrote an android app to help people to change the playlist image, name and description of Spotify playlists so you don't have to get a PC to do it anymore. Try it out and give me suggestions on things I could improve. I would be extremely grateful for every and all criticism. Turn Wi-Fi on/off in specific location Posted: 17 Jan 2020 07:41 AM PST None of the ifttt recipes that I've tried are working for me. Is there a working app or ifttt recipe someone would kindly recommend to me that will turn Wi-Fi on when entering a specific location and turn it off when leaving? Oneplus 7 pro, A10. Possible to replace the Google Phone (Dialer) App without rooting/flashing? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 03:49 AM PST Hey everybody, I'm currently in the process of minimizing my phones reliance on Google Apps without installing a custom ROM. Thus, I skipped the account login and disabled all the Google Apps I could and installed alternatives from F-Droid. Unfortunately I so far haven't been able to get an alternative dialer app (Emerald Dialer, Lineage Dialer) to work, as the ones I've tested so far seem to rely on the Google Phone app being enabled to work. Seemingly, the system apps responsible for managing calls restrict the possible apps that can be used to place calls. Does anybody know of a solution for this? Thank you! <3 [link] [comments] |
App That Read and/or Write Advanced Tags Posted: 17 Jan 2020 01:27 AM PST Android tagging apps show only a few tags. I have many advanced tags in my music that I would love to be able to view from Android (it would great having the option to write them, but just being able to see them would be good enough for me). Examples of advanced tags: Grouping, Language, Mood, Occasion, Tempo, BPMs... I've tried every tagging app I stumble upon (and even some music players) but non of them could read the advanced tags of my MP3s. There's probably nothing there, but I still hope some mastermind here in reddit knows something that I haven't been able to find. [link] [comments] |
What's the difference between MiXplorer and MiXplorer Silver? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 09:33 PM PST I'm thinking of buying a few apps with Play rewards and leaning towards MiXplorer. What are the upgrades from the normal version. I can see the addons are packaged but is there any additional benefit of getting the Silver version.or does it remove some limits? I tried searching but couldn't find a comparision. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 10:02 PM PST OpenDataKit (mobile data collection for social good) announces how they will deal with the discontinuity introduced by Scoped Storage changes in Android 10, and how they plan on announcing the changes to their users. If Google is not doing it, all app developers should probably follow suit and in their help and What's New within the app start preparing users for the changes ahead.

Looking for grocery list app that keeps track of stores Posted: 16 Jan 2020 08:10 PM PST Years ago I used Grocery Gadget on iOS, which had a feature where you could enter your stores, and then on the products, you could pick which store they were available in. Then when you shopped, you could pick which store you were at, and only products at that store would show up. It also kept track of aisle orders per store, had barcode scanning of items, and the ability to sync between multiple users. Does anyone know of a grocery list app that checks off all those features? What are good android apps that resize text automatically? Posted: 17 Jan 2020 02:05 AM PST I tried Phonto (Fonto?), but when I pasted the text, it goes straight and past the image. I had to cut the text by entering each time, resulting in poor text balance. I'm looking for apps that adjust the text automatically, like when you paste a text in Photoshop using a PC, the text just perfectly aligns and doesn't go straight in one line. [link] [comments] |
I'm looking for an app or a widget to monitor mobile data usage with day and night count option. Posted: 16 Jan 2020 10:09 PM PST Hey.
